You might remember me from Simple (Wikiproject Literature, remember?). :) I recently decided to try taking a look around the English Wikipedia again, and I'm enjoying myself so far. Thanks for giving me a good laugh with this reverting of vandalism, and for your great work at both here and Simple! Love, → Clementina [ Scribble ] 05:15, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Of course I remember you! Thanks for the smile! I haven't been around a lot recently due to RL obligations, so it's nice to know someone notices when I am! The vandalism - I get sick of reverting with "rv vandalism", so I tend to get creative with my summaries. I'm glad it made you laugh! And you've had some awesome nominations at MOTD (motto of the day)! I was really impressed! I'm mostly just good for voting on them. I think I've nominated one motto. Thanks again for the smile and I hope you continue to enjoy it here! PrincessofLlyrroyal court12:38, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
I am in the process of compiling an individual GAR. I apologize for any confusion over the early placement. I was indecisive about the reassessment after placing the notice and requested a second opinion from Protonk. The individual GAR should be posted in a few minutes. Again, I'm sorry for any confusion. PrincessofLlyrroyal court21:19, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
The article is certainly light on citations by current standards, so I understand why you've initiated this review. Let's hope that someone steps up to the plate. MalleusFatuorum22:08, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
The writing in this article is pretty dreadful, and it's nearly impossible to keep even basic historical facts consistent, as User John5Russell3Finley simply won't leave it alone, or allow anyone else to make corrections without starting a war, or claiming that he's in charge. (Please see his talk page for a constant stream of problems with this.) In my opinion, this is in no way a "Good Article" as it stands. I re-wrote a paragraph today (one that I have re-written at least three times before), and if it is allowed to stand, I will go back and work on the article some more, but I have little hope that my changes won't be reverted quickly. This was an important episode in American history, and it would be nice to see an article that is well-written, factual, and interesting.--TEHodson01:09, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
I don't really plan to discuss possession of the article - that's not my concern. Currently, no, it is not a good article, but I'm going to give time to work on it and pretty much see if anyone can improve stuff, not just delist it. I have a great deal of interest in the article being good. The reason I was reading it was for some basic research (you can guess how far that got) and I'm sure this is a much-read article for students. PrincessofLlyrroyal court02:02, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
I, too, have a great deal of interest in this article being good: it's part of my family's history, as well as America's history. I'm sure students read this often, and the article should be better. My reason for bringing up issues of what you've refered to as "possession of the article" is that this issue has been a reason for its not being successfully improved (though many have tried). If the small edit of the single paragraph I worked on is allowed to stand, I will come back and work some more. I have some books written and published by the Salem Historical Society which I think will be useful, but I have been too discouraged by the events of the past to come back to the page. --TEHodson22:06, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
It can be difficult here on wikipedia to edit in the face of "what everyone knows", but these trials are an important part of American history, and they deserve the best that can be done for them. I've helped write a few witch trial articles, both English and American, so if you feel you need help just give me a shout. I don't have any sources on the Salem trials though, that would be down to you. MalleusFatuorum22:48, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
Personally, I think that the article needs lots and lots of work. I had nothing to do with writing it. I have added less than a dozen sentances to it since I began monitoring it. I agree with what Mr. Wales said in Tima Magazine that this place is a buch of nuts mostly arguing with each other. John5Russell3Finley (talk) 14:49, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for rv on my userpage
Hi PrincessofLlyr, thanks for your quick response to vandalism on my page (a vandal I reverted, and who is now blocked, stopped by to hit me directly). You got "him" within a minute!
You're most welcome! The vandals were really active last night, including several very persistent ones. Thanks for the offer of help! I'll definitely remember that. PrincessofLlyrroyal court13:14, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
Userpage design
Hi there. You indicated that you wanted your userpage to be redesigned. Do you still want it done? I would be happy to do so, but I charge a fee for my services:
25 constructive mainspace edits. This means adding verifiably sourced content, not just spelling fixes, vandal reverts, that sort of thing.
or
15new pages patrolled. See here for quick instructions on how to get started. The most important thing is to start at the back of the log, with the oldest pages.
