Magic Crayon (copy of deleted article)Hi there, sorry but I am not experienced in this. I would like to ask you a copy of the article about my band, which was deleted some time ago. The name of the band is Magic Crayon and you can read about the deletion "process" here: [[1]] (the last entry). The band Magic Crayon will tour the USA this summer and I would like to look for a more spacious wiki to publish an updated article about it. Thank you in advance. Kind regards. --NBahn (talk) 02:43, 10 December 2009 (UTC) Tosh.0The vandals have moved to Tosh's article now. I'm falling asleep. I protected the article, but it's a mess. If you start an effort to fix Tosh.0, Tosh's article should probably be fixed at the same time. Cheers, Tomertalk 04:07, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
ReplyThe dude who made the Tosh.0 page is a dick. Tosh.0 said to edit their wikipedia page and they would read funny edits on the air but the dick who made it set it so you cannot edit it. Way to rain on the parade dick, why did you even make the page (get a life) . Bring Flashforward Back- Deleted??I created a page on Wikipedia called Bring Flashforward Back. A day later it was deleted under "Speedy Deletion". The page was fairly short as the fan campaign has only been around for a little over a month so efforts towards the show are limited as are information about the campaign. The page was made to educate people on the fan campaign for the show Flashforward currently running called "Bring Flashforward Back" and the efforts being made to bring the show back for a second season. Under section A3 it states that the reason for deletion is that the article only provides external links and no content for the reader. The whole page is content educating the reader on the fan campaign. There is no reason that the page should have been deleted. Can you undelete it or at least send me a copy? Thanks, Kris --Krisp8888 (talk) 23:38, 6 June 2010 (UTC) Hey, just in case you missed it, there is an oppurtunity to get a free dinner this Tuesday August 11 and a chance to meet and hang out talk about Wikipedia:WikiProject United States Public Policy and WP:GLAM/SI. Two points of interest to U & one maybe not.? Scouting -- New Zealand & ? ((me)) .. "somewhere inside NZ"Hi .. Many many moons ago ..! I thought that maybe- I had sufficient reason ..? Especially after 45yrs worth of "privately funded", secretively private research Into accoustical characteristics & harmonic effects .. buried within analogue multiple ch surround sound.. And .. having discovered 9quite by accident) in 1965 .. exactly WHERE & how to "Deplexer Decode" many multitudes of analogue surround sound channels (almost entirely ALL different physically enabled channels.. being full frequency & thus individually separate yes.. but still yet semi dependant upon each others existance .. for that of their own); And: After having started MAKING that research PUBLIC.. (via Xanga & Youtube.. facebook, and a multitude of forumss etc.. I thought maybe - it was time -- for the public to know too? But apparently (this daft old kiwi) - a back_behind the wooden_stump (old) Kiwi Innovator .. Living and thus arriving INTO public view .. from Down-under NZ (buried as I am - somewhere "deep" in the forgotten rural heartland of Central Otago, NZ) I made a fatal mistake see..! I decided on a NON_DE_PLUME .. which thus ONLY related to the actual NAME of the tiny wee Central Otago town -- (where I am currently domiciled.. in the Teviot Valley) .. exactly halfway between Dunedin & Queenstown .. It is that place called: ROXBURGH (on any halfway decent MAP). And- as it was OBVIOUSLY (wel- obvious to me) "bang_smack" in the CENTRE of Central Otago, Deep in Mainland NZ..! I simply called myself: User: ROXBURGH_NZ Well- stranger things may have happened to my "late" Great Grandad (Lieutenant Colonel David Cossgrove, DSO) But I sincerely doubt it..? As: some dweeb rouge bot thingie "electronic" editor here on Wikipedia; For a reason known ONLY to it's ignorant creator../ Had thus decided to insult me .. by calling me a socket pupett -- ? (of something in the Altlantic Ocean? ...) And thus -- instantly .. MY ENTIRE inputs on audio accoustical properties (in analogue) & mt own talk discussion page .. AND my talk:talk page.. ? These were all LOCKED SOLID... pemanently BANNEd (and deliberately blocked to me) HOWEVER.. I am -- a genuine "innovative" Inventing PATENTED - New Zealander.. whom was to say the least -- extremely disgusted & ofended by that action. Therefore.. I "used" my (actual) NZ Company "Trading Name" (BRAND). To thus "prove" (beyond any shadow of doubt) .. I AM A NEW ZEALANDER.. And .. I actually have photographs of: Sandymount. & Lieutenant Colonel David Cossgrove. Whom- years ago -- before he became famous in the Boar War .. or in: SCOUTING And definitely long before he became famous for his DSO (or as mum told me -- about the day when asking her OWN Grandmum "Selena_Cossgrove" .. ?Why'd Grandad get a medal for having his - doodle shot off? -- And mum said .. even though in those days .. such talk resulted in an instant whack -- her Grandmum wa laughing so herd .. she forgot to punish her) Thus.. Uncle David -- as he was formerly known When he lived in Dunedin .. Uncle David: Was his own "penname" non-deplume.. (that he used to call himself.. when living at Sandymount, on the Otago Peninsular .. with the other half of my Family -- "the Robertsons" ... & I have lots of photos of Sandymount too) .. Uncle David was later to become famous as: Lieutenant Colonel David Cossgrove, DSO (But to me.. as he was my Mum's Grandad .. he was just "my" Great grandad) He did often WRITE articles for the ODT (Otago Daily Times Newspaper) Whereupon he penned these all-- ? as "Uncle David". But.. it's NOT this .. that upsets me the most. ? What does UPSET ME ! Is that I cannot for the life of me.. figure out...? HOW DO I UPLOAD these photos .. of David & Sandymount .. etc.. Or.. would you just prefer i whack them into my Facebook page:? re: Lieutenant Colonel David Cossgrove - DSO (NZ) | Facebook http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-snc4/277118_165956883481479_4120560_n.jpg Lieutenant Colonel David Cossgrove's FULL MILITARY UNIFOWM c/w his medals & DSO DUAL PHOTO SHOWING THERE (both the frontal view AND THE REVERSE SIDE -with notations in Selina's own Handwritting.) QUIX4U (talk) 06:40, 18 September 2011 (UTC) Please archive - as this is probably (by now) well outa date .. Because it is obvious to me now .. that Wikipedia "blocks" IP addresses without actually "knowing" whom owns them .. if any one ? I can "also" see that Wikipedia doesn't understand the Telecom (NZ) way of doing things .. Which is to "float" almost ALL NZ users of their broadband & dialup services .. across a variety of IP's .. Totally independant upon any IP address you may have had .. the LAST time you were connected to their internet braodband highway Such that virtually no-one .. anywhere in NZ has a fixed IP address.(apart from some whom pay exhorbitant prices for FIXED IP addresees)

