Al Wistert GA
Al Wistert, which is an article you started has now gotten to good article status. Thanks for getting us off to such a good start. Much of what you did to build the article's foundation remains a part of the article. Feel free to come by and either edit or make comments. You may want to post this somewhere:
Yea I'm surprise that he knows how to use Wiki but it also shows why he is stuburn and him not using edit summaries or reply back. --Phbasketball6 (talk) 19:19, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Done, but you have to type the letter in the infobox as you can see for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. If you want to to switch some infoboxes with you I'll be more then glad to help. Feel free to ask any more questions too. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 02:42, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Can you please add the fields "statweek" and "statseason" to the infoboxes you've added stats too? Without them, there's no new section title, it just blends in with the awards.►Chris NelsonHolla!01:31, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Look at your edit on Brett Favre (the stats section of the infobox), then look at the most recent version. Notice the "statweek" and "statseason" fields I added. Those fields created the colored bar (which begins "selected NFL statistics..."►Chris NelsonHolla!02:10, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Ohh..., O.K. I didn't see that before but I glad that I know that there is something like that, yes I will use that for now on thank you for letting me know. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 02:38, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Several wrestling news sites report that former Total Nonstop Action Wrestling stars Ron Killings and Chris Harris have been in talks with WWE. In addition The Big Show is said to be returning as well. Be on the look out for unsourced claims of these signing being added to their respective articles as well as the WWE Roster article.
The focus on improving Stub-class articles is continuing to pay off, as the number of stubs has reduced from 717 to 706 over the past two weeks. The goal for this week is to get it down to 700, so please check out the stub article subpage to see what you can help with.

Creation of All-Pro Team articles
I wanted to know if you wanted to help me create All-Pro Team articles using pro-football-reference.com, so that we can have links in the infoboxes. I already created the 1979 All-Pro Team article. I also wanted to know if you think the way I did it was good or if there was another way you could think of without using the Tables--Yankees1022:52, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Ok, thank you for sharing with me, I was eager to know how you guys know this, I have reverted Matt Lepsis infobox back to active. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 16:47, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Sweet deal, thanks; I also like that your stating into the player article who announced their retired but didn't file the paperwork. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 17:00, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Yeah I mean technically they are no more retired than anyone else, but most people don't know that so hopefully that will stop people from making edits until he does.►Chris NelsonHolla!17:02, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
on the All-Pro team pages do you think we should combine the left and right cornerbacks and also combine the linebackers instead of seperating them--Yankees1023:18, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
I think that the cornerbacks should be together but I think we should leave the outside linebackers and middle linebackers separated. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 23:20, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
yeah not so much about the linebackers, but im confused about wich goes to which, does LLB go to outside or inside, and what about RLB and MLB--Yankees1023:25, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
LLB and RLB are outside linebackers for 4-3 defenses and ROLB and LOLB are outside linebackers for 3-4 defenses, which overall are outside linebackers
For inside RILB, LILB, and MLB are middle linebackers, MLB is for 4-3 defenses, and LILB and RILB are Middle linebackers for 3-4 defenses. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 23:29, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Ron Killings and The Big Show are still being reported as to having signed WWE contracts. As there is no reliable source for anything of the sort, be prepared for their names to be continually added to the WWE Roster article and information about their returns being added to their own articles. There is also apparently an audio interview with Killings where he states he will be returning to WWE with his old K-Kwik gimmick.
Bobby Lashley is being reported to have been released by WWE. His profile has been removed from WWE.com. But again, there is no reliable source for his release, so be prepared to revert his removal from the roster article and edits to his own article.
*The number of stub articles increased this week, but a large jump in the number of total articles means that the percentage of stub articles still dropped from 21.63% to 21.51%. Please check out the stub article subpage to see what you can help with (even if you can only add a reference or two).

