Ship class articles and italicsPlease go through all of the ship class articles that you are blithely adding italics to and make sure that you're doing it right. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (ships) for the correct and incorrect usage of italics. In a nutshell, classes named for a member of the class have italicized titles; all others are no italicized. Please fix those that you have broken. —Trappist the monk (talk) 04:04, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
Yes, I understand your frustration that some of these pages should not be italicized. Most should. I tried to clean up the ones that I knew where wrong, and I fixed the template, DISPLAYTITLE. However, as the quote says, "the needs of the many outways the needs of the few". Considering the fact that most of the pages were neglected enough not to have italics in their titles, overall, a massive campaign to italicize ship names does far more good then damage. Disambiguation link notification for February 24Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Star Trek (film series), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Scotty and Chekov (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Abrams in the article, and three links to Star Trek (film), but even if there were more the links I added are necessary, because it's the top of the page. Also, the first thing that many people look at in an article is the infobox. --Homerland (talk) 17:26, 27 September 2013 (UTC) Three in-line links. --Homerland (talk) 17:29, 27 September 2013 (UTC)

Could you review your recent pass of automated edits and ensure you did not clean up any more direct quotes? At least one instance was fixed here. Thanks! Kuru (talk) 22:35, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi Oldag07: I too have noticed some problems here there are several instances where "manner in which" → "how" ends up not being grammatical: " and the how their upbringing might contribute to these problem". At line 126 here sense is lost in deleting "in order" I think it is important to have the causal relationship established. These are the only two pages I've looked at so far, but please please be careful with automated tools. On a related note, did this script get vetted by WP:BAG before you implemented it? I based the edits around these sites that were suggested by my professor some 7 years ago. Oldag07 (talk) 00:36, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
Edits to Salamander (legendary creature)Where you removed "in fact," that's not a parenthetical "in fact," it's "founded in fact". I assume you're using a script or something, but not every instance of the phrase "in fact" is "deadwood" as you call it. The words actually do mean something. "which are founded in fact on some level" to "which are founded on some level" - that doesn't make sense. |
