SkateparkThat copyvio one you deleted - I've protected it as it's been already created more than once under a similar title (and different account). However, I can't find what it was, and I know I protected it before. How does one find out what one's protected? Not in my watchlist. Peridon (talk) 18:45, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Creation protected article Dave DaysHi Nancy I'm serving as an AfC reviewer, pretty new to it. Help and guidance, please! David_FLXD (Talk) 04:29, 6 July 2012 (UTC) A piece of adviceHappy Sunday Nancy ! Remember I told you I'd bring you a biiiiiiiig problem ? So, today I'm here for a piece of advice...:) ! As you can see I've been working on Gottschalk's pieces, moving things from one place to another, filling in refs and info... that is, dealing with things that the majority of us here have no time for, making them readable. Yes I thought about including the Opus numbers in my moves because for me at least they're part of the title too, like Schubert's or Chopin's, althought I've gotta admit it's not a norm here. I tend to say that an article becomes an article when other users come to take part and enhance them in one way or another, to add something more and push them ahead, but not the other way around. So when a user sounds arrogant enough and make my heart beat faster... (6 cardiac arrests last year. Dead 6 times ha ha !) this 50 yo. feminist heart burns. Really, I'm not here to create double redirects. It's the tone of his remarks all over that makes me see I'm standing before one of those users you know, too teen for me to deal with. The funniest of it all is that he moved only the things he dealt with, not my own's. I was working on Gottschalk's Op. 3 and Op. 11, but the sun is shining so bright out there that maybe I should kick Wiki's butt and take the plane to the Adriatic or somewhere in the Canary Islands. Maybe I come back in time for dinner tonight. The airport is only a 20 min-ride from here ! I wonder... will he move Bach's too ? Biiiiiiiig kiss for you Nancy. Sorry to bring you such personal things....:) ! Krenakarore TK 11:41, 8 July 2012 (UTC) A piece of the action → Cheer up, the sun is shining..........:) ! Thanks. Seeking Canal du Midi travel infoNancy - I would greatly appreciate us being able to discuss Canal du Midi traveling outside of WikiPedia. I have lots of questions and think you would be a great source. This news article has me greatly upset and need to know what you think about the situation. http://www.francetoday.com/articles/2012/07/14/trees_in_trouble.html If you could just email me [] I would greatly appreciate it. Page Triage newsletterHey all. Some quick but important updates on what we've been up to and what's coming up next :). The curation toolbar, our Wikimedia-supported twinkle replacement. We're going to be deploying it, along with a pile of bugfixes, to wikipedia on 9 August. After a few days to check it doesn't make anything explode or die, we'll be sticking up a big notice and sending out an additional newsletter inviting people to test it out and give us feedback :). This will be followed by two office hours sessions - one on Tuesday the 14th of August at 19:00 UTC for all us Europeans, and one on Wednesday the 15th at 23:00 UTC for the East Coasters out there :). As always, these will be held in #wikimedia-office; drop me a note if you want to know how to easily get on IRC, or if you aren't able to attend but would like the logs. I hope to see a lot of you there; it's going to be a big day for everyone involved, I think :). I'll have more notes after the deployment! Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 19:56, 3 August 2012 (UTC) New Pages newsletterHey all :) A couple of new things. First, you'll note that all the project titles have now changed to the Page Curation prefix, rather than having the New Pages Feed prefix. This is because the overarching project name has changed to Page Curation; the feed is still known as New Pages Feed, and the Curation Toolbar is still the Curation Toolbar. Hopefully this will be the last namechange ;p. On the subject of the Curation Toolbar (nice segue, Oliver!) - it's now deployed on Wikipedia. Just open up any article in the New Pages Feed and it should appear on the right. It's still a beta version - bugs are expected - and we've got a lot more work to do. But if you see something going wrong, or a feature missing, drop me a note or post on the project talkpage and I'll be happy to help :). We'll be holding two office hours sessions to discuss the tool and improvements to it; the first is at 19:00 UTC on 14 August, and the second at 23:00 on the 15th. Both will be in #wikimedia-office as always. