Love that new monthly archive! You do a fantastic job around DYK. Thanks once again for all your contributions! Gatoclass (talk) 00:18, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
Thank you :) I'm glad someone notices; I'm not around as much as I used to be, but I try to make myself useful occasionally (and for all you talk page stalkers, that doesn't mean I'm close to retiring...far from it). Shubinator (talk) 05:24, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
Yep, thanks LittleMountain. None of your scripts will show up in the new skin (called 'vector') unless you edit your vector.js (before it was a monobook.js, but since the default skin changed from monobook to vector, the scripts must also go in the new file). So to get all your scripts to work, you have two options: 1) copy and paste Special:MyPage/monobook.js into Special:MyPage/vector.js, or 2) create your vector.js with the line importScript('Special:MyPage/monobook.js');. My article on the Mount Tabor Methodist Episcopal Church (West Liberty, Ohio) is currently at DYK, but I've not been told of it by the bot. Any idea why not? I've seen that it notified other people with hooks in the same queue, and it's notified me about three other DYKs less than a week ago, so I'm not sure why this one is different. Nyttend (talk) 00:33, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
This is one of the few features of WP which really disappoint me sometimes: getting constant edit conflicts on your own talk page :-) Materialscientist (talk) 00:53, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
If only we all did like I normally do, and reply at the other person's talk page, we wouldn't get conflicts on our own talk pages :-) Thanks much for the explanation; I didn't know that it ever happened this way. Nyttend (talk) 02:36, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Zymne Monastery
Hello,
Please modify the name of the nunnery, because the monastery is the place for male monks, and nunnery is for females.
Zynme nunnery is the religious place for nuns, not for monks.
Kind regards,
I see you reverted my edit at Wikipedia:Recent additions/2007/April ([1]). I understand the archive should be preserved. On the other hand, the hook I edited is untrue, and I feel uncomfortable to let it as it is; maybe we should add a note to inform the reader. Do you know of other precedents like this? Thanks, Korg (talk) 16:29, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Also, are you sure it's not true? You commented out the hook saying it's unverifiable, but unfortunately that's not uncommon for DYKs that old. Shubinator (talk) 16:44, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Re: DYK for Mariusz AdamskiDYK for Mariusz Adamski correction
is doing great job in detecting main-page DYK-image protection. Does the bot detect current status only? It would be ideal if he could estimate whether the image will be protected all through the main page time. Materialscientist (talk) 22:18, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm glad the code came in handy :) Yes, it only checks if the file is currently protected. I could have it do a check for the whole main page time, but I don't have much free time at all...I should be able to get to it by the end of the month though. Shubinator (talk) 07:01, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Hmmm, I think so. IIRC it usually updates every fifteen minutes. We get this occasionally, sometimes it's a problem with the toolserver as I recall, but you might want to drop a note to Shubinator, he's our resident toolfixer. Gatoclass (talk) 10:12, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I help out on DYK occasionally. I'm having an issue with the scrolling sidebar recently (not just with Vector, it's newer than that). It doesn't scroll, and it's shifted down from the top of the page. Ideas? ErinM (talk) 18:56, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
I've cleared the cache (I know it's cleared because I changed one of the settings, and that change appeared). I'm running Firefox 3.6.3, and it happens at home on Windows 7 and at work on Mac OS X. I've just checked Safari on OS X and same thing. It didn't happen immediately with the Vector change, it worked fine for a while. This has been happening for around a weekish. ErinM (talk) 16:04, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
It's busted again. Left a note with ThaddeusB but he hasn't edited in three weeks. Is there any way it can be set up so you or others can also work on it? It's been broke a whole day now. — Rlevse • Talk • 10:31, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
Looks like it's running again. If he moves it to the Toolserver it'll be more stable and it'll be easier for us to access the bot if it's down. Shubinator (talk) 05:26, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
