In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:06, 17 December 2009 (UTC) Universal MonstersThanks for the Barnstar, Theo!! The article was fun. MinnowsOn many articles you have piped links to minnows so they redirect to Leuciscinae. Why??? I authored a number of those articles, and the correct link is to minnow, a general term that applies to any number of small fish used as bait fish. The article on Leuciscinae is obscure and unhelpful for the general reader. It doesn't even bother to mention the common names for minnows, and adds nothing useful to what was offered on the minnow page. I have added a clarification to the page. Please revert your redirects. --Epipelagic (talk) 23:33, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Ab Initio ConstitutionI don't know if you linked Ab Initio in Constitution to point to a company on purpose, or if it was an accident. If an accident, please be aware that you did it; if on purpose, please don't. It was right before (and I've restored it). Best wishes Pol098 (talk) 16:43, 5 February 2010 (UTC) ab initio → Ab initioCould you explain this edit? I have reverted it, but I may be missing something... --Edcolins (talk) 19:48, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your message on my talk page, and for all the good work. Happy editing! --Edcolins (talk) 09:43, 6 February 2010 (UTC) Disam leaderboardWell WikiCleaner helps. It lets you do edits really fast. And secondly, I tend to look at the bottom of the disam list to do my disams. Why? Because the ones high on the list are high for a reason, i.e. they are very difficult. Ones in the 3 and 400s tend to be easier. --User:Woohookitty Disamming fool! 01:01, 6 February 2010 (UTC) Sons of AnarchyHi, I'd eventually like to create a page for every Sons of Anarchy episode, but right now I think we should create character pages for: However, SOA Season 2 has not yet aired in the UK (where I live), and therefore I have no knowledge of their character biographies. If they are indeed notable characters, I'd appreciate it if you could create pages for them. When Season 2 airs here, I will certainly help out. - WölffReik (talk · contribs) 22:, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
CanvassingHi Seashorewiki, I reported the above Ip on the ANI page. The user above removed some sourced lines from one of the House episode pages I edit as well, when I cited another source he renamed the section as trivia then tagged it as miscellaneous with a edit message that it will be removed in a month. If you want to comment on his position, you can leave a comment on the ANI page section about the IP user above. I think we have something in common here and I support your position if it helps, one anon IP user should not get to decide what other people contribute especially if its sourced. Thanks --Theo10011 (talk) 17:28, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Message replyHi Theo10011. Thanks for the message you left on my talk page. Indeed, it's a little difficult to source everything in an article, especially if it's in a Trivia or Cultural References section. Most, if not all of the information therein has probably been contributed by someone who just wanted to add a little information - that they knew - about the topic. Obviously, you can't source most of such information; that's why it's in a Trivia section. For example, if someone is noting that a particular song was played, unless you were on the production team, you probably couldn't define a source; it is what it is. And even if you were on the production team, what source would you give? Me? Such items may well be wrong, but they're probably right as someone took the time to add their personal knowledge to the topic. I don't see why Trivia information needs to be sourced; most times it can't be. And if someone wanted to take the time, they could track down the song in question just to confirm that the trivia item is correct. And if it is, it still can't be sourced. As I said, it is what it is. The episode synopsis (i.e. the main plot) is not sourced. It's not confirmed. It's just someone bothering to spend the time to share some information with others. If one wanted to confirm the information, one could watch the episode and I'm sure everyone would write something slightly different as the Plot. That doesn't mean it's wrong. And again, it's not sourced. Regards, Seashorewiki (talk) 04:52, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Grab some glory, and a barnstarHi, I'd like to invite you to participate in the Guild of Copy Editors July 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive. In May, about 30 editors helped remove the {{copyedit}} tag from 1175 articles. The backlog is still over 7500 articles, and extends back to the beginning of 2008! We really need your help to reduce it. Copyediting just a couple articles can qualify you for a barnstar. Serious copyeditors can win prestigious and exclusive rewards. See the event page for more information. And thanks for your consideration. ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 15:38, 10 June 2010 (UTC) Volleyball playersI have seen that you edited some volleyball articles. Some players articles, most of them looks outdated. I would like to improve players by country. Could you please choose a country to contribute with? Please take a look on Yekaterina Gamova, Hélia Souza, Serena Ortolani and Kenia Carcaces for a model to follow. Please can you please improve some volleyball players with infobox and some addons? References are very important. Let me know. Oscar987 22:57, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Hello, and follow up on social campaigns.Moved to the relevant talk page on Meta. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Next War (poem), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Next_War. It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues. If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. You're available?Any ideas for other "In the news" stories? There's one meaty one there, but not much else. Tony (talk) 01:27, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
House episodesThanks for your comments about TenPoundHammer's unilateral and undiscussed action to remove virtually all episode articles. You might note that he/she has removed some with proper sourcing. I have reverted some of those, but I don't intend to get into an edit war. If I had the time I would add sources and restore them. I may work on that a bit at a time. Thanks again. Cresix (talk) 15:55, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
TV.comIf TV.com has been used in other articles, then it shouldn't be there either. All the content on that site is user submitted, much like IMDb. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 19:11, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