If you would like me to design a userpage for you, please do one of the above, and leave a message on my talkpage with the relevant diffs (or a link to your patrol log), as well as any notes about colours or whatnot. → ROUX₪23:48, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)I've added the scrolling function; see the diff for what the code is and tweak to your preferences. Which subpage would you like to delete? For future reference, add {{db-u1}} to it and it will be listed at CAT:SD for an admin to take care of. Airplaneman ✈19:43, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Unfortunately, I think I have to decline. For one, I have a lot on my plate right now, both IRL and here. And also, I'm not really all that interested in SWT, just making sure that our articles are properly assessed and maintained. But thank you for the invite. I really wish I could help. PrincessofLlyrroyal court19:53, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Sure! I should warn you that I have not been as active recently because of real life obligations. But I'm normally on at least once a day, and my talk page stalkers are always around, as you can see above. Let me know if you're still interested! PrincessofLlyrroyal court19:51, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
I am still interested...I don't have a lot of questions, but occasionally I run into something I can't figure out by myself, which is why I was interested in the adoption program. I'm only on usually on the weekends, so if I had any questions, I could ask them then and get a response the next weekend, if necessary. Thank you, SabrinaMagerstalk03:42, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Alright then, consider yourself adopted! I'll change the templates and such, then look over your contributions and leave a note on your talk page about what you're doing correctly, what can improve, etc. As I mentioned and Sevenseas said, you are also likely to come across my talk page stalkers. They are quite useful and offer their help and opinions when I'm not around. And every once in awhile they let me do some of the work! Ones you might see include Airplaneman, Brambleclawx, Hi878, and any of my other adoptees (and sevenseas, of course!). If you have any questions, just ask away! I do suggest that you watchlist this page if you haven't already. I can continue dropping talkback templates on your page if you prefer. Just let me know! PrincessofLlyrroyal court13:11, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Hi there PrincessofLlyr/2010! You may be wondering, what have I done to sound the alarm this time? Nothing. I'm messaging you in regards to the adopt-a-user program, which currently has a backlog of users wishing to be adopted. This doesn't make much sense, as we have a considerable list of users offer adoption, so there shouldn't be any backlog. I've begun to eliminate this backlog myself through a matching program, but I need your help to make it work. Of course, adoptees and adopters don't have to go through there, but I believe it helps eliminate the backlog because someone is actively matching pairs.
On the list of adopters, I have modified the middle column to say "Interests." It's easier working with other users that have similar interests, so if it's not too much to ask, could you add your interests in the middle column? For example, if I was interested in hurricanes, computers, business, and ... reptiles? I would place those in the middle column. Counter-vandalism and the like can also be included (maintenance should be used as the general term). The more interests, the better, since adoptees can learn more about you and choose the one they feel most comfortable working with. The information about when you're most active and other stuff can go into the "Notes" section to the right.
Finally, I've gone around and asked adoptees (and will in the future) to fill in a short survey so adopters can take the initiative and contact users they feel comfortable working with. We all know that most adoptees just place the adopt me template on their user page and leave it - so it's up to us to approach them and offer adoption. So, please take a look at the survey, adopt those that fit your interests, and maybe watchlist it so you can see the interests of adoptees and adopt one that fits your interests in the future.
Once again, thank you for participating in the adopt-a-user program! If you wish to respond to this post, please message me on my talk page.
Yeah, you're just lucky I was creating a motto! That's only the second motto I've ever created and that includes regular MOTD ones. Still, I'm sorry I messed up the archives. PrincessofLlyrroyal court17:20, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the notice - I'd actually seen it and was still mulling over my opinion. I'll post something in the next day or two. My first thought is, "Sure. Why not?", but I want to take some time and look over some of the info about it.
