Bradenton, Florida link to MPYSCan I have feedback regarding the placement of a mentioning of MPYS in the Bradenton, Florida article? Tkfy7cf (talk) 10:16, 16 May 2010 (UTC) Manatee Palms Article FeedbackIn the MPYS article, I have placed two new tidbits of positive information; per MS's request. Tkfy7cf (talk) 10:14, 16 May 2010 (UTC) Re: Manatee Palms Youth Services DYKHave a little patience. In order to prevent starvation, hooks for older qualified articles are generally given preference over brand new nominations to the DYK suggestions page. Despite the article having only been nominated today, the nomination for Manatee Palms Youth Services has already been checked and looks good for a Main page appearance. At this point all you need to do is wait till the nomination is moved to the scheduling queue. --Allen3 talk 19:44, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
recent dykThanks for the praise, I've shrunk it down a bit. Calistemon (talk) 09:21, 16 May 2010 (UTC) Speedy deletion declined: Sardar Mohammad Aslam khan LateHello Tkfy7cf, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Sardar Mohammad Aslam khan Late - a page you tagged - because: Not nonsense - there is meaningful content. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. HeyThanks for the message on my talkpage. I noticed you've also been new page paroling. Have you heard of WP:TW? It really helps me patrol pages. TheDude2006 (talk) 17:31, 16 May 2010 (UTC) YorkviewHi there. The article is highly notable, as it is a Canadian electoral district. Six articles had dead links to it already, so I created it. It is not in good shape, but it is notable, and is part of the Canadian Politics portal (when I get finished linking to it). Please be patient, I've just started the article, thus it is only in its embryonic stage.--Abebenjoe (talk) 19:26, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:MPYS hospital.jpgThanks for uploading File:MPYS hospital.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself. If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. cmadler (talk) 20:02, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
TreatI consider this a completely idle treat in retaliation for an insistence on following Wikipedia content standards. You will observe that I have NEVER made an edit to your user page, only to your user talk page, and I am confident that any reasonable observer will find all such edits warranted. Report away. cmadler (talk) 20:31, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
LedeI assume you saw my note at DYK as to the lede; just wanted to make sure, though. I (as you may have gathered) didn't think that template-bombing the lede was necessary or appropriate, but rather than slow down the DYK, I encumbered the lede with what I believe are unnecessary refs.--Epeefleche (talk) 20:56, 16 May 2010 (UTC) Re: coffeeEveryone always has time for those things :D Old Al (talk) 21:25, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Possibly unfree File:MPYS 2.pngA file that you uploaded or altered, File:MPYS 2.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:46, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Maintenance tagsI've removed some of the maintenance tags you added David Segal. 14 tags in addition to all the inline ones you added is excessive and more likely to put people off reading the article at all than encourage them to improve it. Several of them duplicated each other too. Please don't add that many tags to an article in future, consider using tags to address the most serious issues and then discussing the problems specifically on the article talkpage.--BelovedFreak 00:09, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
May 2010Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you! Tonywalton Talk 00:50, 17 May 2010 (UTC) PRODFYI: Removing a PROD template is not vandalism - any user may contest a proposed deletion by removing the template. —DoRD (talk) 00:54, 17 May 2010 (UTC) no subjectDear sir or madam: It might seem that you have taken it upon yourself to go on a crusade against me and what I have posted in good faith. I know you're trying to do the right thing for the Wikipedia community, but I wish you would help, make suggestions, or at least point me in the right direction rather than dump on what I have done. First you flag Charlotte Centre Curling Club for deletion, then after I make very good points as to notability, you flag it for speedy deletion. Then you leave a nasty-gram on my talk page about too many links which I am guessing is for List of curling clubs in the United States. If someone posts something and does not cite it, then they get beat-up for it. So I work for hours and hours on list to replace the very incomplete and out-of-date list that preceeded it and cite it as completely and throughly as I can and I then get beat-up for citing too much? If one web site is a cite for many items on a page that is a list such as the one mentioned above, then should I not cite it as many times as applicable? In the spirit of Please do not bite the newcomers I am asking you sincerely to help me do better. Thanks for your attention.--WaxonWaxov (talk) 05:16, 17 May 2010 (UTC) no subjectHi, i made two articles yesterday, and they got deleted. One of them was deleted and it said i was spamming when i wasn't. Why were they deleted? My name Borat (talk) 14:41, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Looking for Wikipedia AmbassadorsHi! I'm leaving you this message because you are listed as a Wikipedian in Boston. The Wikipedia Ambassador Program is currently looking for Campus Ambassadors to help with Wikipedia assignments at schools in Boston and Cambridge, which will be participating in the Public Policy Initiative for the Spring 2011 semester. The role of Campus Ambassadors will be to provide face-to-face training and support for students on Wikipedia-related skills (how to edit articles, how to add references, etc.). This includes doing in-class presentations, running workshops and labs, possibly holding office hours, and in general providing in-person mentorship for students. Prior Wikipedia skills are not required for the role, as training will be provided for all Campus Ambassadors (although, of course, being an experienced editor is a plus). If you live near Boston and you are interested in being a Wikipedia Campus Ambassador, or know someone else from the area who might be, please email me or leave a message on my talk page. If you're an experienced and active Wikipedian, you might be interested alternatively in becoming an Online Ambassador. The role of Online Ambassadors is to serve as mentors for students; it doesn't require any in-person outreach. Take a look at the Online Ambassador guidelines; the "mentorship process" describes roughly what will be expected of mentors in the coming term. If that's something you want to do, please apply! You can find instructions for applying at WP:ONLINE. The main things we're looking for in Online Ambassadors are friendliness, regular activity (since mentorship is a commitment that spans several months), and the ability to give detailed, substantive feedback on articles (both short new articles, and longer, more mature ones). --Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 21:17, 20 December 2010 (UTC) Orphaned non-free image File:Screen shot 2010-05-25 at 9.38.03 AM.pngThanks for uploading File:Screen shot 2010-05-25 at 9.38.03 AM.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
