Tagging articles & edit summariesHello, Robert, When you tag a page for deletion (CSD, PROD or AFD), please mention what you are doing in the edit summary. You also should notify the page creator that an article they have created has been nominated for deletion. If you use Twinkle, the program will do this for you automatically once you set up your Preferences which makes things easy. Also, it's best to archive your talk page when there are too many notices rather than blanking it. Just common practice here. If you have questions, please visit the Teahouse. Thank you! Liz Read! Restoring categoriesCan you explain why you are restoring the parent category [[Category:Films based on novels]] when there is a subcategory included in the article (e.g, [[Category:Films based on Japanese novels]])? They were removed with an edit summary explaining that they were redundant.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 00:26, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
Categories (continued)You archived my message before I could reply. When you ask me if I could point you to a discussion regarding the avoidance of redundancy in categories, Wikipedia:Categorization explains how categorization is supposed to work on Wikipedia. The point is to ensure that articles are categorized in a way that is most helpful to the reader. Including parent and top-level categories in articles isn't necessary. See Category:Films based on novels? The category is further split by location while still being part of the same category tree. Notice how many of the pages listed in the category are the ones you restored? The remainder are ones that could not be broken down into more specific categories (e.g the provenance of the novel is unknown). -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 00:17, 2 March 2021 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for May 12Hi. I share your enthusiasm about this actress; though she never had any starring roles, every film she was in would have suffered from her absence. Bruxton (talk) 01:27, 28 August 2022 (UTC) @Bruxton: Thanks for your suggestion. A plot section will follow first as soon as I find the time. Regards Robert Kerber (talk) 07:02, 28 August 2022 (UTC) Carmen’s Pure LoveI was surprised to see you reverted my small revision of the plot in your article about this film. First of all, I’m aware of and extremely grateful for all the work you’ve done on Wikipedia to make Japanese more understandable to an english speaking public. I see I’ve read many of your articles and always to my profit. For myself I don’t have your skills to create articles and can only add details here and there that may be useful:a famous actor or actress in a minor role missing from a cast listing, a lesser known but important film missing from a filmography… for your article in question I saw some language weaknesses I felt I could improve. I would appreciate it if you would look at the talk article I created there and see if on second thought you don’t agree with me. Guignolsan (talk) 21:10, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
Your recent proDHello, I'm about to deproD your recent prod of Arupusu monogatari Yasei as I think the article might be improved or, at worst, redirected to Hara's page or, in the future, to a page about Oizumi eiga (not yet existing). Also, I would like to point out that you forgot to inform the creator of the page of that proD. As for contradictions between the two sources currently on the page, I can't help because there's one I can't access at the moment. Best, -MY, OH MY! (mushy yank) 00:05, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
YoshiyaGood evening. I invite you to accept the discussion in the topic I opened. I have temporarily canceled my redaction return as a compromise so that nothing would stop us from discussing this issue. Solaire the knight (talk) 18:45, 24 July 2023 (UTC) Warning 24 july 2024If I see any more such threats to get me banned with a veiled link to the rules and my blog log, I will contact the admins about your communication style. Including an explicit refusal to discuss when I even compromised for you. Please bear this in mind. And do not even try to remove this section as an invitation to participate in the discussion above.
