No, no, as per an earlier comment, I am still working on manufacturing solid stubs and starts for areas of wikiundercoverage like Ministries of Kenya, and the article looks very good. And, I like the infobox. I googled the dry port a few days ago, I didn't really find anything, I'll look for it later.... Today is the Super Bowl, its the end of football, by 11 tonight Boston time, the gestalt will have shifted to college basketball, March madness and bracketology; and then there's baseball and the days of summer. Sports is such a great metaphor for international conflict, don't know what I'd do without it. Take care. --Mr Accountable (talk) 17:46, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Boston's like Busan, Massachusetts is deeply forested. As for the national hearings, I've heard being in court's a lot of work, the whole nation is now in a courtroom, I think it takes forbearance and resolution. --Mr Accountable (talk) 18:34, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Cool, both of us on the front page together! Your fried spiders are front page news! WOW the snow here today is amazing!! Its snowing hard and there i slike a foot of snow. Its very rare to get snow on the south caost, common up north but winters are usually very mild here. The winter scene outside looks awesome!! Dr. BlofeldWhite cat10:14, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
As a participant in the Battle of Phnom Penh Commercial Bank, you may appreciate this; a few hours ago I looked at CSD and saw Chander Mohan, a one sentence article. I wrote the article and then thought to write a news article, which is now at Portal:Current events 3 Feb. Would that have scored some points in the cup? Congratulations on the DYKs. --Mr Accountable (talk) 14:14, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the spelling fixes. I'm not sure how they keep sneaking into every bit of substantial article writing I do, but luckily some people can fix it. I've reinstated the word netto and linked it in the article for ease of reading. There were in fact some facts I knew to be true, but which weren't reliably sourceable, or facts I suspected were outdated, so if Barnett ever does another interview, I'm ready to update. :) - Mgm|(talk)10:53, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
I actually wanted to write this a long time ago. I'm glad I waited for the guy to become more interesting and extensively documented. - Mgm|(talk)10:56, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm not getting it. The article got just 782 hits on DYK day. Why Asa Butterfield got over twice that much hits I'll never know. Apparently, the number of chocolate lovers is smaller than I thought. - Mgm|(talk)11:50, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes, the lowest common denominator gets me every time (I'm just surprised Asa Butterfield didn't receive similarly low hits). It especially annoys me when it concerns television... Too much bad tv gets made because the general public is too stupid to watch something that requires them to think. Luckily for me the Dutch version of The Mole defies explanation and is still going strong after 9 years despite this. I'm working on finding a last few bits of factoids. When I'm positive I've got everything in there, I'll nominate Louis for GA. - Mgm|(talk)12:11, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
I've just undone a copy-paste move someone did recently to put Louis on the main page for the name. Now, I'm not entirely sure what we should be doing based on the naming conventions, but I don't think either person is better known or more important than the other to make the decision to move unilaterally. I'm offline in about 4 hours and will be inactive for at least 3 hours after that time. Could you keep an eye on it and keep the newbies on their toes if anything happens in my absence? (Your opinion on the naming is appreciated too) - Mgm|(talk)10:02, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
For your lightning-fast and productive activity at the Internal Account Creation Tool. Congratulations on your recent appearance on the leader board! ;-) Maedin\talk21:56, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
A friendly good evening to you Paxse. Its been rather a few weeks
since I've contacted you so I wanted to ask you how many Cambodian political party logos and platforms have you found? If you have some of that then where will you show all those platforms and logos of Cambodian political parties on Wikipedia so I can use all of that to make articles on those parties. If its possible what would be useful is to give me some third party sources on the activities of these parties like from Cambodian newspapers if you could translate them from Cambodian into English for me.
I want to let you know that I think the previous week I found the website of the party I did the article on the party called the Society of Justice Party. So I wondered if you know of any websites you could give me of Cambodian political parties like [Khmer Anti-Poverty Party], [Hang Dara Democratic Movement Party], [Khmer National Party], [Khmer Improvement Party] and any other Cambodian political parties you know of I could make articles on.
I finally climbed into the second spot, and you go and do this. By the way, what's up with your userpage? All the text is overlapping. Useight (talk) 17:55, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
We're still going strong. Couple of things though; please note that you must make it known you are in the WikiCup when nominating FAs, FLs, FPos, FPs, and FSs. This is to lower the possibility of bias. We're also changing the way you get to the next round. Now, the top two from each round get through, along with ten wildcards. This means that even if you're not in the top two you can still get into Round 2, so even if you're in the group of death you can still go through. Hopefully this will be fairer for all. We've also unfortunately had our first withdrawal - Truco has left the Cup. Best wishes for him in the future. Garden., iMatthew // talk, and TheHelpfulOne

