I was wondering if I am the only one who is finding that the leaderboard is not loaded with the players in the Tournament of Champions. I've gotten the tee times page to load, but the leaderboard page is giving that message "Leaderboard will be available once tee times are official." for me. Well then, that website may have had some sort of change done to it in the last 11 days. If not, my old computer would still (I assume) be loading the leaderboard page at that site. So, not only can I not do the European site anymore, but now I can't get the leaderboard to load at the PGA site either. Looks like I'll be doing less stuff in Wikipedia concerning the nationalities than I had the last few years. World Cup 1983

Your revert at Paula Creamer

Hi, Tewapack. I saw that you reverted my edit at that article. Would you mind checking one of the 2015–2019 world ranking links against the current rankings? I found while working elsewhere that the rankings past the top 50 seem to be from the current list, not the one for the intended period. As I'm typing this, I clicked on the 2017 and 2018 lists to make sure I wasn't going crazy. Both are showing Jennifer Kupcho, who wasn't a pro back then, at 51st. The 2017 list on my computer has Chella Choi at 49th and 74th, which obviously can't be right. That’s a really bizarre error. I get the same result - but, if, while I’m on a page that shows more than the top 50 and click the arrow to advance a week, say from 25 Dec 2017 to 1 Jan 2018, and then arrow back to 25 Dec 2017 and hit the “view more”, the results are correct! I noticed that you have made a distinction between Vines' wins between the Australian circuit and the Australian PGA Tour. How do you know that?

Thank you! I have been trying to construct a tour schedule from 1973-2005. (We have wiki pages for Australasian Tour schedules starting in 2006.) However I have not found any reliable sources. Is there a way you could somehow provide us that information. I would like to add Nigej and 51.6.161.113 to this conversation as I have been discussing this issue with them.

1968 is really difficult. Not many scores find. Actually, Svensk Golf was most complete. Less reports when tournament was played in latin countries I've experienced.

Great. Concerning 1967, Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph - Nov 13, 1967 got the individual prize money totally wrong. The purze was unchanged for several years. The newspaper just read the prize money list: 1000, 500, 400, 200 and converted it in an inconsistent way to the results. I corrected in a logical way.

1971. I think I finally made it! Can you please make a quick check? Scores and placings were difficult for Denmark and and Switzerland and are now corrected according to individual scores. I also changed the coordinates, which could be wrong for some other WC-years.

Almost done. 20 years of World Cup events 1967-1996 (two years no tournament) in a couple of weeks. Just a few spaces to complete. 1992 and 1970 were difficult. Complete results must be somewere. There's also common with different spellings of unknown names in result reporting. I've tried to correct it as much as possible.

Matchplay Result(s)

Per MOS:AMP, the "&" should only be used when space is tight (like in match play brackets such as 2019 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play) and "and" should be used in running text or where space isn't limited. Tewapack (talk) 02:18, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

World Cup 1977

Fantastic how you found out almost everything while I was sleeping (in Sweden as you understand). I was very confused about the second Philippines team and didn' have time to clean everything up. Guatemala was also missing in the Hawaii newspaper I found. (But isn't it sad to delete individual results we have found out? Is there a Wiki policy decision about that? I think the International trophy is an individual tournament of international importance.)

A few other things I've noticed now.

- Hans Hedjerson, Sweden, spells his last name with one s. He was one of Sweden's best players during the 60's and 70's and are now 76 years old. I've checked the Swedish address register.

- I'm pretty sure the Greek, Israeli and Yugoslavia players were amateurs. Se https://www.nytimes.com/1979/11/11/archives/world-cup-stresses-friendship-us-team-holds-lead-by-5.html NY Times 1979. Probably the players from Nepal, Libya, Czechoslovakia were amateurs too, but I can't check that. Norway didn't participate this year, but when they did during the 70's, it was always with amateurs, in opposite to Denmark and Finland who usually sent professionals. Sweden sent instructing pros until middle of the 70's and thereafter tournament professionals (as results show..;-))

- The name of the Thailand player Uthai Dhappavibul, was probably spelled this way in the result reports from the Philippines tournament in 1977, but is spelled differently the other years he represented his country, Uthai "Thabpavibul" in 1982 and 1984. Difficult to decide which is the correct one, but we should keep to one version I think.

