please unprotect the page Sakshama, when wikipedia is having articles for techfest, techniche and other technical fetivals. then why not a article for sakshama, a technical festival which was started from a small town of india in the year 2007 and now it is going to celebrate it's third version and it has been said as no #1 technical festival of north india. so i want to write a page for it please unprotect it.

Have created an video-clip using 'Downloadhelper', managed to convert it to an MPEG, rotated part of it and then saved the whole as an .ogg file. Unfortunately tried to upload it but got a bit worried about the licenses and as it's not the same as the original on flickr I thought it might be easier if I sent it to you first and let you sort that out. I think it would be best to upload the full length original stream in ogg format to commons first, so the original is on the records. Then, upload the edited and rotated form with the same name, which will "go over" the unmodified version. As far as I understand, its license on flickr permits modification, so it is ok to upload your modified version. If you experiment with the thumb code in the markup, thumbtime=n you might be able to fix it (note change that I've just made to previous post), unfortunately I can't seem to nail it down to well (ie change thumb to thumbtime=1) let me know how you go! 09:26, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I could probably have 'cropped' the black-lines, but remember I rotated a rectangle, so that would have changed the image from 'landscape' to 'portrait', I wish I could find out more about 'thumbtime', there seems to be very little out there on the 'net....Avicedatalk09:55, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
I think that it would be worthwhile to upload the original unedited stream in ogg format, so that the original is on record, and perhaps, in the future, it might be reedited with new software. The image on flickr could vanish, if the owner deleted it. For static images, I always upload the original flickr work in its original form, and then upload modified versions, which could be with the same name or a different name. I've created a potential education section here for the "History of Coventry" article. I'll see what I can add on the topic of health-care and hospitals in due course, but in any case, your comments and input would be most welcome. If the original private house that was converted to the Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital in 1838 still exists, that would make a good addition – I've an idea I've seen the address somewhere and will let you know what it is. Perhaps one of the hospital on Stoney Stanton Rd in later years in contrast to the University Hospital might be useful also, but otherwise I don't see that others would serve any real purpose. The foundations of the original St Mary's Church have been unearthed and are on permanent view (I think that is what they are). Perhaps, an image from inside the old cathedral showing the tower rather than the far wall and window. Snowman (talk) 22:22, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
The original C&W hospital house was at the end of Little Park St so probably no-longer exists. I misunderstood your question and thought you meant photos for the "Health and education" section, and yes an image of the foundations would be of interest as there is mention of them in the article, as well as one of St. Michael's tower and spire from inside the old cathedral. --RedSunset22:47, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Golden Eagle
Hi. I just redid my change of earlier today for the sorting of Golden Eagle. It is necessary because when you look at the Category page "Birds of Turkey" you will see that all of the other birds there are referenced alphabetically according to the first word of their name, not the second. Your change makes "Golden Eagle" solely stand out as unalphabetical.
This all arsises from a limitation with the Wikipedia Category referencing system. If you look at a list such as "Birds of Canada" you can see what an absolute mess is made when birds are sorted by the last word of their Common Name.WikiLambo (talk) 18:08, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Personaldata is for indexing somewhere on wiki. I think that "Shakespeare Birthplace Trust" could make a separate article, which will be enhanced by specialist editors. There is a redlink to it from the "Stratford-upon-Avon" article. Lets think about making two pages for a few days before moving the sandbox. Is that reasonable? I spotted an SBT redlink somewhere too when checking out the wls. It wouldn't be a bad idea to create a page for it; there may be something that can be gleaned from their website and then, as you say, specialist editors could work on it. It is very good and I like the images. I put it as a B class, but there is a bug in the template and it shows as a Start class. Someone should report it to get it fixed. I was thinking that if you started it as an article and developed it within 5 days then you could get a DYK. There are other constraints on what a DYK is. Snowman (talk) 21:48, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm glad you mentioned that; it made me check my refs, some of which I'd mixed up! According to the BBC site, it doesn't actually state that Barnum proposed to buy it in 1846, but we know from the SBT site that was when the property was put up for sale. --RedSunset20:55, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the many photos you've uploaded! Another request: You just uploaded a photo of a toucan here, but I managed to miss the earlier photo in the same photo-stream where the bill is shown far better. Consequently, it also shows the intergrade bill-pattern far better. If you have the time, could I get you to upload it and then exchange it with the photo I just added to the article here ? Completed - it appears to me that recently the links on en wiki are staying red for a few hours if the link is put on en wiki before the image appears on commons after a new upload to commons, after the new image has been processed on commons somehow it appears on commons, and then the en wiki page might need to be re-saved (with or without making an edit on the page) presumably to clear a wiki casche or a bug in the wiki software to clear the red link. I have already cleared the red link on the en wiki page by re-saving the page with on edit - nothing is registered in the page history that anything has happened if no edit is done at the same time, but it makes a big difference to the new image which becomes visible. Hi! Sounds like you may be considering making some changes to this image. I know nothing about MDD but a little about circadian rhythms. A suggestion. It is unlikely that melatonin secretion continues clear 'til 07:30 in this clearly morningness chronotype person. What was likely meant is that melatonin levels have returned to their daytime (undetectable) low by 07:30. Its half-life is less than an hour, so this would make sense. Sorry, you seem to have stepped unwittingly into a mine field, don't wory about it. Both the cropped images are better than the original lead image, which was only selected because it gave the full on iconic image that is recognised arownd the world. Regarding the new, my puritanical classicism prefers the Yomangani version because I think an architectural page whouls show the architecture at close hand and all else is secondary, but I'm not that othered which one is chosen. I think it would be problematic even with an adult male. Differences from nominate T. m. merula are that T. m. aterrimus is slightly smaller, its bill averages relatively shorter and the adult male is duller black or tinged brownish. The size cannot be judged from the excellent photo, the bill isn't obviously shorter, and on a first summer male the plumage is unhelpful.
On range, it should be aterrimus, but merula/aterrimus intergrades occur in the Balkans, or it could be a vagrant nominate bird. I'll add it to the article anyway, sicne we don't have this plumage. Thanks jimfbleak (talk) 16:15, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
