Next time I will be armed with the confidence of the copy cat. Autodidactyl (talk) 19:07, 1 October 2008 (UTC) Pankhurst British spellingsHey there, Spinning! Thanks for catching my spelling error on "labour" – I tried my best to use British English on the Emmeline Pankhurst article, but as a lifetime United Statesian, I'm nervous that I missed some spots. Do you have time to go through it (or maybe you already have) and check for other lapses I may have made? Thanks again! Scartol • Tok 00:47, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Loading coilSee this. I would also commend the whole thing to your attention. If someone else has referred to him as "brilliant", by all means quote them saying so and provide a footnote. Per WP:NPOV, Wikipedia cannot be taking a point of view here, no matter how widely accepted. Daniel Case (talk) 01:00, 3 October 2008 (UTC) And if a source says it, it is insufficient simply to point me to the footnote. As it is there's no way to tell it's from a source. It needs some attribution. (also, rereading that section of text, I must ask: did you just copy it from the book? That's not an accusation of plagiarism, just a gentle request that you edit and/or rewrite it to be more in accord with encyclopedic style. Daniel Case (talk) 01:05, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

JSWP DYKHi. I noticed your comment on the article talk page. I can no longer access the page 1954 in Frankel. Could you just verify that the figure 400 relates to JSWP and not the Bundist self-defense units? --Soman (talk) 22:44, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

I need to look at you a little closer, but if you want to go ahead and create a coaching page and answer the basic RfA questions that would be great. Also, what do you hope to obtain via coaching?---Balloonman PoppaBalloon 06:15, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Dr Mabuse - Page titleDr Mabuse (cycling) This excellent new page has been created by your old friend Les Woodland, but I suspect that it should be titled Bernard Sainz If this is true, what is the best way to rename/move/redirect/copy it, and preserve the history. Thanks. Regards. Autodidactyl (talk) 09:27, 28 October 2008 (UTC) ps (also copied to Victualler)
Main Page redesignThe Main Page Redesign proposal is currently conducting a straw poll to select five new designs, before an RFC in which one will be proposed to replace the Main Page. The poll closes on October 31st. Your input would be hugely appreciated! Many thanks, PretzelsTalk! 09:28, 28 October 2008 (UTC) Is there a reason behind this? Waacstats (talk) 18:07, 8 November 2008 (UTC) Your help with Baythorne EndHi - thanks for your help in the above dispute. I'm most grateful for you pointing out what I'd done wrong, as it was easy for me to see what was wrong with the other editors' contributions - without stopping and looking at myself. I guess the premise of the three revert rule is to stop edit warring, which (in this case) technically didn't happen with three reverts in 24 hours. I'm going to cool off on this article now, it's still in my watchlist but I'm hoping that now another editor has stepped in, they'll realise that there are reasons for our policies. Booglamay (talk) - 14:16, 9 November 2008 (UTC) Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cauer.jpg)Thanks for uploading Image:Cauer.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:12, 10 November 2008 (UTC) KlotskiHi, I saw that you recently added Klotski to Combination puzzles. Just thought I should point out that sliding block puzzles is possibly a more relevant link, since this is a general family of games that includes such things as Rush Hour, or Minoru Abe's pathologically difficult "Climb" puzzles (e.g. Climb Pro 24, for which no minimal solution is known due to the absolutely massive number of possible combinations and the nature of the puzzle, which seems to require brute-force search). Having said that, though, sliding block puzzle seems to need some attention and some fleshing out, and I'm wondering if you may have some knowledge about it that you could contribute.—Tetracube (talk) 20:20, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Qualifying the descriptive term "pro-family" as "self-described"Hi, you're the most recent editor volunteering assistance, so I'd appreciate your comment on this issue: Qualifying the descriptive term "pro-family" as "self-described" Thanks. —EqualRights (talk) 14:42, 16 November 2008 (UTC) SorryI'm sorry if it seemed like I was harassing everyone, I wasn't aware that replying to the occasional keep argument was a problem. If you think it is, then that's your opinion, but I'm not going to stop replying to comments just because you throw abuse at me. I might stop replying to them if someone asked me to, or pointed out what I was doing wrong, as someone already has, after your comment. Sorry to bite, but your comment shook me somewhat: this AfD has frankly blown up out of all proportion, I've had three abusive emails since it started, not counting the one threatening to report me to my employer. I know what you were trying to say, but maybe in future you could say it a bit nicer? Sorry if this sounds rude. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 22:30, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Could use your help and adviceGreetings! I'd be grateful if you could take a look at the recent history of the Christian Coalition of America article. An anonymous user with the IP 74.230.238.189 has been persistently deleting large portions of the article, and replacing other sections. I have repeatedly asked this user to discuss reasons for the deletions on the talkpage; there has been no response other than to re-insert the changes every time they're deleted. At this point, I feel that it's appropriate to request some form of arbitration, but I'm not sure which level of arbitration to seek. I noticed that you were willing to help out in matters of dispute resolution, and as a relatively new editor, I wanted to seek the guidance of someone more experienced before I take any further steps. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. --BRPierce (talk) 13:11, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
In response to your accusationsDid you even bother to check the picture like I said? By putting the pic back you are the one Putting the vandalism there. Not me I repeat. Blank.jpgRegarding Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/BreakEvenMatt: I can confirm that Repner1 (talk · contribs) was right--there was a the word "bitch" in that picture and Windymager (talk · contribs) put it there. You probably owe Repner1 and BreakEvenMatt (talk · contribs) an apology, as I think your response was out of line. Anyways, I have fixed the problem (see the SSP entry). --HoboJones (talk) 02:57, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Your RFCUI am writing to request that you rescind Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/BreakEvenMatt & Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/BreakEvenMatt. Two administrators, one an uninvolved party (User:Xymmax) and your admin coach User:Balloonman, agree that there is not enough evidence to warrant a RFCU. As User:Balloonman said "do the right thing" and rescind these allegations.--HoboJones (talk) 18:50, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
I have apologised to all involved on their talk pages. SpinningSpark 22:10, 5 December 2008 (UTC) No worries mate. I can see the reasons why you did it. I think it's best that we put this behind us :) Repner1 (talk) 23:03, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

You cited my use of the first person and lack of reliable source. Unfortunately, I am the reliable source and the citations anfd info in the entries from the band Dropkick Murphys is inaccurate and just plain wrong. I am trying to let the public know the real origin of the band's name, which they apparently are clueless about. I cannot come up with any more reliable resource than having known the real "Dropkick" Murphy. --Matthewsei (talk) 22:39, 23 December 2008 (UTC) Thank youThank you for your help with the mixed-signal integrated circuit article. --68.0.124.33 (talk) 04:07, 29 December 2008 (UTC) DYK for Bartlett's bisection theoremDravecky 09:25, 30 December 2008 (UTC) Help requiredHi. Please excuse the post but I was after some advice. I am having difficulty with an anonymous contributor who is posting and re-posting a speculative paragraph about computer crime on Gravesend Grammar School. As you will see from my user profile I have contributed a lot to the site as well as being the Chairman of the Governing Body. The contributor continues to post information which concerns a former member of staff, an internal and confidential staffing issue and draws a sepculative conclusion, which if I was the person named, I would consider to be libellous. Naturally I want to preserve the integrity of the article and avoid Wiki being used for speculation. The comments add nothing to the article about the history and nature of the school. I have reverted this three times but do not want to do more because of the three reverts rule, I have tried to keep my comments with the contributor objective, but I fear this will descend into an edit war. What do you suggest I do? Mithrandir1967 (talk) 21:20, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
