Cruise ship articles while you're away..Hi saberwyn, it is great to see you're active in the creation of cruise ship articles. I have an interest in this and have been doing it for a short while now, I will continue doing this while you have gone. It's also good to see you have made up a progress log! smart idea! contact me back --ChrisW 04:36, 31 May 2006 (UTC) Warhammer 40,000You know, I was unaware of the pounds/dollars/random currency mark. Thanks for pointing that out. KyjL 05:58, 19 May 2006 (UTC) ImagesShouldn't we leave the caption so yuo can say whether its from anime or model and which type. We probably need just one pic at the top and then others can be added within the article Giant89 I didn't realize you had an image with both. Definately use that. Those images are a little dark, but the content is good. You know that when we set Liger Zero's image it will be reverted every 5 seconds to a different one I'm color fixing some of your pics that you uploaded. Check out Shadowfox as an example More student life... imagesSaberwyn, I flagged the images with {{no source}}. That will result in their deletion in a week or so, especially since I doubt the original uploader will have any reason to put source info up now that the article got speedied. Daniel Case 17:24, 10 January 2006 (UTC) Warhammer 40,000 TempHi Saberwyn, feel free to have a poke at the page - I've done some changes to it already. -localzuk 10:43, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
Of Course it's me.Hey Saberwyn... I see that Voiceover and Voice Actor and the likes are fairly expansive categories. Having a number of credits and even finding links to my name around Wikipedia (specifically in Zoids / Dr.D), I thought I would be okay to add myself. As apparently, this is not really a cool idea, is there anyway I can go about creating a legitimate listing? Who else submits the names of the actors? I appreciate your heads up. Go to bat for me Saberwyn:). Dave Pettitt Is this article worth keeping on its own? I don't know enough about Warhammer to make an informed decision, but it seems skimpy. Joyous | Talk 01:10, 15 January 2006 (UTC) buffy afd nomthanks for fixing that category nonsense. some templates do it automatically and i didn't think to check. thanks Thanks for the Help and the SupportWill there be any problem if I add other credits after it's approved (hopefully)? I've got a good list I can add, but don't want to be going about it in the wrong way. Again... I really appreciate your help with this. Thanks for watching. Daveonefourone 23:06, 17 January 2006 (UTC) AfDCan I ask you what exactly do you believe you have done wrong on AfD? The post on that blog exists, and it is true that AfD is a discussion and not a vote. Another editor has restored the template, for you information. - Liberatore(T) 12:27, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
ThanksPlease accept my embarrassingly belated thank you for supporting my RfA, which much to my surprise passed 102/1/1, earning me minor notoriety. I am grateful for all the supportive comments, and have already started doing the things poeple wanted me to be able to do. And hopefully nothing else... Just zis Guy, you know? [T]/[C] AfD? 12:01, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
WikibreakJust a quick note (which you'll hopefully read before you go on break) to say that from my point of view, you'll be much missed if you do go on a break, and I hope you'll return if you feel recharged. Cheers --Pak21 16:00, 24 January 2006 (UTC) Warhammer 40,000Hi, I have noticed that you are an active contributor to the articles regarding Warhammer 40,000. I am currently gauging support for a Warhammer 40,000 project. If you are interested, sign your name on the page. More details from my subpage. -Localzuk (talk) 18:10, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Starwars_Wraith_Logo.jpgThanks for uploading Image:Starwars_Wraith_Logo.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy). The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 22:00, 2 February 2006 (UTC) The Enslaver's ReplyOi, Saberwyn - The Enslaver here. Sorry to barge in here, but you asked me where I got all my 40K Imperial navy info from - well, I'm not really a Warhammer fan, but I once read the book Execution Hour by Gordon Rennie, and it told me a helluva lot about the ships of the Navy. It's pretty exciting, would make a decent movie - but only if it has a few more female characters. Not enough girls in that story. Warhammer 40,000 revertThe right thing to do. As I see it, the comment was POV ("Some people think") and therefore unless it is supported by a reference, it should go. Cheers --Pak21 09:39, 1 March 2006 (UTC) Imperial Armour updateThanks for the IA Update info; I'll move it into the "Other Books" section sometime soon. Does the book have an author listed which we could use as well? Cheers --Pak21 11:05, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
I've put this article up for deletion review, after re-writing a stub focused much more on his non-Survivor notability as a TV host, which was then speedy deleted as a recreation of deleted content. Since you commented on the initial AFD, I thought you might want to participate in the discussion here as well. -Colin Kimbrell 17:30, 5 March 2006 (UTC) Random questionI have a random question regarding Wikipedia, and since I saw your userID in the recent changes, I though I might ask you. I am curious as to what type of discussion is allowed in the talk pages for articles. Is opionated discussion/debate about the subject matter allowed, or does the discussion specifically need to pertain to the context of the article itself? Thanks for your help. Dunlevyd 09:28, 7 March 2006 (UTC) RE: Random answerThanks for the quick response. I'm simply curious becuase I have often been told using past anonymous accounts that my comments made in talk pages were unacceptable because they had nothing to do with the article, even though they were pertinent to the subject matter (for ex. I have discussed my views about abortion in the talk page for the abortion article). Thanks for your help. --Dunlevyd 09:39, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
