ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Timmyshin. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

It looks like you are continuing to create categories such as Category:20th-century Sierra Leonean male actors and Category:21st-century Burkinabé male actors that are against the guidelines at Wikipedia:Categorization/Ethnicity, gender, religion and sexuality. Please stop. If you feel like the guidelines need to be changed, please discuss that at Wikipedia talk:Categorization/Ethnicity, gender, religion and sexuality. You moved Wang Dan to Wang Dan (dissident) with no discussion. A previous discussion concluded that he was the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. I am having the page and the dab page restored to how they were before your move. If you still think they need to be moved, open a requested move first and get consensus. Please stop moving Hong Kong TV articles

Timmyshin, please stop moving Hong Kong TV articles – as per WP:NCTV, the full country name, in this case "Hong Kong", is supposed to be spelled out. Nobody is going to know what "HK" is supposed to be, and doing this is contrary to WP:NCTV. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 13:03, 8 May 2017 (UTC)

User:IJBall Nevermind that HK is not a country, everybody reading those articles will know what "HK" is supposed to be, and finally please stop claiming things that aren't found in guidelines. You have no authority to make these moves – WP:NCTV is quite clear on this matter – U.S. and UK are the only exceptions to spelling out the country name (see the "Canadian" example). Your moves are disruptive. Please stop. I have already requested Administrator intervention on this matter. move of Zheng Yanfen

When I moved the article currently located at Zheng Yanfen, I stated in my edit summary "WP:D at standard pinyin." I moved the article to Zeng Yanfen (politician) after reading the giudance at WP:PINYIN, which states a preference for Hanyu Pinyin for Chinese subjects. Because Zeng (surname) redirects to Zeng, I believe that that the standard pinyin spelling should be Zeng Yanfen, with disambiguator politician. The subject of the article was active in Taiwan, so Wade–Giles spelling Cheng Yen-feng could be used (per WP:ZHNAME), but Zeng did contribute to the Second Sino Japanese War while based in mainland China, which is why I moved to Zeng Yanfen. Sockpuppet tagging

Hi there, thanks for your help rooting out sockpuppets at SPI. I'm coming by to ask you not to "tag" any more user pages with the {{sockpuppet}} template, and to leave this to the SPI clerks. I've just deleted a number of user pages that you added the tag to for users which didn't exist, and for users who were never listed in an SPI case. I also wanted to let you know directly that the cases at Ren Yifan and Mokezhilao have been merged to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/123Aristotle, and all future reports should go under the merged case.
