Phoroptor editsHello Prashanthns, I'm not a wikki expert, so please have patience with me. I noticed you undid some recent edits I made to the Phoroptor (Phoropter) page. I am the Marketing Manager for Reichert, inc and we own the IP on Phoroptor. I have documentation to prove that we own a registered trademark on the name, shape, and configuration of this instrument. The term "phoropter" (with an "er" at the end) has found it's way into the vernacular, but it is not a legitimate term. This is a significant issue for our company (like Kleenex and Xerox) and we want to protect our IP. I would like to incorporate these changes again. Any advice you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks Mosfet32 (talk) 14:44, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick reply. We own both the word Phoroptor and the shape and configuration of the instrument itself. The word "Phoropter" is a mis-spelling of phoroptor, but it has become accepted over the years and appears in many places, even medical dictionaries, as you have pointed out. It looks like I have some research to do before I edit the post further! All the best63.122.109.234 (talk) 15:37, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

The peer review recommends a longer lead, you have put a lead too long tag, please reconsider. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 07:50, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
I feel that the lead in the present form is not a very good summary of the article. I will try and improve it myself soon. If you disagree, please dont hesitate to remove the tag. Even I am sometimes uncomfortable with tags remaining for too long. On the contrary, if you feel that the tag remaining for a few days will encourage some other editor to work on the lead, then we could leave it for a month or two and see. prashanthns (talk) 07:59, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

MeegsC | Talk 15:59, 8 April 2009 (UTC) Orphaned non-free image (Image:Karunatrust.jpg)Thanks for uploading Image:Karunatrust.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 22:17, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