referencingHey, i was just wondering, if referencing a comic such as bloodquest should the illustrator be included? Lowris 21:39, 12 March 2006 (UTC) Thanks - just wasnt sure what to do as I had done that originally and it was reverted to just the author, much appreciated Lowris 21:48, 12 March 2006 (UTC) Thank you for sepatating the people by type. I was waiting to see if anyone disagreed with my categorizations before splitting them up. Nekura 00:58, 14 March 2006 (UTC) GodsDo we want "Warhammer 40,000 Gods" or "Warhammer 40,000 gods"? Cheers --Pak21 09:40, 28 March 2006 (UTC) 40k articles for deletionDeep strike should definitely go – I'll try sending it through proposed deletion, but I suspect the original author (or their sockpuppet) will contest it, so it'll have to go through AfD instead. Nerve glove I tend to agree should go as well: there's no real point merging it into the Weapons and Equipment list as it's just far too small, and if we put that in, we run the risk of putting in every single piece of equipment mentioned in every Codex ever... while we're on the subject, what do you think should happen to Chaos Terminators? Cheers --Pak21 13:59, 28 March 2006 (UTC) Wikipedia surveyHi. I'm doing a survey of Wikipedia editors as part of a class research project. It's quick, anonymous, and the data will be made available to the Wikipedia community later this month. Would you like to take part? More info here. Thanks! Nonplus 23:59, 1 April 2006 (UTC) OopsWith the huge backlog of speedys I'm trying to deal with, I seem to have missed the AfD part, sorry. Normally I don't delete speedys which have an ongoing AfD discussion. Regards, Elf-friend 12:01, 3 April 2006 (UTC) CityRail PicturesThanks for your CityRail pictures - they are really helpful for the articles. If you can ever get Thornleigh and Normanhurst pictures (you seem to have covered the other stations in the area), that would be great. No pressure though - you're one of very few people who have contributed in this way, so that's great in itself. Lack of attention to detail on my part. No excuses. Thanks for the gentle reminder. Jinian 23:36, 14 April 2006 (UTC) Re:Ready to mobilise?I am going to make the templates and find red links and research them to make them articles. Tau rewriteGo for it. It's much better than the current one. And nice stuff on the proposed format as well. Cheers --Pak21 10:32, 26 April 2006 (UTC) Comments on Guidelines... Is that a compliment? I'll take that as a yes. Oh yeah, and don't mind me posting my guideline suggestions link on several Wikipedia articles... if these guidelines are ever put into use, they're going to change heck of a lot and I want as many as possible to pitch in and help (I don't like carrying on enourmous tasks myself, but I love starting, suggesting, and helping. E.g., I'm a Colonel, not a General :D) Colonel Marksman 21:53, 27 April 2006 (UTC) License tagging for Image:UFOlunaparksyd.JPGThanks for uploading Image:UFOlunaparksyd.JPG. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:07, 2 May 2006 (UTC) Luna Park Sydney ImagesI would like to know how best to tag the following images, after Orphanbot complained about the lack of copyright tags. I typed out the copyright information and fair use justification, as I was uncertain how to format it to conform with any of the current tags. Image:UFOlunaparksyd.JPG (the one OrphanBot compalined about), Image:Wildmouselunaparksyd.JPG, Image:Coneyinsidelunaparksyd.JPG, Image:Midwaylunaparksyd.JPG, Image:Maloneyslunaparksyd.JPG, Image:Rotorlunaparksyd.JPG and Image:Rotormidcyclelunapraksyd.JPG. The result of this discussion will likely also apply to Image:LunaParkSydney IB.jpg. Please reply on my talk page. -- Saberwyn 12:42, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
I figure I'll ask......did you do any research on the drinking games before just AfDing en masse? --badlydrawnjeff (WP:MEMES?) 13:11, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Ride articlesHeh, I'm not deliberately following you around honest ;) Thanks for your good work. --ericthefish 11:00, 9 May 2006 (UTC) CampaignsThere's no need to apologise, and I have no problem with any such moving of Campaign articles, as long as they are all moved in the same way. Grimhelm 06:31, 10 May 2006 (UTC) Going NutsUm, you really want someone to just grab a camera and fix this problem like a militant musslim trying to go to battle? (Referring to pictures for 40k articles) No sir. I demand the best quality only. Besides, I don't think it would hurt any of 'em to put in at least 1 picture from Games Workshop every so articles. We'll Miss You!Bye-bye Captain Flowers! I will always remember your buttery goodness! - Caboose from Red vs Blue Halo skits. Anyway, what happened to the Caidan planet re-write? You make it already? Colonel Marksman 17:20, 17 May 2006 (UTC) Land RaiderAbsolutely fine. I should probably try and read paragraphs a bit more... Cheers --Pak21 13:14, 22 May 2006 (UTC) Hornsby Station PhotoHi saberwyn, before you leave, would you be able to get a photo of the dock platform at the Asquith end of Hornsby station? Its going to be demolished on the Long Weekend (10-12 June) and it would be worth including for the article. Let me know if you can't do it. (JROBBO 06:25, 23 May 2006 (UTC))
Important before you goStill several days before you leave, but one important thing I see is a suggested merge wtih my guidelines and yours. BTW, did everyone just simply scorn my guidelines and pretend they're not there? Colonel Marksman 17:34, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Colonel Marksman 02:59, 24 May 2006 (UTC) Quick questionI was wondering - before you were at Normanhurst, did you ever go to Asquith boys? Just that I used to teach there! :)Johno 16:27, 30 May 2006 (UTC) Re: Your Ride Of Choice IS...Thank you, cool. I like this bit: "the 'Wheel of Death' if populated by male teenagers with saberwyn driving" ... except we were more like late twenties / early thirties, and worried parents were (quite sensibly) afraid to let their kids get anywhere near it when we were on it ;-) -- All the best, Nickj (t) 07:21, 31 May 2006 (UTC) Message you'll possibly becoming fed up with seeing soonHave fun in the States, and looking forward to having you back...
