pageswap script for convenience

Hi Niceguyedc, I've noticed that at some point, you performed round-robin page moves. Thought I'd share a script here (js) that semi-automates page swaps for convenience, if you ever encounter the scenario. You'd simply click "Swap" and enter a page destination, the script performs the 3 moves as necessary (saves time having to manually go through the move form 3 times). (It doesn't correct redirects afterwards, that's still manual)

Hello, exist a problem in several articles and verbets of Wikipedia and Wiktionary in Portuguese, English and Spanish!

Was be saying that comic strip, charge and cartoon are synonymous, when, in really, are different things!

Comic strip (tira cômica in Portuguese and tira cómica in Spanish): short duration comics, with the frames (which usually range from one to five, three being the most common) disposed and organized in the form of a strip, such as own name already implies and being or not humorous. The comic strip criticizes the values ​​of society. There are three types of comic strips: daily strips (tiras diárias in Portuguese and tiras diarias in Spanish), usually printed in small quantities because of the pace of publication, in black and white (though some in color) and three some containing one to five), Sunday boards (pranchas dominicais in Portuguese and planchas dominicales in Spanish), usually printed in large quantities, in color (although some in black and white) and with a larger number of tables occupying a entire page and the yonkomas (yonkomas same in Portuguese and Spanish), of Japanese origin, with four vertical frames (although some in the horizontal) and who always deal with serious matters, but in a humorous form. Due to the similarities between the first animated short films and the cartoons printed and published at the time, the animated drawing name in English also refers to cartoon, in full, animated cartoon. The same thing happens in Italian and German, where the cartoon is called, respectively, cartone animato and animierte Cartoon. Etymology: from the British English, cartoon and these of the Italian, cartone, cartone, large piece of paper, sketch, study, draft or anteproject.

Remembering and highlighting that the caricature has nothing to do with the other three because isn't a form of comic: is, simply, a humoristic exaggerated drawing of something or someone, be real or not, does not even have texts!

In fact, all my editions in this sense are already being reversed, I do not know why, since I understand a lot of comics, so I am a comic drawer, writer and scripter, so that I am no amateur and layman in the Whole subject, see it!

Wikipedia is one of the most wide-reaching repositories of shared knowledge, yet a 2011 survey found that less than 10% of its contributors identify as female, suggesting an alarming absence of voices. What and how information is shared is skewed by this gender disparity. To help change this, the Jacob Lawrence Gallery is organizing a quarterly series of Edit-a-thons to improve Wikipedia's coverage of womxn artists of color. This Saturday afternoon's gathering will focus on creating, editing, updating, and expanding pages for womxn artists from Latin America and the Caribbean. The Edit-a-thon will feature a talk by Dan Paz, Lecturer in the UW School of Art + Art History + Design, an artist, and an educator who explores the labor of digital imaging production as a collaborative site where the intersections of the image-idea and lived experience are produced and contested. Through videos, photography, and sculptural projects that query the ability of documentary processes to be manipulated—to be multiplied and replicated, stopped and started, rewound and advanced—Dan works within the impossibilities of absolute replication to question the very ability of the image to truly represent. Everyone is welcome. Access to UW WiFi will be provided for non-UW affiliated participants. All you need to bring is your laptop, power cord, and ideas. No previous Wikipedia experience required! WPCleaner 2.0

Hello Niceguyedc.

I would like to inform you that a new version of WPCleaner is available replacing the old version (v1.43) dating back to almost a year. Unfortunately, going from version 1.43 to 2.0 automatically isn't possible and will require a new installation. It's necessary to install version 2.0 to take advantage of updates and bug fixes. Version 1.43 will have to be uninstalled manually, as there are no more updates for it.

The installation procedure is described at Wikipedia:WPCleaner/Installation.

Note: for usage in Bot mode, I strongly advise to check the modifications to be sure that the tasks run correctly

This may be something you've discovered already; but I'm another recent new WP:PAGEMOVER, and it took me four goes to work out the best way to do it. It's poorly documented. WP:ROUNDROBIN is downright unhelpful. WP:ROBIN is better, but doesn't completely describe the trick of it. Use the drop-down box in the LH column on the Move page to select Draft or Main, don't try to do everything in the RH column box. Hello It's about the Colin Hughes (political science) name change. Yesterday I made a disambiguation page because I understood from (further) reading that, if there is no primary topic, that's what I should do, not hatnotes. The disambiguation page was reviewed by an experienced editor and is apparently okay, but it refers to Colin Hughes (political scientist) and I wonder whether your change got rid of it? @Margaid: Per WP:TWODABS#Primary topic with only one other topic, there is no need for a disambiguation page. There are only two entries for the name 'Colin Hughes', and the political scientist is the primary topic. Colin Hughes (political scientist) still exists. Hi there I noticed your changess to this page. Clearing up ambiguous links is an important task, but "it is more important to disambiguate correctly than to disambiguate quickly""; I think it would be useful to consider this particular link a little more closey. I think there are two mauin issues here:

1. The link is from a music genre section in an infobox, but your edit targets the link at Album-oriented rock. The page states explicitly (and my experience agrees) that this is a radio format and not a music genre. As such it would appear not to be a suitable target for a link. Perhaps you could clarify why you think it might be?
2. The "DAB" page you unlinked (Adult-oriented rock) is marked as a candidate for a WP:BROAD broad concept article (presumably encompassing Yacht rock and Arena rock, neither of which fit this album). Doesn't it make sense to leave appropriate "ambiguous" links pointing there in anticipation of the needed article?

@MegaSloth: Having looked at it a little more, it appears that the best current article that we have on the topic is Adult contemporary music, which can be considered both a music genre (the article goes through the whole discussion of whether it is a genre or not) and a radio format. If you feel that this also isn't appropriate, and that you'd like to leave it as a link to the disambiguation page at Adult-oriented rock, please link it through Adult-oriented rock (disambiguation). This will let other disambiguators know that the link is intentional (for when Adult-oriented rock is no longer a disambiguation page) and won't be changed by those other editors. -Niceguyedc ^Go Huskies! 08:59, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

I've decided (at least for now) to link to soft rock via the "link with possibilities" I just created adult-oriented rock (genre), I think it's a tad closer than adult contemporary, and at least mentions adult-oriented rock in passing. Tuesday evening, January 15, 2019, 6-9pm at Wayward Coffeehouse, 6417 Roosevelt Way NE #104, Seattle WA 98115 Wikipedia Day celebrates the anniversary of the founding of Wikipedia. This year in Seattle, Cascadia Wikimedians' celebration of Wikipedia Day will focus on a different closely related project: Wikimedia Commons, which (among other things) functions as the media repository for Wikipedia. When you see a photo or map in Wikipedia, or hear an audio clip, etc., it usually is hosted on Wikimedia Commons and "transcluded" into Wikipedia. Wikimedia Commons is a mix of users' own works and curated third-party content, either public domain or free-licensed. Our event is a hands-on workshop in curating third-party content, mostly early 20th-century photos of Seattle and other West Coast locations. Currently, Wikimedia Commons has two intersecting sets of older photos, one from the Asahel Curtis Photo Company and the other a more general set of Seattle images. At this meetup, we will celebrate the 18th anniversary of Wikipedia by further curating these images by the creation and addition of categories, adding ImageNotes where useful, linking other versions of the same photo, enhancing the descriptions, and identifying and correcting errors. User:Jmabel has already categorized over 1000 images and corrected several hundred wrong dates, misidentified buildings, and etc., but there is much more to be done.
