I never saw the original MurmurHash page, but I'm rather surprised that MurmurHash was deleted based on its AfD [1] which seemed rather inconclusive to me. On the other hand, based on google, I do think its use is less widespread than FNV: the google scholar searches seemed particularly convincing to me. My personal take would be that Wikipedia would probably be better off with a short page about Murmurhash, but I don't feel nearly so strongly about MurmurHash as I felt about FNV. I've never participated in deletion review but I don't think I, personally, would find it worth the effort. Your mileage may vary, of course. Happy editing!Gruntler (talk) 08:17, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
