Original Welcome MessageHello, Nomader/Archive 1, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

The welcome message was no problem, I will usually give it to anyone as long as I see that they have contributed something and are new. It does seem slightly robotic at first, but then there are dozens of people who never even read it so there has to be a way of expediting the process. As for the deletes . . . I cannot delete pages, only recmooned it -- an administrator has to do the actual deleting. However, some new users do not understand that this being an "encyclopedia that anyone can edit", doesn't mean that there aren;t rules and a lot of people don't take the time to read them. The articles have to meet certain criteria in general. What most people don't see is that RC patrollers save as many poorly written or short articles as they nix others. If any of your articles ever gets a delete message stuck on it, don't be afraid to ask why and if you disagree with the explanation, to contest it. And don't take it personally, because it isn't an attack, but just an attempt to make the encyclopedia a quality resource. Anyway, thanks for leaving me the message and if you need anything at all, just let me know and I will do my best to assist you in any way that I can. :) (Arundhati Bakshi (talk • contribs)) 11:09, 3 March 2006 (UTC) Thanks

My RfAThanks for supporting my RFA. I really appreciated the show of support and all the kind words from so many great Wikipedians. I hope I live up to them! -- Vary | Talk 17:51, 12 March 2006 (UTC) My RFAThank you for supporting my RFA. I appreciated the show of support and all the kind words. If there's ever anything I can do to help with my new administrator status, please don't hesitate to contact me. --Myles Long 14:20, 15 March 2006 (UTC) Bahamut-yes, it's me. How are you Nomader? I'm great! I finally reached 1k reviews AND 500 responses on NG. So that makes me the 10th user to get 500 responses and the 20th user to get 1k for all stats! :D Also, I've submitted a new flash. Enjoy! [1] --Bahamut 15:03, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
CorbinSimpson's Request for AdminshipThanks for voting in my request for administrator rights, even though it failed (13/30/4). Sadly, work has forced me to respond to you all using a substituted message rather than a personalized response. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that administrators, to me, should be chosen and approved by the community, and I will continue working to become a better editor and Wikipedian. No matter what the alignment of your vote was, I will take your comments seriously and use them to improve myself. If you wish to discuss your comments personally with me, I would be more than glad to talk about things since the RfA is now over; just leave your concern on my talk page and we will sort things out. Thanks again for voting, and happy editing! - Corbin Be excellent
Objection!I've added more stuff to the Objection! page. :) MrD 00:37, 28 July 2006 (UTC) (oops @_@) Thanks, warningThanks for supporting me in my RfA, but why did you mess up Randfan's comment? —The Great Llamamoo? 23:46, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
My (ccool2ax's) RFAI noticed you opposed me partially because I dislike Notability. You seem to imply that I don't like it because an article I mistakenly created was deleted. I would like to assure you that the article has nothing at all to do with why I hate notability. I was a new editor, even stupider than now, and I have sane, real reasons for opposing Notability, as one of the questions says. -- Chris is me 18:34, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

I'll try to be more rational in the future, really! Have a nice day, and I apologize for the laggy response! -- Chris is me 17:04, 12 December 2006 (UTC) SmileSir james paul has smiled at you! However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy). I've been having a dispute with another editor about the Tom Penders article. I added in information about the scandals he was involved in at Texas and George Washington and another user is removing them, calling them "defamation." Although they may not reflect well on Penders, I think they're factual and I've sourced them. I'd appreciate it if you would take a look. Thanks --AW 08:15, 28 February 2007 (UTC) WP ChristianityHi, I saw your name on the WikiProject Christianity Membership page. I've made some changes to the WP Christianity main project page, added several sup-project pages, created a few task forces section, and proposed several more possible changes so that we can really start making some serious progress on the project. Please stop by and see my comments on the project talk page here and consider joining a task force or helping out with improving and contributing to our sub-projects. Thanks for your time! A tag has been placed on Weebly, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Weebly is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged. As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:17, 7 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. OsamaKBOT 15:17, 7 September 2007 (UTC) Fair use disputed for Image:Blessed SacLogo.JPGThanks for uploading Image:Blessed SacLogo.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. BetacommandBot 15:41, 20 October 2007 (UTC) License tagging for Image:Massivesnowscreen.gifThanks for uploading Image:Massivesnowscreen.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:07, 5 November 2007 (UTC) WikiProject College football December 2007 NewsletterThe December 2007 issue of the College football WikiProject newsletter has been published. Fair use rationale for Image:Jampack.jpgThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Jampack.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
