Looks good, can't think of any major changes needed. I mainly just fixed some typos. Like I said in the edit summary, Quake 1 had support for new models, but Quake 2 actually had proper ingame support for loading them easily (using menus or console commands). Not sure how it was done in Q1. Rooster Teeth used the Halo 3 saved film function to film some/all scenes in Reconstruction. This also eliminates the HUD, and thus the letterboxing. I need to relisten to the commentary to confirm some of this. Finally, is it worth mentioning The Seal of Nehahra? It made use of AI, scripting and manual camera control, and is currently the longest running machinima film (AFAIK).--Drat (Talk) 13:10, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

As for the inline citation in the intro, I don't understand the problem, I've looked at other video game FAs and many of them have citations in their intros. Ah, 25, I know is a problem. Simply put, the story of that reference is that I read on a forum that demo discs for Soul Reaver came with the magazine. The problem is that the magazine has apparently since shutdown and come back entirely revamped, so I had to search for hours to find just the production code of the issue. Beyond that, I can offer nothing for it. Fortunately it's a relatively minor problem since what the ref is sourcing isn't vital. The Clawed One (talk) 04:27, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

For GIA, I found IGN referencing them for an article, and GIA also once sourced Videogame.com, which is the former domain name of GameSpot. Given they seem to have sourced and been sourced by two established reliable sources, I hoped they would also be acceptable. If not, I'll try and find others. Reading the IGN article, I think it would actually work better, because IGN notes they emailed Eidos and received a reply, so there's an additional layer of....I guess, verifiability, that the GIA source doesn't have. The Clawed One (talk) 05:17, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I have a question about Talk Page policy. As per the requirement that discussion on an article's Talk Page be about ways to improve the article rather than a general discussion of the article's topic, is it within policy for an admin to remove a thread if it's entirely a general discussion about the article's topic rather than about improving the article? Ultima Underworld copyedit

Hi, TKD. I remembered your excellent copyediting work on Halo: Combat Evolved, and then I saw that you're still copyediting (Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver), so I thought you might be willing to help me out. I've been working on Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss, and I'm going to be sending it through FAC soon. Hi, you probably don't know me, but I'm Tezkag72. I have been working for a long time on the article Shadow the Hedgehog (video game), and it not too long ago passed at GAN but failed at FAC. All the issues that led to opposes have now been fixed, except for the old "copyedit" issue that everyone knows. Can you please help me copyedit the article to meet the MOS requirements? Actually, the article's looking better. I have a question, though—you may notice that in the "music" subsection, there are a couple of references from questionable sources ("Sonic Planet" and "Sonic Retro".) Even though they're only used to source the fact that the soundtrack album was, in fact, released; this could also be shown with Amazon.com or other music distributors, but those aren't considered reliable. It was worded differently before; the ref was a bit more useful then. I removed it, though, because as far as I know the quote is the only instance in the game where anyone curses other than Shadow. Tezkag72 (talk) 00:03, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
I don't own or have access to any issues of Famitsu, and I have most of the Nintendo Powers from the issue one month after the Shadow the Hedgehog review to sometime in mid-2007. Turned out the review was in the January 2006 issue, which I do have. I put in the review. About Famitsu, though, it's a Japanese magazine, and I don't think that would help much; even if I could find a translator, translated material is usually not considered reliable, and definitely not for an FA. Cut & Paste Formula

Thanks for the advice, although it appears you've done the work for me. P.S. I did not just redirect pages, I merged 2 pages and then redirected them also the pages I edited aside from AM2 were pretty empty and horribly written without any references, I was planning on rewritting all of them from scratch, the cut and paste stuff was just temporary stand in, alot of it doesn't even make sense. Hard to say. There really is no perfect spot. I've written a very rough bit below (been too long since I've worked with prose). I'd suggest putting it after the sentence "Thus, it was impractical to enhance software to work with Quake III."

December 1999 also saw the release of the Quake engine source code. An early version of the DarkPlaces engine, allowing for enhanced graphical effects and editing capabilities, was utilized in the 2000 production The Seal of Nehahra, the last and longest feature-length Quake movie.
