OK, I may ramble a bit, but I hope I get the basics across. Ok, here goes.

• First, goto your userpage, and look at the address bar. It should say something like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:OllieFury.
• Now, to the end of that, add /guestbook or /guest_book, something like that. Hit enter after that, and you should be presented with the options to create the page.
• Start the page, and leave a message asking visiting users to sign, and hey presto! Your done!

Ceremonial Buckinghamshire

To not use the word "ceremonial" when referring to places in Milton Keynes is misleading. This is because there is still an administrative county called Buckinghamshire, and that doesn't include Milton Keynes or any of the places in Milton Keynes District. Comparing it to Berkshire is not the same thing, as there is no administrative county of Berkshire any more, and thus a distinction between administrative and ceremonial is unnecessary. -- role^player 21:43, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

OK I get that. Maybe a better example would be Luton in Bedfordshire or Swindon in Wiltshire. I do still like to think that Buckinghamshire exists in its entirety for more than purely political reasons- to split MK off and just pretend that it's not Buckinghamshire doesn't sound right. But you are still doing it. Milton Keynes is not in the area described by the current Buckinghamshire article and it is misleading to readers to send them there. Either omit the [[ ]]s or use Buckinghamshire#Ceremonial county. I called it vandalism, a lttle tongue-cheek, to get your attention since - despite your favourable response to Roleplayer's request - you continued to make inappropriate wlinks. On the scale of vandalism, it is barely 1 out of 10. The issue is not that somebody from North Bucks might continue to say that they are from Buckinghamshire (quite reasonably, if only to give a sense of where in GB they live). The issue is that the Buckinghamshire article as it stands is about the administrative entity that stops (roughly) at the Varsity Line. So a reader from another part of the world will be very confused if a link from Olney takes him/her to an admin county that is as irrelevant as Beds or Northants. Of course the alternative would be to rewrite the Buckinghamshire article so that the admin elements are secondary, but there is an eastablished precedent (see talk:traditional counties of England) that we don't do that. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 19:13, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

WikiCup notice

The 2009 WikiCup will begin on January 1, 2009. The first round will run through March 31, 2009. For more information on this tournament, read the "about" section on the main WikiCup page.

This year, we have a different system in calculating points. At User:Garden/WikiCup/Submissions, you will find information about submitting your article (and other) work to earn points. Each contestant will have their own individual subpage for submitting completed work to us.
