Well, the reason I deleted an in-line reference is that since the statement does mention the name of the researchers, and the statement can be fully verified by a study (whose researchers are the same as the statement says), the verifiability of the article won't decrease even if that in-line citation is deleted. re Moral Panic

here you deleted almost 9000 characters, but with an edit summary of "expanded japanese example", which doesn't seem to jibe with a deletion of so much material. Non-navigable entries on disambiguation pages

Hi. I see that you have re-added a non-navigable (red link) entry to the Yui disambiguation page in a recent edit here after I earlier removed it. Unfortunately, this creates a couple of problems. Firstly, you may want to familiarize yourself with the guidelines at WP:BRD. Basically, when you make a Bold edit and another editor Reverts it, the next step in the process is to Discuss the dispute on the Talk page, not to revert back, which you did here. That reversion is the first step towards edit warring, and is not a good way to proceed. Secondly, and more importantly, your edit to the Yui disambiguation page unfortunately does not comply with the Manual of Style, which stipulates that every disambiguation entry must include one (and only one) navigable blue link. Disambiguation pages are intended to assist navigation, and in that respect differ from regular articles, in which red links are generally encouraged. Please also have a look at Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts, which sums up the guidelines nicely. You will then need to either create an article for the mangaka in question (assuming she is sufficiently notable) or remove the entry from the disambiguation page until the article has been created at a later date. Oh! The reason why I re-added that speedy deletion template is that the name is explicitly incorrect. Articles that're at the wrong capitalisation should be moved to the right capitalisation. Redirects that're at the wrong capitalisation just send people to the right capitalisation. But an article at the wrong name shouldn't be deleted either, but moved. WilyD 13:47, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rekishi, thanks for your contributions to the Vital Articles Project! I would like to get your views on a few Taiwanese-related topics and your opinion on whether they are vital or not. I'd appreciate it if you can help me. :)

What do you think about Taiwanese aborigines and Kaohsiung? There are currently 25 ethnic groups in the Vital Articles Expanded - Ethnology section. I think it should grow to about 30 and Taiwanese aborigines would be a great addition as it is comparable to other major indigenous groups. Also Kaohsiung is the second most populous city in Taiwan and fairly significant for the country. It strikes me as more vital than some cities listed though I am not completely sure about it which is why I asked for your advice. Gizza (t)(c) 07:48, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Taiwanese aborigines should be listed, since some people argue that all native speakers of Formosan-languages originated from Taiwan, though now proven to be false. And Kaohsiung should be listed since it was the host city of the World Games 2009. I'm no longer surprised he isn't on the list, because this was one of the very first omissions I noticed when I first saw the list two years ago. While it's sad that's how long it's taken for someone else to bring this up, this too is no longer surprising, because of the immense amount of time we've wasted on proposals to add topics that are nowhere close to being vital. Over the last year you have become the one person most responsible for that: 你浪費我們的時間太多了。 You're aware of the quota system; you're aware that the list is only supposed to contain ten thousand articles; and yet you continue to suggest adding people as trivial as Bill James. If you want to see more people listed, propose raising the quota for that section and decreasing the quota of a different section. The fact I constantly have to read things you've copied and pasted without any comment as to how the proposal relates to anything else on the list is the single most unpleasant aspect of working on this project for me. If you continue to show no critical judgment whatsoever, I will start opposing each and every one of your proposals without reading them. I understand your stance. Next time I make a new proposal about VA/E, I would add some comment about how the proposal relates to anything else on the list. Well, the reason that I created that disambiguation page is because in French Wikipedia there are two articles about Jean Capelle, referring to different persons: a soccer player and a politician, and both of them are notable, just like I moved Wayne Coffey to Wayne Coffey (American football), then turned the redirect page into a disambiguation page. And the name Jean Capelle (football) is not inappropriate since the French Wikipedia also uses football (meaning association football in English) to disambiguated Jean Capelle.--RekishiEJ (talk) 13:00, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said - there is only one 'Jean Capelle' on English Wikipedia, and the correct location anyway would be Jean Capelle (footballer). About proposals to add articles about some military topics to WP:VA/E