I did it, I made a infobox, can you check Ernest Dye to see if I did it right, I just want to thank you for all your help with the infobox. I was also wondering if you could help me make the infoboxes so i can make some of the articles quicker--Star QB (talk) 19:42, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

I think we should have the links because most of the articles already have them and it would be a pain to go to them and change them, yeah go ahead and change Eagle Days, thanks--Yankees1002:25, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
At the WP:NFL discussion page, linked years in infoboxed were voted against. It just seems pointless to have "1992-2007" and have only those two years linked when all the others in between are not. Personally, I remove these links whenever I see them.►Chris NelsonHolla!03:04, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
the reason I think the links should be there because they are already in the infobox in the years played section. So what is the differnence between having them there and in the years.--Yankees1003:32, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

I don't know I'm guessing I'm going to leave them off judging from what Chris Nelson said earlier, but if it gets over ruled then I'll gladly add them. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 22:59, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
I was going to ask you know but didn't because I though you would be busy with free agency. But anyway, I'm not sure what stats should show for running backs, should every running have their receiving stats or only people like L.T., Westbrook, Edge, and others? Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 03:27, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
I would say it should be done on a case-by-case basis. For a Ron Dayne-type, probably not worth it. But for the guys you mentioned, or someone like Lorenzo Booker (he had as many catches as he had carries in 2007) I'd say it's definitely worthy.►Chris NelsonHolla!03:29, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
I know I am being a total pain in the ass about such a little subject, but for some reason this is bothering me. I tried bringing it to WP:NFL, but only one person responded and he didnt care either way, heres my view on it I say there is no reason to not have them because the only user that seems to be against them is Chrisjnelson (and probably Pats1). Because all the people that voted against having them before obviousley dont care because they dont remove them.--Yankees1015:15, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Your not a pain in the ass, and I think its important to decide this earlier then later, but I'm nuetral on this topic, sry --Phbasketball6 (talk) 20:09, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
I wish people would respond, this problem is getting annoying, for some reason there not, I am probably just going to keep adding the links anyway--Yankees1023:32, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

You dont have to listen to this advice, but I think we should hold off changing infoboxes for a while because at the discussion about the links at WP:NFL, three people are in favor for the links and one is in favor of not having them--Yankees1017:33, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
alright thats fine, Im most likely going to go around and add the links to all the infoboxes that dont have them anyway, since it looks like it will be decided to have the links --Yankees1018:09, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Jeff Hardy was suspended by WWE for 60 days on March 11 for violating WWE's Substance Abuse and Drug Policy. On March 14, he lost his home in, Cameron, North Carolina, late friday night due to a fire. Fire Department officials currently cannot confirm what was the cause of the fire. Reports also say that Jeff's brother, Matt Hardy, saw smoke coming out of Jeff's house. RAWCommentator, Jim Ross, reports on his blog, "He lost essentially every thing he had and most sadly his dog".

Welcome to the Green Bay Packers WikiProject. As you should know, we are a group dedicated to making the Green bay Packers not only the best team in the NFL, but also the best covered on Wikipedia. This is a great way to show your support for America's best small-town team. Right now, we are working on creating a solid base for the WikiProject, so that we will be able to easily coordinate our efforts to succeed in our main goal, expand the articles! Nothing is set in stone, and all users are on an equal footing, so comments, suggestions, concerns, and being BOLD is welcome! Please come take a look at the project page, and become part of our community. If you feel you can help out in coordinating certain parts of the project, or have some new ideas, please let us know!
The Green Bay Packers Wikiproject has three specific collaboration efforts, and one open collaboration effort:
Nominated Collaborations- As with most WikiProjects, we have an area for members to nominate articles that need attention.
Featured and Good Content Collaboration- The Project also has a specific area for members to receive help with building an article up to GA-Class, FA-Class, or FL-Class. Every B-Class article within the scope of the project has been identified as a candidate for the area of collaboration. Nominations of new articles or of lower-class articles are also welcome in this area.
Stub Collaboration- One major key to this Project is to make sure that no top-importance and ultimately high-importance article is a stub. This area of collaboration is for members to work on de-stubbing important articles within the project's scope. As with the other collaboration efforts, this area is open to member nominations.
Special Collaboration- This last area is for special collaboration efforts. This area will not always be in use, but is usually used for collaboration efforts that focus on adding certain aspects to every page. Currently, the special collaboration is focused on adding an appropriate Infobox to every article that requires one. Hopefully, we will be able to get the services of a bot to automatically search our categories and create a list here, which will allow members to add the appropriate infobox to each article.
Currently, the project will employ the work of a bot, SatyrBot, to help the project tag new article with our project banner. Every two weeks, the bot will search every article in each Green Bay Packers category, and any article found to be in the category without a project tag will be listed here. Any article on this page should be tagged with our banner, making sure to assess the article by class and importance.
A worklist showing each article under the project's scope by class and importance can be found here, with a log of changes of assessments found here, and the project's statistics can be found here.
Please invite new members by either using a personal message, or {{InvitePackersProject}}. If new members join, please welcome them with {{WelcomePackersProject}} while also giving them a personal welcome.
To stop receiving this newsletter, or to receive it in a different format, please let us know here. If you have any news or any announcements to be broadcast, do let us know.

