Compromised account

Please disregard the previous message, my account has evidently been compromised. That is a really serious allegation to make and I'm shocked that someone would write that. I am perfectly fine and well, I've just chosen to stop editing Wikipedia following the incident yesterday, it's a choice I made because I haven't edited for about a year, came back briefly and now this has happened, so I just feel that it's best to stop for good now. The repercussions of such a message are so serious, I can assure you that I most certainly did not write that. I would never do anything like that. I would like my account to be blocked indefinitely please to protect it from further abuse or being compromised. I chose to retire from Wikipedia yesterday, as clearly shown by the retirement notices I put up. I assure you I would never take such action against myself. Hi, Puffin, I've blocked your account as requested, which is also per requirements for accounts that have been compromised. Just as a note for the record, this block does not reflect any problems with your editing or anything like that, as samtar surmised below. I've left autoblock and IP block disabled, so that you are free to create a new account or edit as an IP if you'd like to. You also still have talk page access, just in case (though we don't normally unblock accounts that have been compromised); I'll remove it if you'd prefer that, or if any further shenanigans occur. Thank you for your work; you're welcome to come back if you want, and good luck to you regardless of what you decide. Writ Keeper  12:17, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Response to your message

Hi Puffin, I'm glad to hear you are okay. Thank you for your message on my talk page, I can see that Writ Keeper has blocked the account - though I believe this is due to the compromise and not your enforced wikibreak request. You may wish to ping them here to discuss this. Please take the time to read about user account security. As a note, when we were made aware of the previous message, I reacted by informing the WMF emergency team - they are now aware of the account compromise so please don't worry about hearing from them. I hope this experience hasn't soured your opinion of Wikipedia too much, and in the future look forward to your return. Kindest regards -- samtar talk or stalk 12:14, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Come back soon - INVISIBLE-Talk! 12:33, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I hope your experience at AN/I hasn't been too sour. Hope you come back soon to continue to improve the Wiki. Mr rnddude (talk) 12:38, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank god you're okay! - Not gonna lie I've felt like shit since reading the ANI section so I'm glad your okay, Your edits and your CSD'ing are extremely appreciated although it may not of seemed like it yesterday but trust me they are, ANI can be a crappy place at times and the best thing to do is ignore it and do what you enjoy doing best which is editing, Anyway I'm glad you're okay and hope to see you around!, Happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 15:05, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Puffin. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:Pentacontakaitetragon.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