Thanks. It was certainly an adventure! wait, you stalk me? :O
This is basically "hosting" a class- I don't see it as overly burdensome, and such projects have happened before, though never with this sort of support. From Jentuser's description, this is a relatively small-scale project that will bring a bit of specialized knowledge into articles. They know about the subject, we know about editing, together we all win :) sonia♫06:11, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
Of course I stalk you! You have very interesting conversations on your page!
Thanks! We are working on expanding Celebration of Mexican political anniversaries in 2010 right now and students are handing in proposals for their partial projects tomorrow. Your adoptee should be asking you for guidance on either/both. I will put a list of articles students will be writing or rewriting early next week. Part of their WP work is to work with Wikipedians from outside the class.Thelmadatter (talk) 19:18, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Hey, it's Sabrina. How do I get to my Monobook page to add RC scripts? I have the script, just unsure how to get to the page to add them. I've done it before...I just don't remember. T__T SabrinaMagerstalk19:18, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Looks like my helpful tps covered it. Which is probably good, because when I first read the question I thought you were asking about how to add it, not just directions to your monobook! PrincessofLlyrroyal court20:03, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
how to post
Hi PrincessofLlyr,
Here is my page that I have created for Carlos. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ldelcasale/Carlos_Barbosa-Lima
My main question is how does it go from where it is now to a published entry for anyone to hit?
Please help.
I'll be checking in at least daily.
With much appreciation Larry
To publish it, you would click this link and copy in the content you have. Would it be okay for me to change a few important formatting things on your rough-draft before you do? Like Brambleclawx mentioned and I was going to note, I would suggest adding some references backed up by reliable sources before publishing. PrincessofLlyrroyal court20:01, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Move is usually better to preserve the history, which is important if more than one person edits it. Or else I'll have to perform a WP:HISTMERGE; a simple one involves:
Uh oh. Yeah, actually I would. Thanks for catching that. I hadn't thought about it and I never actually move from userspace to articlespace. Oh dear.
Larry, I take that back. As BCx so kindly pointed out, there is the much simpler "move" function. If you see the "move" button (probably near the top of the page) another page should come up asking where you want to move it. Enter "Carlos Barbosa-Lima" (no quotation marks) and a reason for the move. The page should be pretty self-explanatory. That will move the page and its history to the new title. (See Help:Moving a page for more info.) PrincessofLlyrroyal court20:12, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Yea, they usually aren't; they're just tedious (especially the more complicated ones). I imagine they'd be tedious to reverse as well. Break given ;) Airplaneman ✈21:08, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Yes, but whacking vandals requires violence, patience, and time! And you learn stuff: for instance, did you know that it's being rumored that Eyedea (a person I'd never heard of) supposedly died today? PrincessofLlyrroyal court22:16, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I saw that. It seems practical, although everything will have to be renamed. But given the (growing) size of Riordan's universe, a Camp Half-Blood TF probably would be more accurate. PrincessofLlyrroyal court03:37, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Wow!! Did I open a can of worms?? Ok, I know I need references. I'll have to read up on that. Should I get back to you after I do that? Probably, I'm sure I'll have a question on references. Thank you all so much!!

Please feel free PrincessofLlyr or friends to make those edits you wanted to do. That's why I asked for your help. Really appreciate it. ˜˜˜˜Larry Del Casale —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ldelcasale (talk • contribs) 03:15, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
Can of worms are fine - it's all friendly here! You can get back with me when you've added about as many refs as you expect to, just so I'll know you're done. I will probably be working on the formatting, so if I see something that doesn't look quite right I'll let you know. Just for a hint, when posting on talk pages, you should type four tildes (~~~~) after your comment. This will automatically produce your signature, the date, and time. It's just makes it easier to follow a conversation. PrincessofLlyrroyal court13:09, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
my talk page stalkers assist anyone asking for help.
my adoptees continue to post with the realisation that probably someone else (read "tps") will respond and not me.
those who are posting updates and/or requests for my opinion expect a non-swift reply.
I'm attempting to limit myself to one watchlist check a week, but will probably be on more often that. Chances are I will see anything you post here, even if I haven't edited in a few days. PrincessofLlyrroyal court18:37, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
