User talk:Springnuts/ArchiveWelcome!Hello, Springnuts/Archive, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Simon SpringettI've nominated the article Simon Springett for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Simon Springett satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Simon Springett. Don't forget to add four tildes (˜˜˜˜) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Simon Springett during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. Regards, Accurizer 22:05, 24 April 2006 (UTC) Hi FlyerHi, I am a newbie but I think you were prematiure in deleting "Hi Flyer" using the speedy deletion process - as I had put a justification for keeping it in the talk page as indicated by the "proosed speedy deletion" tag. Was this an error? Regards Simon Springnuts 22:21, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
OK thanks for your reply, I can't find enough to satisfy the notability police at this time; I will make a note to re-write after this autumn's UK tour when there is something to quote. Thanks for your help Simon Springnuts 21:16, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

No problem and apologies if my comment seemed at all snippy. I suppose that the article should be moved, but I don't really have any brilliant ideas on where it should be moved to. If you have any thoughts on the matter, please leave a note at Talk:Ethelweard. All the best ! Angus McLellan (Talk) 17:54, 10 September 2006 (UTC) It's not nonsense. I just forgot to say "MAJOR ARTICLE SPLIT" in my first edit summary. Check the history at Gougou Sentai Boukenger. You'll see what I did. Ryūlóng 22:04, 11 September 2006 (UTC) Negative SyndicateI don't think it's nonsense - the link in the first paragraph seems to imply it's part of some Japanese tv show. Whether it's notable in the first place, and whether it needs to be a seperate article I couldn't say. Dave 22:04, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
AFDThe article you listed for deletion: Want It, had either been removed from the log or wasn't listed correctly. I've added it to today's log. I didn't close anything of yours. To start an AfD does not take fifteen minutes. Feel free to start AfD #4 - you're not precluded. - CrazyRussian talk/email 00:10, 1 October 2006 (UTC) A tag has been placed on NEXUS Trust, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why NEXUS Trust is really notable, you can contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.Seraphimblade 10:17, 21 October 2006 (UTC) I cannot undelete or delete articles, only nominate them, as I am not an administrator. After placing the nomination, an administrator would have reviewed the article, and it would be he or she who makes the decision to delete or not. However, anyone (including the article's author) may contest a page's deletion. If you would like to do so, place an entry at the deletion review page and your concerns will be reviewed. If the consensus is that the article should be undeleted and restored, an administrator will do so. You may also wish to read WP:BIO and WP:CORP to get an idea why the reviewing administrator may have agreed that the content did not satisfy notability. Seraphimblade 19:58, 22 October 2006 (UTC) EurofighterHello. Thank you for letting me know about your talk page edit. As I said on the talk page, £19 billion is for the UK's 232 aircraft, not the entire project cost. The page is about the whole project, so I've edited it accordingly. Mark83 17:01, 25 October 2006 (UTC) Hi, I saw your note that you hope your post at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism was the correct way to report a vandal -- well, it was! However, we do need to warn users before we block them, except in certain situations where the vandalism is blatant (a very large amount of vandalism or particularly obscene or attacking). Any user can do this -- just add a message to the user's talk page. See Wikipedia:Vandalism#Dealing with vandalism for more information. I've warned 198.59.99.217 for you. Thanks for your help! -- Renesis (talk) 23:28, 6 December 2006 (UTC) Please don't delete. I think it will be a good article (eventually). The deletion isn't required. ScorpO 00:32, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Umakant SharmaHey, i recently removed your speedy deletion nomination of Umakant Sharma, as this indivual has received coverage from CNN.COM. I am not the orignial author of the article, nor realy have any interest in it, other than expanding it. YOu readded the speedy nomination tag claiming that it had been removed by the author. If you pay attention closley, you will see that this individual passes WP:BIO. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 14:39, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of KepwareHello, I am a student at USM in Portland Maine. I study computer sciences and have often found useful information and example source code from Kepware. This article is is no way intended as an advertisment for Kepware and I believe that it is non-biased in nature and in no way promotes Kepware over any other software company. I used wikipedia all the time and have seen many similar articles, which encouraged me to create one about another software company that I knew about. You can find similar articles about Wonderware and Rockwell Automation to name a few which I have included links to their wikipedia pages on this page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by USMstudent09 (talk • contribs) 00:36, 29 December 2006 (UTC). Uriella speedy deletion tagHey there, I was wading through the nonsense speedy backlog. I have removed your speedy tag from Uriella as I don't believe it qualifies as nonsense. Confusing, yes, (and odd as well) but I think that's due to a translation problem of some sort. I haven't gone through all the sources (many are in German) but I think it's perhaps a cleanup, wikify, then see if it merits an article. Please let me know if you're seeing something I'm missing. Cheers. Dina 01:23, 29 December 2006 (UTC) Thanks for the heads up on the {{afd}} of the article on Umakant Sharma, it is much appreciated! I just wanted to give you a heads up that CSD A# are not criteria for image deletion, they have their own section of the policy. I labeled this image as an orphan instead. Soon, Orphanbot will come around and tag it for deletion after five days. Procedural nonsense, it could be ignore all rules kind of deletion, but this is more of a heads up for later new pages patrolling tagging. Keep up the vigilant hunt, happy editing to you. Doosan Group is clearly notable, and while I agree that User:Mirmo! has created a number of shaky pages, he/she appears to be