All the refs say either "P. Cotton" or "Peter Cotton", so I'll change it back to Peter unless you have a source that says Patrick. For Uthai, first I'm not sure that it is the same golfer. Hi again, I just wrote an e-mail to the French PGA and asked. Let's see if they can give us the correct information. "Dear Sirs, We are a few golf fans trying to create and update the World Cup of Golf Wikipedia artikel and separate artikels for each World Cup/Canada Cup tournament from 1953. A discussion has started concerning the French representatives 1977. Several result reports say Jean Garaialde and Peter Cotton, but I can't find a French pro named Peter Cotton. Was it Patrick Cotton who played the 1977 World Cup for France in Manila, Philippines, with Mr Garaialde? I would very much appreciate your help for the correct historical information. Tylenol Par 3 contests

Hi i would like to remove these wins from the professional wins section on players pages. As they are par 3 contests for a start and not real golf events. Also The Masters par 3 contest does not count and nor should this for lots of reasons. It was a professional event, hence the prize money. Just because it was played on a par-3 course doesn't make it an exhibition. The PGA Tour Champions played a regular event on a par-3 course for several years, Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf. Masters Par 3 is an exhibition, no prize money, kids playing some holes, etc. - different beasts. By the way, no big deal, but Svensk Golf magazine has been published since 1946, with differnt number of issues each year. First year only 5, until 1983, it was less than 12, during many years in th 90s and 00s it was 12. 2019 it was 9. OKey, I understand that the standard for a magazine source needs a date. I will try that way. Digitalized scanned "Svensk Golf" has been a "gold mine" from the period before internet. Unfortunately, since January, 2000, there are no tournament results there, but the Swedish site "Golfdata" http://www.golfdata.se/guide/ is very complete for tournaments all over the world for at least the last 20 years.

I think I got Alfredsson and Neumann quite complete. A little work left on Neumanns LET playoff record. As I know a lot about the elder Swedish players backgrounds and early years, it's easy for me to better the articles.

Which way should sources be named for each tournament result? If the results can be find on the tours website, I don't mention any source by the result, but if the result (like most of the old LET-scores for Nemann and Alfredsson) is more difficult to find I put a reference to the magazine page just by the tournament name. Same with team appearances. OK?

U.S. Open field

Web.com vs Korn Ferry Tour

You reverted my edit citing Web.com Tour was the name of the tour when the player won the event. There are players that have won on the tour multiple times under different names. A designation isn’t made in those cases, so it would seem to me, logically, that the most current name should be used for consistency & to avoid confusion. If the most current name is used, then hundreds of winner's pages would have to be changed each time the Tour changes names. That is both inpractical and anachronistic. Trevor Immelman never played or won on the Korn Ferry Tour, he won on the Web.com Tour. I'm involved in some CfDs right now. I noticed that you have done some editing on the article Caddie Hall of Fame. So I wanted to let you know that there is a CfD ongoing on for the Category:Caddie Hall of Fame inductees. The editor who created it apparently did not notify the WikiProject Golf. One of the arguments is WP:OVERLAP with the category Category:American caddies. The CfD proposes that the hall of fame category be deleted rather than the American one. Anyway, letting you know in case you want to comment over there. Your improper use of inline citations.

This isn't the first time either. I remember this[2]. A IC[3] saying Lee Trevino said something at the 1975 U.S. Open when the reference said no such thing.

Your addition of this[[1]] on a sentence naming four American golfers is just as wrong because the article makes no mention of any names for the Americans.

As far as I can tell, per the OWGR website, points remain provisional until published following completion of all qualifying events for the week. 2020 Nordic Golf League

Hi, just for example this weeks Barsebäck Resort Masters on the NGL is listed on OWGR as being an NGL event. However on the NGL's website it states (Not NGL) beside some of these events including this weeks event. This has me confused, is it a NGL event or not? Schedule link here: [5]. Hi there, On the Ecco Tour website, the tour announced on July 20, 2020, that, due to travel restrictions, tournaments were taken away from the Nordic Golf League Order of Merit Golfbox Road to Europe, but will still take place and be counted on the Swedish and Danish tours respectively. I'm confused about using the name of the tour at the time a tournament was won. For winners of the Masters Tournamnet before 1939, what tournament name should be used? Did Horton Smith play on the PGA Tour (it didn't exist when he played) and win a Masters Tournament? Did Johnny Miller win a TPA event or a PGA Tour event in 1981? Throughout Wikipedia, the current tour name is used. The sports media uses the same standard. Using past tour names broke a link on Albus' page. Besides, the PGA Tour Champions link gives the naming history of the tour, ditto for the PGA Tour, so why introduce confusion? For the first time since World War II there were no American contenders – not even a contestant during the final 36 holes. The last four were cut off yesterday when the field was cut to 48.
