Reliability of old sources for historical eventsHi regentspark, and I hope all is well! I'm somewhat curious why you removed two sources at Battle of Trichinopoly (1682) here with the comments
For Hanuman ChalisaWhy you delete my edit (adding Hanuman Chalisa in odia language). I just add a new local odia language Hanuman Chalisa in the page. Subhrajit Mohanty (talk) 05:08, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
I add the chalisa in odia, because the people who knows odia language, can read it in their language for better understanding of the chalisa in odia and also they can chant it in odia without any problem. Subhrajit Mohanty (talk) 14:12, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
Hanuman ChalisaHello RegentsPark, May I know why you have deleted my Citation for Hanuman Chalisa? And why you also issued a "Warning" for this? I just wanted to help community... Let me tell you, I've added Full Hanuman Chalisa Lyrics (English & Hindi both languages) reference, which is composed by Late Gulshan Kumar & Hariharan. And I've added Citation of Lyrics website for that. So, can you please tell me why it is considered as spammy? And if it is, please let me know the correct way for that. And yes, in my last contribution, I've added a New single song by Artist & linked it's Official YouTube Video link, and I've received warning & my edit was deleted by some wiki Robot (i think)! I just want to tell you, my intensions are pure. Thanks. Ajendra25 (talk) 22:38, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
Let me tell you, there was already a YouTube official link above my edit for the Akhil Sachdeva Singles song. And I've seen many YouTube links and other web citations used for reference. So why just only me? Not allowed to do so? I've checked some policies. Ajendra25 (talk) 14:33, 16 June 2020 (UTC) It's my humble request, please remove a warning generated by you, as I think it's not a spam. Ajendra25 (talk) 14:36, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

He is currently removing refs and reliably sourced content from articles related to the Khalji dynasty. For example, see these edits: [1], [2], [3], [4]. In his edit summary, he claimed that the source was "not credible" (?), although historian Vladimir Minorsky, who is cited, is in fact one of the most trusted academics on the subject. June, 2020Hello! You say Mahabharata is not reliable for Mahabharata's character. I wonder why? All secondary modern adaptions will tell you different stories. Most adaptions write rewrite the epic in their own way and also they created several fictional characters. For example Kavita Kane's Karna's wife is a fictional story. There are several books are like that. Aren't original sources most reliable? Ratan375 (talk) 05:26, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

Maybe it is difficult only for us Mobile viewers, but can it be solved? I failed to figure out if there is a template or something which is preventing to close subsections in that Article. Thankyou. Re: 'Minor' Edit articleHi regentspark! Appreciate your talk page notification about the specific criteria for 'minor' edit. I was mistaken in my initial assumption. Regarding the sourcing for the sentence I added on the Kamma article, it is already given in the content that follows after when the caste affiliation of the Nayak groups is mentioned explicitly in the sources. Added this sentence to act as a 'connector' to the rest of the content on the Vijayanagara part. By LovSLif (talk) 00:12, 25 June 2020 (UTC) AbhimanyuHello there. I've found it now but there is no way I can afford a copy and I doubt I'll be able to get it anywhere locally (we have virtually no libraries near me nowadays, so even interlibrary loan is a pain). Mughal Empire FlagThe flag with the sun and the lion was used by the Mughals. I verified it from following sources
The flag of the Mughal empire is a rectangular green triangular banner with a lion in front of a sun, both motifs being gold. It is surrounded by red.
The first two carry the lion with the sun behind it. Lion (or "Babur" in Persian, the lingua franca of the empire) was also the name of the founder of the Empire, Zaheer-ud Deen Muhammad Babur.
The Lion and Sun is an old Persian emblem that was re-used by the Mughals that identify strongly with Persian culture.
The Mughal Empire had a number of imperial flags and standards. The principal imperial standard of the Mughals displayed a lion and sun. The Mughals traced their use of this flag back to Timur [19]. About the historical Persian flags, it can help us the Encyclopaedia Iranica website [20]. Both the Sun and Golden Lion are symbols of kingship and royalty The principal imperial standard of the Mughals was known as the alam (Alam علم). It was primarily moss green.[1] It displayed a lion and sun (Shir-u-khurshid شیر و خورشید) facing the hoist of the flag. The Mughals traced their use of the alam back to Timur.[2] Fictional FlagWhat could have I done if somebody uploaded the flag image with that name. 500px
Got it I will restore it with the old flag

