PowickYour reversal of my edit was somewhat proprietorial of you. In my opinion, which is as good as yours, the changes I made were constructive, especially as I intended to link to the section from another article. On what grounds do you consider my amendment unconstuctive??? I added to the section without taking anything away. In all my years in editing Wikipedia I have never reversed any well-intentioned amendment by another contributor, even when I didn't consider it an improvement myselfPlucas58 (talk) 19:54, 13 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:58, 8 April 2014 (UTC) (afterwards Something of Somewhere, 1999)Hi. On the archdeacon pages I had generally avoided listing subsequent posts when an article exists (because posts will be listed there.) What do you think? (Also, I omit dates from posts held immediately "afterwards" and use "later..., 1999" for posts after a gap.) DBD 20:52, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
Adding or not adding the date when the succeeding post immediately follows is a matter of individual style which I would find difficult to debate. But from my point of view both issues are now academic as the bishop/dean/archdeacon lists are now more or less complete (except for Ipswich archdeacons about which there seems to be very little info available). I only dabbled in the subject of Archdeacons last weekend as a break from a very big and exhausting project to document the UK's listed buildings to which I have now returned. But I was able to plug a few gaps in the Archdeacon lists however.Plucas58 (talk) 11:20, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

The reference to Brian "Stainless Knight" is attributed to the poem by Walter Raleigh, however, I have yet to find the poem. The closest I can find a reference to that knight is in the Marmion by Walter Scott. Is there such a poem by Walter Raleigh? If so, where might it be found? If such a poem does not exist, do you recall where you found the citation? I am finding that this reference is being qouted verbatim in geneaology and other forums without attribution. Thanks!--Amschaal (talk) 01:46, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

I have automatically detected that your edit to Grade II* listed buildings in South Hams may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
