It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

John Parrott

Hi Rodney, hope you are well and having a great holiday.

I've been doing a bit of work on John Parrott (eventually I'd like all of our World Champions to be GA status), but I haven't written an article from basically scratch for a while. Could I ask you to give me a hand with some of the formatting of the refs and maybe a cleanup of my prose when you have a few minutes (no rush, can happen whenever). I'm still working on the end of his career, but I've put some things together earlier in his career which I know can be written better.

Best wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 22:23, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Lee Vilenski: Of course, I'd be more than willing to help you with that after Christmas. I have absolutely no objections to you enlisting my help with any of the player bios you're working on, so feel free to ask any time! Very pleased with your Paul Hunter FA btw...
Have a merry Christmas!! Best wishes, Rodney Baggins (talk) 23:06, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Adding myself to the queue please! I finally got around to Joe Johnson (snooker player) again, and have (re)started on Alex Higgins. Hopefully the Johnson article doesn't need too much work now. Any thoughts on structure of the Higgins one would be welcome - I'll add some more clippings instead of offline sources. Merry Christmas! Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 12:16, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@BennyOnTheLoose: Have been meaning to reply, but a little thing called Christmas got in the way and I've just been dabbling with pending changes in my drunken stupor. I remember we were working on Joe Johnson back in Aug/Sept and it kind of got forgotten about. I'll revisit, do a bit of copyediting and give you some further comments/suggestions if you like. Then, I can do some work on John Parrot and Alex Higgins in parallel for you guys. I do want to do more wikipedia editing in the new year, despite the fact I'm having eyesight problems which I'm sure is exacerbated by too much screen time. Might go down the snooker club again tomorrow, while my son's home for the holidays. Speak soon. Rodney Baggins (talk) 19:11, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like fun! I got a new cue for Christmas, so I need some time to get to the club. Hopefully I only suck slightly less than usual. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 19:42, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