Your prejudice behavior to scientific evidence (Vandalism)Hi, Since you and some people (possibly) working in your team are removing the scientific evidence and heavily referenced sections of Surya Siddhanta. I came to your page and see how everyone has been blaming you to be prejudice and unscientific. I will give you a chance regardless to explain yourself. Wikipedia is a neutral source of Information. Do you disagree? Wikipedia is supposed to contain all point of views by several scholars. Do you disagree? My edits are heavily referenced. Scientific experimental work done by several researchers such as Nilesh Oak, Sudarshan Bhardwaj, Rupa Bhaty, ANila Narayanan have presented their experimental works and published them. You cannot remove a scholarly consensus on the dating of Surya Siddhanta which is purely experimental analysis and Empirical evidence published by several researchsers.
@RegentsPark - You removal of my edits are based on no references not refutals. You page is filled with wikipedians blaming you for prejudice and hate against ancient Indian Antiquity. Which you just showed by removing my edits based on NO scientific references. I had provided several references and consensus among several modern day researchers about the BC era dating of Surya Siddhanta. none your other editors who had been removing dating of Surya Siddhanta for a decade now have provided a response to my messages. Rather they were contacting each other to group up and delete the BC era dating sections and references.--RahulChawla1990 (talk) 02:22, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
Is Mohibul Hasan is the only valid historian about tipuIs Mohibul Hasan is the only valid historian about tipu sultan. Mahusha (talk) 14:25, 17 July 2020 (UTC) LovSLifAny thoughts on User_talk:LovSLif#Kamma? I see they had a few problems last year but I know from experience that people (including me) sometimes give up trying to deal with situations where someone is editing frantically on caste stuff and wonder if that may have happened in this case. - Sitush (talk) 09:45, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
Regarding removing my informationWhy my information is removed. Stating poor sources??? That were the official letters written by tipoo to zaman shah. Should we ignore that. I have given the reference of official documents and the letters of tipoo sultan. Sorry this is not at all clarified. The records of sringeri dharmasthan by ak shashtry is also not a valid reference. Only the reference given by Mohibul Hasan is valid?? Mohibul Hasan is not only the valid historian about tipu. The records of sringeri dharmasthan is the contemporary evidence about peshwas. Why you removed it?? Why it is needed to show this much secular to religious fanatic like tipu. I have given contemporary evidences you should not remove that. Gajanan Bhaskar Mehendale is a great historian you should read his book. He has done a good research about Tipu's tyrant policies. Mahusha (talk) 14:20, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
What's the problem with records of sringeri math by ak shashtryWhat is the problem with records of sringeri dharmasthan by ak shashtry. It is contemporary evidence. I have seen that who ever write against tipu in his article with contemporary evidences, it is removed. Is there any political mindset behind it to show tipu a hero. I tried to cite reliable references but you seem prejudiced and are hell-bent on undermining Indian history. Based on references that are as reliable as the references that were previously cited, the age of Varanasi is at least 1500-2000 BC https://www.business-standard.com/article/pti-stories/bhu-team-unearths-4000-yr-old-crafts-village-in-varanasi-120022300355_1. Also, the citations for Dwarka are not new original research. They have been published in peer-review journals over a decade ago. Here are the refs - Structure (rubble Wall) from 1500 BC (published in Marine Archaeology) - http://drs.nio.org/drs/bitstream/handle/2264/3085/J_Mar?sequence=2 Proof of active Indo-ROman trade in 400-500 AD (published in International journal of Nautical Archaeology - https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1095-9270.2005.00080.x If you were specifically saying that Dwarka and Dwarka port (Bet Dwarka) are different places then you should have listed Bet Dwarka (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bet_Dwarka) in the list. White washing of Islam and Scapegoating of HindusI've noticed a lot of wikipedia entries that denigrate Hindu culture and practices at the expense of whitewashing Islam. Whenever people talk about the caste system among south asian muslims, they act as if the phenomenon is a south asian problem rather than an islamic problem. This is totally nonsensical since even outside of South Asia, there exists an atrocious system of social stratification where Arabs discriminate against non-Arabs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Krao212 (talk • contribs) 16:43, 1 August 2020 (UTC) ThanksThanks-- Toddy1 (talk) 14:39, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
Need a help regarding article AllahabadHello Administrator! Hi. I would like to bring to your kind notice that a certain user named Kashmiri, has made edits to page Prayagraj that appears to be affecting the whole neutrality of the article. I do not intend to name any user in particular, I just need to bring to light some particular edits, done consequently one after one, that has changed some of the long standing status of the page. Firstly, the user removed the metropolis status off the page stating that it isn’t really a metropolis, without providing any reference to the edit made, while the Census commission states those cities which are in prominence, centred, administrative headquarters which have a population more than one million, are referred as Metropolis, and the population is already referenced. I have no intention to get involved in any conflicts with any user. I know and understand that he might have done that in good faith, I just would like you to only revert back the metropolis status of the page since the population of the city is exceeding one million, and it is a city of importance, I do not ask you or intend to add anything, I just want neutral data to be restored back. I even provided Government link for the city given on the Government Urban and Environmental Studies website about the stats of the city. Under Chapter 2, City profile, section 2.3.1 it clearly says ” Allahabad city comes under Allahabad metropolitan area along with Cantonment board and urban outgrowths. Population of metropolitan area is 12,16,719. Male constitutes 655,734 and female constitutes 560,985 of the total population.” http://mohua.gov.in/upload/uploadfiles/files/19UP_Allahabad_sfcp-min.pdf The user Kashmiri hasn’t participated in any talks on talk page, nor has provided any significant reference on why the edit that was long stable was suddenly removed from the page. Alongside, I also provided a media article link back in 2006 when Allahabad was mentioned along with 5 other cities in the states and given metropolitan status. https://m.timesofindia.com/city/lucknow/Six-cities-to-get-metropolitan-status/articleshow/2210886.cms We editors look up to you for everything. @Avanthika Pillai: Looking at your edits, you should probably read WP:V and WP:RS before editing anything else. The short summary is that Wikipedia is a "reliably sourced" encyclopedia. It is not enough that you know something to be true, you need to provide a reliable source for anything you add. For history related material, that usually means an academic peer reviewed source. So, when you want to add content, look for a source first. Also, you should sign your posts on talk pages.