I just put 1929 Dayton Triangles season up for DYK. Hopefully I did it correctly. It's listed under February 8th because I happened to create it at 23:58 on the 8th. This was my first attempt at a DYK, so I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't accepted. Useight (talk) 18:18, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
On 11 February, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Yeay Mao, which you recently nominated. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.
There could appear soon some border town categories for Southeast Asian nations, along the lines of the series of Southern Africa border crossing categories viz Category:Zambia-Zimbabwe border crossings. Provinces, districts, communes, and towns will be considered; maybe every Khmai border district with a land border would be appropriate for the cat. --Mr Accountable (talk) 14:22, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Pin maps
My request for a good pin map of Cambodia has been granted, my good friend NordNordWest has created a higher quality svg map File:Cambodia location map.svg. I practically begged him to make it a priority as the old one didn't meet SPECTRE's seal of approval. Looks good I think. I've also obtained some new images of Cambodia by asking a flickr user to change the license on sleected images, we now have some nices images of Takeo rice fields and Kampong Cham. Oiii! Stop orphan tagging and upload us those pictures!! Just kidding. Paxse as our Colombian-Cambodian friend has done well expanding Highway 4 and I've seen the numerous other national roads appearing in articles I am going to red link highways 1-80. Any idea what the naming convention is and how many national roads there are. Sure I've seen National Road 73 somehwere. ANyway let me know as we should start these soon enough as they are important for connecting articles together in the way they connect places! Dr. BlofeldWhite cat16:54, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
So what you are saying is the "highways" are 1-7 and 8 onwards national roads. Would National Road 34 be adqueate or would it be Provincial Road 34 or what. Please let me know!Dr. BlofeldWhite cat17:33, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi Guys! Well it's Thehelpfulone's first time properly looking at the scores as he made this newsletter and he's impressed on how much work you have all done. It's a shame to say that RyanCross has withdrawn from the Cup. We have almost hit 200 DYKs, not far off from 100 GA's and Durova has passed the 1000 point mark on points, with 1347 points so congratulations to her!

Hey, I've started adding infoboxes and Vietnamese wiki templates to Vietnam now. It is shocking how much there is to do, districts hundreds of them each with several hundred thousand people just one liners. Then theres the communes of Vietnam amd Cambodia which are missing entirely not to mention villages within them. Frightening really. Anyway check out Larry Carlton on YouTube. Both my dad and I rate this guy extremely high. Dr. BlofeldWhite cat21:31, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

We have 31 days left, just one month left in the first round. The first two months have already produced spectacular results, and we're hoping to see a great race to the end of the round. Get those nominations in for them to count for this round, but remember that any nominations that are not promoted before the end of this round, will still count for round two if you make it. We unfortunately had another contestant, What!?Why?Who?, withdraw this week and we wish them the best.
We saw some big jumps in content upgrades this week! We saw 33 new good articles, 3 new featured articles and lists, 8 featured pictures, 5 featured sounds, and 24 did you know items. (Also note, there are 111 good articles and 222 did you know items as of this newsletter). Keep it up during the final push to round two. GARDEN, iMatthew // talk, and TheHelpfulOne

I think it's safe to say that this week is probably your last chance to nominate anything for promotion to count in this round, so start planning that all-important final push. Bear in mind that anything not promoted this month will still count in the next round if you go through. It's looking very close in the Wildcards section, so if you don't see yourself there, don't panic—you may not be too far off the pace! GARDEN, iMatthew // talk, and TheHelpfulOne

Nomination
MBisanz would like to nominate you to become an administrator. Please visit Wikipedia:Requests for adminship to see what this process entails, and then contact MBisanz to accept or decline the nomination. A page has been created for your nomination at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Paxse . If you accept the nomination, you must state and sign your acceptance. You may also choose to make a statement and/or answer the optional questions to supplement the information your nominator has given. Once you are satisfied with the page, you may post your nomination for discussion, or request that your nominator do so.
I note that you wrote a message on the board of one of the participants in a school project wherein students are collaboratively creating new articles. One editor in particular, (andy), has taken it upon himself to nominate almost all of these creations for deletion. I'd like to invite you to check out the discussions of the following pages: Islam and civil rights, Hinduism and science, Buddhism and the body, Taoism and death, Jewish clothing, and Christianity in Haiti. I think that in most cases deletion is unnecessary as the articles can be salvaged with further editing. These are all articles hat have just been created in the past few days. Thanks for your interest.Vote Cthulhu (talk) 12:47, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

What a brilliant finale to Round 1. With so little in it it was always going to be a tight contest, particularly in the all-important wildcard places. Congratulations to all those who have made it to Round 2, and commiserations to all who have been eliminated.