interested in South Korean corporations in general and any concerns about their edits should probably be taken as good-faith notability problems rather than spamming. If you feel this template is not helpful or have another reason for its deletion, it could be listed at WP:TFD. Cheers, Deiz talk 09:39, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Did you mean "redirect, merge not needed"? Would you please clarify your position there? Thank you in advance, Black Falcon 21:17, 30 March 2007 (UTC) I saw your note on their talk page. Re: Apologies for inadvertent vandalismNo problem. I looked at the sandbox's history, and saw that someone redirected the sandbox to my page, just like you said. And thanks for reverting the edits made on it aswell. :) --AAA! I've asked a pastor friend to look over the article, its talk page and AfD discussion to see if he has any ideas. There is a common thread, but how to title it? I have my doubts if this can be done. This has been a great lesson in WP process for me, especially that 'I like it' is not a good enough reason for an article! killing sparrows 14:09, 3 April 2007 (UTC) ToolboxI was bored, drinking, and rereading old talk pages, and I noticed that you had borrowed the toolbox from my userpage. Your recent editsHi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 21:09, 19 August 2007 (UTC) Christianity ExploredIt actually looks a lot nicer now. You did a good job. I fixed the external links so that the actual words are the link. I would also advise that you create a references list with all of the sources that you have within the article. You know how to do that? Silver seren 21:12, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Edit Conflict Strikes AgainWow, I had something really lengthy and worthwhile, and then got the old "edit conflict" process that wiped it all out. Short version... Go with Matthew 28:19 instead of Mark 16:15, teach the world, leave preaching to others; walk the fine line of describing instead of promoting; respect the copyright; I can write the cold, unemotional version for comparison purposes if you're worried that it doesn't sound objective enough. Mandsford 21:47, 19 August 2007 (UTC) Questions regarding "Christianity Explored"Would you care if I did an edit? You can always go to history and do the revert if you don't like any of the suggested changes. This would be more of a matter of style, and not just a spellcheck, but without any alteration of content or meaning, Technically, anyone can edit, but I like to ask. The next big question is, what's the Emmaus Course consist of? I looked at the article about the Alpha Course, and the noted that CE, Alpha and Emmaus make up a trinity (right word?) of courses for study in the Anglican Church. Any cites to the Emmaus Course? Is it a three part series? (I'm guessing Alpha first (logically), Explored second, and Emmaus, naturally, at the end). Since it's a threesome of some sort, it makes sense that the three would be linked, but I didn't see a blue link for the third course. Mandsford 22:18, 20 August 2007 (UTC) OK, I understand that now. My parents were Episcopalian, and I'm acquainted with the high mass, low mass, and whatever the in-between is called, all linked by the Book of Common Prayer and other constants in a system that permits each church to otherwise "adjust the settings". Very interesting. Mandsford 12:02, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your speedy tag, however, OR is not a reason for speedy delete nor are "concepts" A7 material, but your tag did lead me to find that his had been deleted before and G4 is one of the best reasons. :-) Thanks for helping to keep WP clean. Carlossuarez46 20:52, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Conflict exchangeBased on your comment in which you thought 'Conflict exchange' was vandalism, I decided to do some checking. I discovered I was wrong. The common term in telecommunications for a telephone prefix that allows a large number of simultaneous incoming calls is called a choke exchange. I have moved the page over, changed the internal reference from conflict exchange to choke exchange and I will put in some references to show where the term comes from. Paul Robinson (Rfc1394) 12:58, 22 September 2007 (UTC) Spinodal decompositionSay, you had tagged this as original research, but it looks to me as if it is something real (due to the infamous google-test.) If you meant to say this article in particular was totally different from the concept, or else still disagree, you may of course readd some deletion tag. Otherwise I suggest we let it stay for a while to see if some scholars come by and find out if it is good or not. Greetings from a fellow RCP, Greswik 19:59, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Compass (charity) The Peasall SistersThis charity is a non government organisation providing services to people concerned with the health and social impact of illegal drug use. It was set up in 1986 and has a network of agencies across the UK. These agencies provide services spanning the areas of health, social care and the criminal justice system. Not found any evidence of notability yet - but they are big. Ok, just had time to check myself, and the reference already given ([1]) says: "The current forecast cost of Typhoon is £19,018 million, compared to £16,670 million approved at Main Gate." - that's likely what was meant by the original author. Anyway, I was just reading the article and noted how the paragraph made no sense (it says eurofighter cost increase compares favorably to f22) then changed it without own research or knowing anything about this topic, so I'll leave this to you :) --Allefant 09:44, 25 October 2007 (UTC) TYGlad I could help. Can you just have a look and check for me, I'm useless. Just as a note, your help with the article is much appreciated as I believe the motive for tagging it for deletion was malicious. Another editor had deleted all but the opening sentence of the article, so I restored much of the information also putting a message on their discussion page and subsequently they have tagged the article for deletion. Lara is a notable subject for Wikipedia and has done a number of major prouductions and despite certain peoples personal beliefs, even a nomination for an Olivier Award is a prestigious honour in the UK, being the equivalent of a Tony Award in the USA. If I do find a picture from flickr that is licensed under creative commons share alike or whatnot, can I just upload it and link to the picture without notifying the user, or is it just understood that they allow their picture for use without asking since they already licensed their picture a certain way?
