A cup of tea for you!
"Re: Hospital gown"Why is it that I cannot discuss the Robe to Wellness project on the Hospital Gowns page but the Cynthia Rowley project is allowed? I am not Toby Israel doing self-promotion. It is an actual and real project and is making a difference to the way hospital robes are conceived. People are really wearing these in hospitals and are part of the projects in their creation. I added more references that provide multiple sources to confirm that I am speaking factually. I think it is relevant to discuss new robes being designed to help women feel more comfortable and dignified during treatment. It's not just about fashion, it's about the psychology behind feeling comfortable and dignified in order to aid recovery.
Now I've edited it twice and it has been continued to be removed. I am not advertising the product, I am explaining the principle behind the robes. How am I supposed to explain the project without someone saying it's like an advertisement? I have not stated any personal opinions. I state what the robes are. I explain that they are a part of patient-centered care. I think it's difficult to argue that this is more promotional then that of Cynthia Rowley. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peopleswiki (talk • contribs) 23:09, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback. I would argue that it is relevant to the page because it is a type of hospital gown that has not otherwise been discussed. It is not like the mass produced cotton styled, tie at the back, nor is it a disposable gown. It is a different type of gown because it has a patient-centered design- by and for patients. That is different from what else has been described. I also cited WZBN News, who I'm sure are independent from the designer. I think if the two sentences I included on the Robes to Wellness are considered advertisement then so too is Cynthia Rowley and Tam Nguyen. However, I think all three designers have contributed to a diversity of hospital gowns and there shouldn't any reason why somebody researching hospital gowns should be closed off from knowing about this. July 2012 Study of authors of health-related Wikipedia pagesDear Author/RA0808 My name is Nuša Farič and I am a Health Psychology MSc student at the University College London (UCL). I am currently running a quantitative study entitled Who edits health-related Wikipedia pages and why? I am interested in the editorial experience of people who edit health-related Wikipedia pages. I am interested to learn more about the authors of health-related pages on Wikipedia and what motivations they have for doing so. I am currently contacting the authors of randomly selected articles and I noticed that someone at this address edited an article on Rectal Examination. I would like to ask you a few questions about you and your experience of editing the above mentioned article and or other health-related articles. If you would like more information about the project, please visit my user page (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Hydra_Rain) and if interested, please reply via my talk page or e-mail me on nusa.faric.11@ucl.ac.uk. Also, others interested in the study may contact me! If I do not hear back from you I will not contact this account again. Thank you very much in advance.
