And yet they are allowing the New Order album chain to stand as is, even though Sap and Jar of Flies are arguably more significant than this 1981 – Factus 8 – 1982. I am not entirely sure I would agree that Jar of Flies belongs in the Alice in Chains studio album chain simply on the basis that it was the first EP to debut at number one on the Billboard 200. The New Order EP 1981 – Factus 8 – 1982 was significant for a very different reason: it signaled a change in artistic direction and acted as a bridge between the still Joy Division-like Movement LP and the New Order-as-we-know-it Power, Corruption & Lies. This is indicated in the body of the main band article.

One could reasonably argue that Jar of Flies signaled a change in artistic direction between Dirt and Alice in Chains. Plus Jar of Flies was the frist Alice in Chains release with Mike Inez on bass. Shaneymike (talk) 13:41, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

When a person makes a series of consecutive edits like that you can just go back to the state before they started editing, you don't need to undo them one at a time. The procedure is to go to the IP's talk page and leave a warning, if they continue (or are already warned) report them at WP:AIV.

1. The edits of the user you are reporting must be considered vandalism.
2. The user must be given sufficient recent warnings to stop.
3. Unregistered users must be active now, and the warnings must be recent.

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). FYI

Hey there, I noticed a few of the articles you have edited (that I also have on my watchlist) have included sources from Blogger, ReverbNation.com, Facebook, Myspace and YouTube among others. Social networking and blog sites (the first three) are not considered reliable source by wikipedia's standards (see WP:USERGENERATED), simply because anyone can make them (even if they are made by the band members themselves, it still fails due to it not being a source from a third, indepedent party). YouTube is also not considered reliable; see discussions here and here as well as WP:YOUTUBE.

I'm not going to remove the sources and content because I believe that a lot of it is true, just needs better sources. With anything Seattle related, I've found that Allmusic, Seattle Weekly, The Seattle Times, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, The Stranger and The Daily of the University of Washington to be quite usefull as sources. Also search for newspapers and magazines specific to the area a band formed (Los Angeles Times, New York Post, Tucson Weekly, etc). Also music sites such as Rolling Stone, Pitchfork Media, Billboard, MTV, VH1, Blabbermouth.net, Metal Hammer and Rock Sound can be usefull as well. The closest thing to what you are after in terms of having your work looked at is perhaps the peer review, though I'm not entirely sure. Actually, one way of doing it is to work on the article in your own subpage, like I've done here, then request for feedback at WP:FEED.
