Materialscientist (talk) 00:02, 12 August 2011 (UTC) Speedy deletion nomination of Avaya Auto Unit ReplacementA tag has been placed on Avaya Auto Unit Replacement, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason: Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. About the 1918 issue: While there are holes in B-R's minor league rosters, most of those are for 1870s and 1880s players. I can't prove this, but Stumpf was probably in the military for World War I. Many other players were out of baseball during that year. It's not a big deal; I just trust B-R on this one. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the community HERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you. Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Hostess CupCake. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Hostess Cupcake. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Hostess Cupcake - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page. If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Hghyux (talk) 01:41, 21 February 2012 (UTC) Disambiguation link notificationHi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your input request at RfCAs a previous contributor to the discussion, I wanted to let you know that a motion has been made to close the recent RfC and implement some of the ideas with regards to labeling and usage. Your inputs would be greatly appreciated at Wikipedia_talk:Copyrights#Wrapping_this_up. Buffs (talk) 01:55, 23 February 2012 (UTC) DYK for Minute by Minute (The Doobie Brothers song)

Merge discussion over the article List of Hot 100 number-one singles of the 2010s (U.S.)Dear Rlendog. I just wanted to let you know that a merge discussion is currently taking place regarding the content of this article (as you probably remember, you participated in an AfD held over this article in the past) and the content of the rest of the U.S. number-one by-decade series of articles. There are alternative approaches to demonstrating notability, for example the specific standard for academics, and there is also a specific standard for books. But as of now I don't see evidence of these being met. I would not move an article to mainspace under those circumstances, but as I said earlier, I don't think anything prevents you or anyone else from moving this page into mainspace. However, I am fairly certain the outcome of doing so will be that it will be speedily deleted, and likely salted to prevent continual recreation without meeting the guidelines. Rlendog (talk) 01:40, 10 March 2012 (UTC) Please express your opinion on this matter in the current discussion. Thank you.