Notification of pending suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivityFollowing a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in over one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that if you are inactive for a continuous three year period, you will be unable to request return of the administrative user right. This includes inactive time prior to your desysopping if you were desysopped for inactivity and inactive time prior to the change in policy. Inactivity is defined as the absence of edits or logged actions. Until such time as you have been inactive for three years, you may request return of the tools at the bureaucrats' noticeboard. After you have been inactive for three years, you may seek return of the tools only through WP:RFA. Thank you. MBisanz talk 00:20, 4 December 2012 (UTC) December 10 is Ada Lovelace's birthday! We hope to see you at our upcoming events! If you have any questions, feel free to ask on my talk page. — Harej (talk) 05:11, 3 March 2014 (UTC) An exciting month of wiki events!Hello there, I am pleased to say that April will be a very exciting month for Wikipedia in Washington, DC. We have a lot of different events coming up, so you will have a lot to choose from. First, a reminder that our second annual Women in the Arts Edit-a-Thon will take place on Sunday, March 30 at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Coming up in April, we have our first-ever Open Government WikiHack with the Sunlight Foundation on April 5–6! We are working together to use open government data to improve the Wikimedia projects, and we would love your help. All are welcome, regardless of coding or editing experience. We will also be having a happy hour the day before, with refreshments courtesy of the Sunlight Foundation. On Friday, April 11 we are having our first edit-a-thon ever with the Library of Congress. The Africa Collection Edit-a-Thon will focus on the Library's African and Middle East Reading Room. It'll be early in the morning, but it's especially worth it if you're interested in improving Wikipedia's coverage of African topics. The following day, we are having our second annual Wiki Loves Capitol Hill training. We will discuss policy issues relevant to Wikimedia and plan for our day of outreach to Congressional staffers that will take place during the following week. There are other meetups in the works, so be sure to check our meetup page with the latest. I hope to see you at some of these events! I have made a request at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive262#Userfication of deleted and salted content. The article has been deleted through AFD twice and the first time was upheld at DRV. The first version was 49KB readable prose, while the second version was 33KB readable prose. Although many have argued the second was a recreation of the first, two separate admins reversed their own WP:G4 deletions upon further review. It seems that a third admin speedily declined another G4 although I am unable to see the history right now and did not notice this during the second AFD. I have a long history at successful recreations (12 articles now at WP:GA are formerly deleted articles that I have recreated, including "Cat Daddy" which was deleted 4 previous times). The second AFD seems to be an indictment against any future recreation of the article, which is befuddling to me. I would like to learn something from this seemingly odd result. I have requested a userfication that includes history and talk page so that I can investigate policy/guidelines. So far the best userfication offer was by Floquenbeam to restore it for a fixed 2 week expiry. I have stated that 2 months would be more appropriate than 2 weeks because no policy discussion can be guaranteed to conclude within 2 weeks and I have several that I would like to pursue. Floquenbeam, has stated his hesitance is based on assumptions of bad faith regarding my intentions and that I have made a phantom "refusal to agree not to bug people about tagging or edits they made to the article prior to deletion" which I never made (I was actually concerned about the 2 week expiry and forgot to assent to the request). I am unable to discuss things with Floquenbeam who has not edited in 3 days (since 20:43, 28 May 2014). As a frequent recreator of content, I would like a chance to become a better editor by examining the various policies related to this outcome with the content available for illustration and instruction.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 14:22, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
The Great American Wiknic and other events in JulyI am pleased to announce our fourth annual picnic, the Great American Wiknic, will take place at Meridian Hill Park in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, July 13 from 1 to 5 PM (rain date: July 20). Creation of Gilpertpedon stand alone articleNew Updates & Messages For Active Participants in the Marvel Comics work group
Greetings to you all & a great weekend. I took the iniative to send this mass message to you all because I observed from the article on Elders of the Universe that certain key members of the Elders of the Universe have no article of theirs and most glaring is that of Gilpertpedon/The Runner. I believe subject has become notable enough for a stand alone article & it would be a great idea for someone in possession of a picture of the runner which is their own work (as to avoid image copyright violations) to begin the article. Then the rest of us contribute to the article’s development.Celestina007 (talk) 14:38, 25 January 2020 (UTC) --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 12:49, 26 January 2020 (UTC) Pending Action Requiring Urgent AttentionGreetings to you all & a great weekend to you all.
