User talk:Steeev/ArchiveHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Some of your recent edits, (e.g., Walthamstow Village) prompt me to offer this tip: Conventionally the title word or title phrase is highlighted at its first appearance in the article, often on the first line, thus: Walthamstow. I corrected this in two of your artilces. Michael Hardy 20:42, 19 Nov 2003 (UTC) Hello, Steeev and welcome. Here are some useful links in case you haven't already found them; If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! —Minesweeper 13:59, Nov 24, 2003 (UTC) P.S. You can sign your name using three tildes, like ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Hi steve. The minor edit check box is to indicate spelling corrections, formatting, reordering, that kind of thing. Many people ignore edits marked as minor, so you certainly dont want to check the box on a talk page. theresa knott 15:51, 4 Dec 2003 (UTC)
overlinkingSteeev, I am sorry but I just undid your two edits to Joseph Stalin. Please don't overlink; it makes the pages hard to read. Wikipedia:Make only links relevant to the context has excellent guidelines on what should and should not be linked. In any case, please do not link common English words like birth, death mother, and father. This serves no meaningful purpose. Thanks, -- Viajero 18:17, 14 Dec 2003 (UTC)
MonumentNot as in "X marks the spot" which is the way most people would interpret it rather than X points to the spot. Mintguy 19:51, 19 Dec 2003 (UTC) |
