Accept reason: Checkuser evidence can't be used to clear an editor, of course, and I cannot rule out that the person behind this account is also behind PeopleAreSuss. However, the technical evidence shows it to be unlikely-to-possible, rather than anything stronger. There's specific technical evidence that makes me lean toward unlikely, in this case. On that basis, I have lifted the autoblock. Yamla (talk) 18:56, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So I was banned for 2 years, then I got a free pass for 2 days, but then I now I am getting banned again. Talk about being unlucky!
You were banned for two years? Were you using another account? If so please say which one ... I normally have no problems lifting an autoblock for someone with as much editing history as you, but yours is sort of strange: account creation, then two years of inactivity followed by an almost manic single-day burst in which you change your name, propose a new barnstar, shower some other users with Wikilove, and do a little editing that coincidentally includes one edit to sockpuppet, then get caught in an autoblock applied to an account that was created and blocked indef in the time between two of your edits, an autoblock that you now seem able to circumvent despite no change to PeopleAreSuss's block (so, I assume you have used a different computer, or have set yourself up with a proxy somehow or something like that). You also seem to believe your IP address (which, of course, I don't know) was hacked (although as noted it could be a dynamic IP (in which case you really don't need to have the autoblock lifted)).
Can you see that I might think there's more here than meets the eye? Do you have anything to say by way of explanation that might be helpful here before I consider some further action? Daniel Case (talk) 18:23, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Either I am overreacting or I am not, only time can tell.
Response
1. No, I wasn't using a different account when I was banned. You can see the oldest contribution I ever had.
OK, but why are you saying you were banned? There's no record of this account ever having been directly blocked. Did you attempt to edit during that period and get some message saying you couldn't? If so, do you remember what it said? Daniel Case (talk) 03:10, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
2. The block, (for some reason) keeps coming back at a random time, such as when I was trying to edit the sandbox.
Dynamic IP, as noted ... your ISP is shifting your IP address around among a pool of IPs so it can deliver service more efficiently. Occasionally it's assigning you the IP underlying PeopleAreSuss's account when he was blocked. Daniel Case (talk)

Thank you for the typo correction and turning me on to the concept of conlangs, however obscure!
Hello Pink Saffron,
I do appreciate the kind editing of my ramble and correcting my typos. I was especially pleased to learn about the field of conlangs...

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
Hi Pink Saffron, I haven't addressed the problems you highlighted at the GOCE Requests page, which are outside the scope of copy-editing. These are content issues and should be dealt with by editors who are prepared to research, check cited sources and add or remove text accordingly. I also note your account hasn't edited the article, which kind-of makes your c/e request pointless but I've done the c/e all the same so you can sleep safely tonight. Cheers, Baffle☿gab06:02, 9 January 2022 (UTC).[reply]
Thank you for editing the article even if my CE request was more-so invalid, that's a huge thing called dedication and I can't thank you enough for that. --Pink Saffron (talk) 08:03, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No worries; at least the article got improved. I'm sorry for my tone earlier today, it was rude but I was tired and grumpy, and I should have just logged off. :( Good luck with the article. Cheers, Baffle☿gab20:15, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
