I've noticed your edits at the table at Foreign relations of the United Kingdom and I think there's a misunderstanding with the dates. In many cases, (especially with former British territories) the first British ambassador/high commissioner presented their credentials on the same day that the receiving country gained independence - for example the British ambassador to Timor-Leste on 20 May 2002 (day the country gained independence). This is when diplomatic relations begins and for me this is under Common sense is not original research. I hope we can sort this out and thank you for your sizeable work on the page.