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 16:00, 10 August 2012 (UTC) You are invited to the first ever Reading Wiki Meetup which will take place at Copa, 76-78 Kings Road, Reading, RG1 3BJ on Sunday 23 September 2012 from 1.00 pm. I hope as many people as possible will be able to attend so that we can make this a regular event. If you have never been to one, this is an opportunity to meet other Wikipedians in an informal atmosphere for Wiki and non-Wiki related chat and for beer or food if you like. Experienced and new contributors are all welcome. This event is definitely not restricted just to discussion of Berkshire related topics. Bring your laptop if you like and use the free Wifi or just bring yourself. Even better, bring a friend! Click the link for full details. Looking forward to seeing you. Philafrenzy (talk) 22:24, 16 August 2012 (UTC) Gārsene ManorHaia, vacations coming ! But before you leave, if that's not much to ask, could you fix this ? It needs to be retitled to Gārsene Manor once this is not a fortified structure. Yes, there's a similitude (you like the word?) of meanings among castles, palaces and manor houses. Any advice...:) ? Thanks. Krenakarore TK 22:37, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
About Talk:MattegodaNancy, we rambunctious boys appear to be in an, ahem, "gentlemanly discussion" about this article. Could you possibly watchlist it, and perhaps quietly knock a little sense into the combatants as you might see required?--Shirt58 (talk) 14:35, 2 September 2012 (UTC) Page Curation newsletterHey Nancy. This will be, if not our final newsletter, one of the final ones :). After months of churning away at this project, our final version (apart from a few tweaks and bugfixes) is now live. Changes between this and the last release include deletion tag logging, a centralised log, and fixes to things like edit summaries. Hopefully you like what we've done with the place; suggestions for future work on it, complaints and bugs to the usual address :). We'll be holding a couple of office hours sessions, which I hope you'll all attend. Many thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 10:58, 24 September 2012 (UTC) Page Curation newsletter - closing up!Hey all :). We're (very shortly) closing down this development cycle for Page Curation. It's genuinely been a pleasure to talk with you all and build software that is so close to my own heart, and also so effective. The current backlog is 9 days, and I've never seen it that low before. However! Closing up shop does not mean not making any improvements. First-off, this is your last chance to give us a poke about unresolved bugs or report new ones on the talkpage. If something's going wrong, we want to know about it :). Second, we'll hopefully be taking another pass over the software next year. If you've got ideas for features Page Curation doesn't currently have, stick them here. Again, it's been an honour. Thanks :). Misa CampoHey you deleted the Misa Campo page back in 2010. Some people have been working on the page in my sandbox. Does it merit possibly recreating? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Huperphuff/projects/Misa_Campo Huper Phuff (talk2me) 04:37, 29 October 2012 (UTC) This is not a newsletterAnyway. You're getting this note because you've participated in discussion and/or asked for updates to either the Article Feedback Tool or Page Curation. This isn't about either of those things, I'm afraid ;p. We've recently started working on yet another project: Echo, a notifications system to augment the watchlist. There's not much information at the moment, because we're still working out the scope and the concepts, but if you're interested in further updates you can sign up here. In addition, we'll be holding an office hours session at 21:00 UTC on Wednesday, 14 November in #wikimedia-office - hope to see you all there :). I appreciate it's an annoying time for non-Europeans: if you're interested in chatting about the project but can't make it, give me a shout and I can set up another session if there's enough interest in one particular timezone or a skype call if there isn't. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 11:11, 10 November 2012 (UTC) Thanks for raising your concerns about the notability of this article back in 2008. Its creator removed your prod, and the notability tag is still in place 5 years later. You may want to consider taking it to the Notability Noticeboard or AfD. The information on that page was my own bio written and submitted by me to the theatre while I was working there. The same bio can be found on my own site www.brianfeehan.com. I am also no longer working at the Interlake. Is there a way to re-insate the page? Hello Nancy, Apologies if I am writing this in the wrong place, but I am unsure of the protocols. I have recently bought an album by Erica Nockalls called Imminent Room, and went to read about her on Wikipedia, but there is no page, it does state however that you deleted the page because of reason A7, which I believe means that it is because it is of no worth (or something like that). Erica is a member of the band The Wonder Stuff, as well as a credible solo artist, and I would like to read about her on Wikipedia. Is there any way that the article can be reinstated? Thank you stuartmoss. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stuartmoss (talk • contribs) 20:05, 2 February 2013 (UTC) Thanks for tagging this article for notability back in 2008. It's still tagged; you may want to take it to the Notability noticeboard or AfD to get it resolved. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 13:24, 30 January 2013 (UTC) It's very disconcerting to find a page I want to read is deleted and then that the person responsible "is busy in real life and may not respond swiftly to queries." Why didn't you just delete the part you questioned instead of the entire subject. From what the page author posted, it seems like the reason is bogus anyway. Is this a personal feuding match? Wikipedia doesn't need "personalities". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.95.203.112 (talk) 00:21, 3 February 2013 (UTC) Happy Adminship Anniversary!Copyright questionNancy, I have tried before, but you never would respond as to why you deleted my page? I never understood your "copyright infringement" concern as we created the document you referenced. Please respond as I would like to get the page back on Wikipedia. Article Feedback deploymentHey Nancy; I'm dropping you this note because you've used the article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :). I suspect you deleted it as part of a fast track process based on the prior page being deleted. I found this through the link at the bottom of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_text-based_computer_games What were the reasons for the original deletion? The game is bigger and has been established longer than some of their competitors which have articles that remain up? If I were to rewrite the article and meet the criteria which were missing, could we entertain the possibility of reinstating the page? This message is intended to notify administrators of important changes to the protection policy. Extended confirmed protection (also known as "30/500 protection") is a new level of page protection that only allows edits from accounts at least 30 days old and with 500 edits. The automatically assigned "extended confirmed" user right was created for this purpose. The protection level was created following this community discussion with the primary intention of enforcing various arbitration remedies that prohibited editors under the "30 days/500 edits" threshold to edit certain topic areas. In July and August 2016, a request for comment established consensus for community use of the new protection level. Administrators are authorized to apply extended confirmed protection to combat any form of disruption (e.g. vandalism, sock puppetry, edit warring, etc.) on any topic, subject to the following conditions:
Please review the protection policy carefully before using this new level of protection on pages. Thank you. Two-Factor Authentication now available for adminsHello, Please note that TOTP based two-factor authentication is now available for all administrators. In light of the recent compromised accounts, you are encouraged to add this additional layer of security to your account. It may be enabled on your preferences page in the "User profile" tab under the "Basic information" section. For basic instructions on how to enable two-factor authentication, please see the developing help page for additional information. Important: Be sure to record the two-factor authentication key and the single use keys. If you lose your two factor authentication and do not have the keys, it's possible that your account will not be recoverable. Furthermore, you are encouraged to utilize a unique password and two-factor authentication for the email account associated with your Wikimedia account. This measure will assist in safeguarding your account from malicious password resets. Comments, questions, and concerns may be directed to the thread on the administrators' noticeboard. A new user group, New Page Reviewer, has been created in a move to greatly improve the standard of new page patrolling. The user right can be granted by any admin at PERM. It is highly recommended that admins look beyond the simple numerical threshold and satisfy themselves that the candidates have the required skills of communication and an advanced knowledge of notability and deletion. Admins are automatically included in this user right. It is anticipated that this user right will significantly reduce the work load of admins who patrol the performance of the patrollers. However, due to the complexity of the rollout, some rights may have been accorded that may later need to be withdrawn, so some help will still be needed to some extent when discovering wrongly applied deletion tags or inappropriate pages that escape the attention of less experienced reviewers, and above all, hasty and bitey tagging for maintenance. User warnings are available here but very often a friendly custom message works best. If you have any questions about this user right, don't hesitate to join us at WT:NPR.