Done, Cleaned up the main page a bit, moved all the userboxes in one collapsible box. I am not attached to anything on that page, so feel free to delete anything that gets in your way(you can delete all the content on the main page if it gets in your way), I can add anything I need later. Thanks again. Theo10011 (talk) 19:21, 21 October 2010 (UTC) Hey Roux, I took some initiative and moved the sub-page to the main page, I was waiting for you to populate it but just couldn't wait to see how it looks. I absolutely love it......I am going to use the part of the header on Meta too, if its alright. This was really great, professional design work, you should be doing this for a living (in case you don't ;). Take care and Thanks again Roux, you're awesome.Theo10011 (talk) 14:20, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Signpost helpHey Theo, I'm contacting you and TheDJ (as designated backups who have contributed recently) in response to my forthcoming unavailability for the Signpost Tech report. I hope to be able to write much of this week's report, but I'm not around on Monday, so the report may well need updating for breaking news and/ or polishing. Next week's issue will be similar, but I won't be around on the Sunday either. The issue in a fortnight I may miss completely, or I may only be able to contribute very late in the day. Your help with any of these issues would be very much appreciated. I do have a few useful links: the userbox on my userpage turns into a useful preload link when the next issue hasn't been started yet (it does all the dates and whatnot for you); [1] is a list of the bugs *closed* as fixed in the last 7 days (you need to be careful); [2] is of course the blogosphere; [3] is the server admin log; [4] foundation-l; [5] wikitech-l; [6] is our sister project's take on things. I hope that helps, and once again, thanks for any help you can provide. - Jarry1250 [Who? Discuss.] 17:03, 15 October 2010 (UTC) ThanksYour welcome. I think the table probably needs a column that indicates why it is considered a landmark. The other option would be to use the references to source the landmark status. It is much easier to add columns and adjust formatting before the table gets too large. Vegaswikian (talk) 00:08, 19 October 2010 (UTC) Thank you!Thank you for your support at my RfA last week. Your rollback requestHello Theo10011, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert anything else (such as by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with) can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning, depending on the admin who becomes aware of any misuse. If you think an edit should require a reason for reverting, then don't use rollback and instead, use a manual edit summary. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 21:58, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Reviewer grantedHello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use. Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages. For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Dabomb87 (talk) 22:55, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Carat Security Group page hatnoteDear User Theo1011: I refer you here to the following recent dialogue over the Carat Security Group article with Administrator Ponyo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Ponyo#Carat_Security_Group_page_deletion. A good deal of effort was put into creating and sourcing this new article. There are tens of thousands of pages at Wikipedia better deserving such a hatnote. I have no connection with Carat Security. We're telling stories of Wikipedia users, editors, donors, programmers and staff to paint a picture of who uses Wikipedia - for the 2011 fundraiser. I am in the process of planning a trip to India to gather stories from Indian Wikipedians in face-to-face interviews (possibly on video). My primary goal is to conduct 15-20 interviews, and hopefully enough of my interviews will make compelling stories that will effectively solicit donations from the public. These stories may also be used for other communication purposes by the foundation. I found your userpage on a list of prolific Wikipedians and thought I’d reach out to you. Prolific editing is always a good story to tell! If you are interested in participating, please contact me via my email: vgrigas@wikimedia.org Thank you for your time! Hi, Signpost exit pollDear Wikipedian, you recently voted in the ArbCom election. Your username, along with around 155 other usernames of your fellow Wikipedians, was randomly selected from the 2000+ Wikipedians who voted this year, with the help of one of the election-commissioners. If you are willing, could you please participate (at your option either on-wiki via userspace or off-wiki via email) in an exit poll, and answer some questions about how you decided amongst the ArbCom candidates? If you decide to participate in this exit poll, the statistical results will be published in the Signpost, an online newspaper with over 1000 Wikipedians among the readership. There are about twelve questions, which have alphanumerical answers; it should take you a few minutes to complete the exit poll questionnaire, and will help improve Wikipedia by giving future candidates information about what you think is important. This is only an unofficial survey, and will have no impact on your actual vote during this election, nor in any future election. All questions are individually optional, and this entire exit poll itself is also entirely optional, though if you choose not to participate, I would appreciate a brief reply indicating why you decided not to take part (see Question Zero). Thanks for being a Wikipedian The questionnaireDear Wikipedian, please fill out these questions -- at your option via usertalk or via email, see Detailed Instructions at the end of the twelve questions -- by putting the appropriate answer in the blanks provided. If you decide not to answer a question (all questions are optional), please put the reason down: "undecided" / "private information" / "prefer not to answer" / "question is not well-posed" / "other: please specify". Although the Signpost cannot guarantee that complex answers can be processed for publication, it will help us improve future exit polls, if you give us comments about why you could not answer specific questions.
Detailed Instructions: you are welcome to answer these questions via usertalk (easiest), or via email (for a modicum of privacy).
We do promise to try hard, not to make any mistakes, in the processing and presentation of your answers. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact column-editor GamerPro64, copy-editor 75.108.94.227, or copy-editor Ryk72. Thanks for reading, and thanks for helping Wikipedia.