I and Aeonx have proposed to add them to WP:VA/E, they are marines, amphibious warfare, airborne forces, paratrooper, ground warfare, special forces, special operations, hand-to-hand combat, Close quarters combat, Fire and Movement, Patrolling, Ambush, Blitzkrieg, and Charge (warfare). However, almost no other people support these proposals. Oh dear, you've now started the same thing on Joseph Aub. Please remember that all entries need a blue link which mentions them - in this case it has one, but you have twice removed it. By all means adjust the wording in the entry if it needs updating, but if it doesn't have a relevant blue link, it doesn't meet MOS:DABENTRY and it gives the reader nowhere to go. Thanks for your changes at Joseph Aub. Unfortunately, you've made the same error again at Dmitri Lebedev. We don't link to list of gunsmiths but to articles, not list pages, with info on the person. There is also no benefit from adding two red links. I would ask you one more time to either WP:WRITETHEARTICLEFIRST or remove it. I'm not prepared to edit war (especially not as this is now almost at WP:3RR) but this really is a waste of people's time and I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve - especially confusing as you don't write edit summaries, so I'm unclear if you're just not getting it or being pig-headed deliberately. Oh, I wanted to emphasize the fact that there is a Russian gunsmith called Dmitri Lebedev who developed PL-14, a handgun, so I reverted your edit and added list of Russian weaponry makers to inform readers about the figure. The list you're trying to count as your blue link doesn't discuss the subject at all, or suggest that they could have an article; it merely includes a bullet entry—that you added! That is not in any way sufficient coverage to justify listing this person on a dab page. As Boleyn has explained to you, if you think this person could be covered in a (referenced) article, then create that article—before you put his name back into any more lists or dab pages. Proposed deletion of Consortiumnews

The article is a recreation of this article which was merged into Robert Parry (journalist) a couple of years ago. Since then, the Parry article has increasingly been used as a WP:COATRACK for Consortium news (see article in between clean-ups here - talk page discussion can be found here). The author of the article has never entered into a dialogue about the content, and the article is dependent on WP:SELFSOURCE and a WP:BIASED source. Essentially, it remains a coat rack to create credibility for the organisation due to the calibre of articles it publishes (i.e., WP:POVPUSH). Per WP:INHERITORG, Robert Parry may be WP:N for an investigative journalistic piece in 1985, but that does not make Consortium news a notable news organisation.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

History of Ireland

On the contrary Rekishi, Carlwev added his support far too late. My close of the proposal was itself very late. I could have closed it as early as the 15th of December last year. It is User:Carlwev's responsibility to voice his support earlier on. And technially, User:Rreagan007's close was wrong too. If I archived the proposal at the time of the close there is no way that Carlwev could have supported it. But I'll follow WP:Assume Good Faith and WP:Ignore All Rules and let it go this instance. @RekishiEJ:, @J947:, RekisjiEJ, I do not mind when you sometimes correct my few spelling/typos errors in the text but please do not put notes like that in public place. You can do it on my own talk page but you should not do it on our project. It is no needed speciffically when you are talking about honestly quite trivial mistakes. I have noted that even native speakers currently sometimes do not put word "to" before verb (for example "(...) do you want (...)" instead "(...) do you want to (...)" at their comments and you do not correct/noted it despite fact it is still on the VA talk page. I do not think these ones are not any insulting mistakes. I always try prepare text in my sandbox long time until I put it in project's page but if you are going to give note for me, please put your comments on my talk page instead project's page. Thanks. Just wanted to clarify that I was adhering to the advice that, while not outright blacklisted, RT is among the news organizations that are advised to be treated carefully as sources on Wikipedia in virtue of being state-funded sources, such as China's Xinhua, North Korea's Korean Central News Agency, and others (and in fairness, that also includes Voice of America and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty for the United States), although such sources may be reliable for determining the official postitions of their sponsoring governments, plus the list of sources given in WP:RSPSOURCES specifically discourages it to be used about politics.
