Do you know how to make changes to the appearance of such types of pages? I want to get teh artistically talented together to improve the site's imagery and also change up the skin and such. I'm not awesome when it comes to these things. The last set of forums I had, someone else took care of the behind the scenes stuff. Anyway, let me know if you can help. Regards, Lara❤Love05:43, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lara - I'll have a look at the source today and see how it's done. At first glance it's .php which I understand precious little about (bring on HTML and JavaScript for me!) but leave it with me for a mo. Pedro : Chat 07:48, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lara, finally had a chance to look at it last night. It's a hunch but I reckon it's built with a site builder tool - you probably know the type - where you don't need too much actual technical knowledge to add forums, chat etc. as they are bolt on seperate bits of script. Which means to fiddle with it you need access to whoever the host company is. I could be wrong, and if this is not the case / or to re-create it there's an awful lot of .php or similar stuff for the forums and login which I wouldn't want to begin to touch as I know next to nothing about it. Sorry :( BTW I love the fact that it's registered to 420 Bathrobe Drive - pure class! Pedro : Chat 07:44, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Admin coaching
Hey, thanks for offering to be my admin coach. However, I think I will be taking a long wikibreak. Also, Some of the people have seem to forgotten that a month by WP standards is 150 edits. So by WP standards I have been on here over a year. Also, a user called me immature; I fought back, so I think I'll be retiring from WP shortly (and not because it didn't pass). I really didn't think that my signature would be that much of a problem, cuz I was kinda "in-between" sigs and was looking for a better one. I was going to say that but the RfA was closed before I could respond to anything. Maybe if I come back I'll take you up on your offer to be your understudy. RC-0722communicator22:36, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Don't give up over one bad RfA. That's not a positive move. I'm here to help, if I can. Why not chill out, think about how much you want (or don't want) to be invloved and if you wish to work with me for your admin coaching my offer will stand. Take a short wiki break but please don't leave. Pedro : Chat 22:41, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if I was going to give up everytime something bad happens, I would have quit long time ago. But, I'm not sure if I want to a be a member of a website where people call other people immature; then when you confront them the discussion is closed. IDK,I'll think 'bout it. RC-0722communicator22:51, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes !. And I know it's a community and all, but one of the first things I think we need to chat about is Secret Pages, Userboxes and fancy sigs. But we'll do that at your coaching page. Broadly - all good fun but established editors like yourself get leeway to create pages like that - other may not - rememberWP:NOT#MYSPACE. Sorry if that comnes out hard, but you can ask around and find I'm a bit of a tough old admin coach. But I do get the results for the best candidates. :)Pedro : Chat 21:22, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Um, what's wrong with userboxes? Also, I always thought that to find a secret page you had to have knowledge of wiki markup and such; so really if you think about it it's really a test of ones WP skills (albeit it diesn't seem like one). At least that's what mine's goal was. Kimu23:29, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There's nothing wrong with userboxes, except when you end up spending more time adding them to your page than editing articles. And to find your secret page I simply used Interiot's tool to query your edits to user pages, so not overly hard :)! It's not a big deal, but you need to focus on the fact that editing to the article and project space is really what it's about. Anyhow, we'll discuss all this on your coaching page. Pedro : Chat 08:12, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Pedro for clarifying that for me. I have no idea how that happened. How would I go about entering the article under daniel Boey directly in this case?
Update: I have recreated the article. Can you check for me to make sure I am in accordance to the guidlines?
Well it's down again. Another admin already removed it saying creation of a deleted page. I am having the worse luck with this article.
Can you help me in some way? As for the notability of the article, I had a discussion with another admin back in November which I cleared up with him by adding additional references.
Pedro, I picked up on this one while coming to thank you for your kind wishes; please accept my thanks for your welcome comment. Looking at the article Daniel Boey the obvious thing that strikes me is that the AfD deletion was itself a very marginal decision; apart from the nominator there was only one opinion expressed, and this was only a weak delete. I know that the closing admin, who has suffered a name change since his action here, is extensively experienced, but as the main objection at AfD was absence of references, which has been addressed, I wonder if the article should be re-created? I am, of course, referring to the original article, not to the short article under the same name which has been correctly speedied. What do you think? --Anthony.bradbury"talk"12:39, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tony, and thanks. I have no problem at all getting the originalback, and will offer that up as an option to Succisa75. Thanks again! Pedro : Chat 12:43, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome, again, to Wikipedia. Please continue to monitor Wikipedia for any corrections you would like to make to continue contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Avi (talk) 18:28, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You caught me. I wish I had done more work since my last RFA. Perhaps an FA would have helped, or maybe just a good article. Well, despite the obstacles, my request for adminship passed 92/2/2. Thanks for your support! ;) ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 23:31, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, what a coincidence! How are you? Haven't talked to you in a month! I've been working all around Wikipedia, but I've been mostly participating in warning new users and stuff. I am also a part of WP:HAWAII, and I require your assistance, so please send me a message if you're interested. Thanks!! –TheObentoMusubi08:02, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed his nomination and the other person he nominated (which is badly formed) so they appear on the wp:rfa page mainly since you believe that there is some life in them.--KerotanLeave Me a Message Have a nice day :) 11:52, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I made an attempt to fix and transclude it purely because I guessed that the nominator in both cases didn't know how to fix it, due to their lack of experience.--KerotanLeave Me a Message Have a nice day :) 14:02, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
RfA Thanks
Thanks!
So, yeah, you know how these work... »»»»
Thank you very much for your support in my recent RfA, which closed with a final tally of (75/1/0). Your trust in me is greatly appreciated, and I can assure you it has not been misplaced. I shall use these tools to the best of my ability, and will do my best not to let you down. Thank you once again, and happy editing as always! Hersfold(t/a/c)20:17, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see you've got it sorted to deliver via AWB which is the best way. Have you approached other member of WP:HAWAII to see if they want to contribute? What are you hoping to put in the newsletter? Are you hoping to use it to keep people interested in the project? As for a template to format it, do you really need one? Have you seen one you like and want to adapt? Sorry for the question but it helps me get an idea of where you want to go. Pedro : Chat 08:27, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, sorry, sorry! I was too busy trying to do everything right and thought it would be a good excersize to do before going for adminship myself. I was just so excited about closing my first Rfa that I forgot to add it to the unsuccessfuls! Thanks for understanding (and helping me out!).

If all goes well (my schedule!), hopefully about May! Do you think it too early? My last Rfa was in Feb. But I have come a long way from then (hopefully the voters realise that too). I really took all the comment's to heart and since then have engaged in activities such as WP:AIV, WP:RFA, WP:AFD and must have read every rule in the book... = ) --Camaeron (t/c) 12:13, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey just wondering why you deleted the bio of Shane Francis McMahon? Given that he's training overseas and in a position to make a name for himself I thought it was a bit rough..email me whenever you can :) Dave derby (talk) 13:31, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I saw that you rejected the speedy so I went looking to see if I could find whether the school is in Ireland or England so as to provide better context. I discovered that it is a copy of the opening paragraph on the school's website. Would you please reconsider. Regards LittleOldMe (talk) 13:36, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
ASIMOI would like to thank you for your participation in my recent RfA, which I'm very glad to say was successful at 81/7/0. Some of the very best that Wikipedia has to offer came out to support or oppose me and the kind words from all the editors has really given me confidence to be an admin and I can't wait to start. I will take the advice of the opposes and not jump into any content disputes immediately. As well, I will try to add more content myself. Anyways, in thanks for participating in my RfA, here's your very own personal humanoid robot. Enjoy! --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk - Contribs) 14:02, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