At WrestleMania XXIV, Shawn Michaels defeated Ric Flair after executing the Sweet Chin Music, which as a result, meant that Ric Flair was forced to retire from professional wrestling. The next night, at Flair's retirement ceremony on Raw, Triple H congratulated Flair for his 35 year career, and brought out retired and current superstars to thank him. Michaels, and the whole WWE roster came out later to thank him as well.
The Undertaker defeated Edge to become the new World Heavyweight Champion forcing him to submit to the Gogoplata. During the pyro celebration for Undertaker's 16-0 streak, a freak accident occurred just before WrestleMania went off-air. During the pryo shooting to the entrance stage, a firework went to the upper-level section of the crowd on top. Forty-five fans were injured, and currently, WWE is trying to investigate what was the cause of the pyrotechnic malfunction

We should get this back up to Good Article status; it was at one point, but has since been removed. The article was recently protected from annonomous users, which should help us some. Oakland Raiders is currently a good article, we can use it for reference. I have started a draft in my sandbox. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to help in any way you can, there is a to do list at the bottom of the page. Any suggestions would be welcome, I have no doubt that if we work together we can accomplish this fairly quickly. Blackngold29 (talk) 18:58, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

New multi-link stats template for external links sections
Since you edit NFL player articles, I wanted to point out a template I've made to add multiple links to a football player's External links section. The info is located here. I'm planning on adding this to future pages I edit and I think it'd be great if we all do the same, as it'd cut down on the space in the ELs section spent on various site links. Thanks.►Chris NelsonHolla!07:13, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Collaboration of the Month
Magic Johnson has been chosen to be our very first Collaboration of the Month article. Although this is article is already a Good Article, it still can be improved. The goal is to improve this article by the end of May so that it can be nominated for Featured Article status. In particular, free-use images should be found for the article, all Manual of Style guidelines should be followed, and a neutral point of view should be maintained throughout the article. If there is anything you can do to improve the article, then please help out.
The number of stub articles has decreased to its lowest level since the project began its focus on improving them. The goal is to get the number below 600, and we're getting close. This Month in NBA History..
June 6, 1946 – In the Commodore Hotel of New York, the NBA is officially formed as the Basketball Association of America. Maurice Podoloff is named the first commissioner of the league.
Last month's Collaboration of the Month, Magic Johnson was a great success. A total of 560 edits were made to the article during the month of May, and the article was eventually nominated as a Featured Article Candidate. Although the article was not promoted, it was significantly improved through the work of many editors.
This month's Collaboration of the Month is Steve Nash. Although this is article is already a Good Article, it still can be improved. In particular, all prose should conform to Featured Article standards, all statements should be verified, and the text should be in a neutral point of view. If there is anything you can do to improve the article, then please help out.
Collaborator of the Month
The Collaborator of the Month is given to the editor with the most number of substantial, beneficial edits to the article chosen as the Collaboration of the Month.
This month's Collaborator of the Month award goes to Chensiyuan (talk·contribs). Although he had previously helped Magic Johnson to became a Good article, he made literally hundreds of edits during the month of May. For his contributions, he is rewarded with the NBA Collaborator of the Month Award.

From the Editors
Baseball has a history unlike any other sport. It has been played in countless countries throughout the decades, and it will undoubtedly continue play for many more. On this eve, some the finest players the sport has to offer will take the field at the Yankee Stadium. Four popes spoke there, Pelé scored goals there, "The Greatest [football] Game Ever Played" was battled out there, John Philip Sousa lead a band there, George Costanza worked there; but what do all these events have in common? They fail to reach the level of greatness that the baseball that was played there did.
In 1923, a man named Babe Ruth decided to build a new house, and over the years, that house was a home to some of the greatest baseball ever played. If I were to list out all of these great moments, it would be longer than the bill for the New Yankee Stadium. So I'll sum it up by saying that we can remember these great moments by adding them to this place we've gathered at for future generations to read about, to learn about, to dream about; but more importantly we can watch tonight and we can remember how baseball is unlike anything else that we will encounter in our lives. — Blackngold29
