If you have a proposal or idea you are thinking about, and would like a space to work on it on your own or with others, please consider joining us for either the Thursday or Saturday sessions. We'll discuss a little about IdeaLab and how it works, and the rest of the time is space for idea building. Kenyan Community CurrenciesFor the programs in Kenya lots of articles can be found on this page: http://grassrootseconomics.org/media#news - you can also search google for more articles going all the way back to Eco-Pesa. Ng'ombeni-Pesa, Lindi-Pesa, Kangemi-Pesa, Gatina-Pesa and Balngla-Pesa all fall under what we call the Sarafu-Credit (a generic term for the type of Community Currencies here in Kenya). This new permission allows users to mark accounts for confirmed for up to 10 days, and also allows them to create accounts for events without rate limits without some of the features of the account creator right that aren't used at edit-a-thons and other events. I have added the event coordinator permission to your account and removed the account creator permission, as you appear to have been using it mainly for outreach work. This should have no noticeable impact on your ability to create accounts, and will give you the extra ability to temporarily confirm accounts if you need to. For more information, you can see the information page on the right, or you can ask me if you have any questions. TonyBallioni (talk) 17:09, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

I think you may have misunderstood how the non party thing works. If you're a non party, it's intended that you replace the non party party part with your name and fill in your statement below. Each party or non-party gets their own subheading, and their comments are only under that subheading. Preferably, you should make a copy of the 'sample'/'template' on the bottom of the edit window before filling it in, that way it's there for anyone else to do do the same. In case you don't notice the changes on the GAR page: I broke Narodnoye delo into a separate article, since I think it ought to have one and at any rate that section was more about the paper than Elisabeth Dmitrieff. So far, writing Nikolai Utin, I've barely come across anything mentioning any women, even Olga, which is... well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that all the women get ignored, but nevertheless. (Surprise surprise, Dmitrieff's Swiss Dictionary of Biography article mentions Utin, but his doesn't mention her.) If you think you can find anything else on Dmitrieff and Narodnoye delo, I think that would be a really worthwhile addition. (Not in terms of the GA, just in general.) -- asilvering (talk) 21:37, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

Translation from French Wikipedia requires attributionHi Nattes à chat, thanks for your translations from French Wikipedia. I noticed that many of your translations fail to properly credit the authors of the original French articles. As this is a requirement based on Wikipedia's licensing requirements, I wanted to make you aware of what the rules are about this. Please note that while copying or translating material from other Wikipedias is permitted, Wikipedia's licensing requires that proper attribution be given to the authors of the original article. There are three ways of doing this, spelled out in the Wikimedia Terms of Use sect. 7, and it approves the use of the edit summary to credit authors by providing a hyperlink to the original article in the edit summary. The suggested method given by Wikipedia's editing guideline for translated material is to include the following statement in the edit summary where you added translated material:
If you are copying English-language content from another Wikimedia project, then the editing guideline for copied content suggests this:
Note also that this guideline derives from Wikimedia's Terms of Use, which are not optional, and cannot be ignored. (Please also note, that if you do translations in the other direction (en ⟶ fr), that the Wikimedia terms of use apply to all Wikipedias; see fr:Aide:Crédit d'auteurs, fr:Wikipédia:Citation et réutilisation du contenu de Wikipédia for how French Wikipedia explains this.) Going forward, please be sure that all of your translations (and additions of copied material) are properly attributed. Note that this isn't limited to just article space; if you translate into Draft space, or your sandbox, or your user talk page, the same considerations apply. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 19:17, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

Paris Commune translationsHi again, Nattes à chat! I see you've translated Women in the Paris Commune, which I was working on, and that I accidentally scooped Adélaïde Valentin while you were translating that one! We should probably co-ordinate. I'm most of the way through fr:Céleste Hardouin at the moment. I have some other in-progress translations listed on my userpage, but I haven't got terribly far with any of them (they're mostly there as a to-do list). I'd be happy if you wanted to do any of those, but would appreciate a heads-up if so, so I don't go back to work on them. I also started a stub on Louise Neckbecker, which isn't on fr-wiki yet, if you feel like dropping anything into that. Is there anything you're working on or that you have your eye on that I should avoid? -- asilvering (talk) 23:31, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
I would request that this sort of discussion take place at a more central forum, such as WT:FRANCE, where other interested editors could find it and participate in the discussions, and perhaps assist in the effort. (Wherever it resides, it should be linked by other relevant projects, such as WT:WOMEN, WT:BIOG, WT:Women in red, WT:WMNHIST, etc.) It's not too late to hat this discussion, and continue it at WT:FRANCE; see {{Discussion moved to}} / {{Discussion moved from}}. Ligue de femmes Suisses contre l'alcoolismeHi there. I just started this page, Ligue de femmes Suisses contre l'alcoolisme, which has limited refs in English, but apparently several in French that are, unfortunately, only available as snippets to me. I think the article is fine as is, but if you wanted to consider creating the French version of it, you'll probably have additional sources available. No worries if you're working on other things or if you think the article doesn't meet FR-WP policy requirements. Really, just wanted to pop over and say hi and mention that I've created it.
