Re : 1a FACsYou might not heard from me before personally, but I would say that we are pretty much in the same boat after looking at your FAC. I also have one article that has failed in a spectacularly similar manner (twice!) due to 1(a) problems. I can tell you that the path to meeting 1(a) is a very steep one. The common advice to seek Peer Review, GoCE, etc. is easier said than done, having exhausted every other option myself without much success, getting more a handful of copy editors and still not passing the criteria. I'm thinking of setting up some kind of task-force with editors facing the same problem so that we can pool together whatever resources we have and work something out for everyone. Perhaps like "1A Rescue". What do you think? - Best regards, Mailer Diablo 10:29, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

AirAsia XYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on AirAsia X. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. To avoid any blocks, I've opted for a page protection in this case. It may be the wrong version, though.--Tikiwont (talk) 10:24, 30 October 2008 (UTC) Thx for Launceston ClimateI worked it out in the end but you being reliable had already done it. Thankyou. I know i'm all those that you say, but you guys have not given me a chance, I'm just going to stop contributing and you cane lead on with a shit wikipedia page. It does look really bad, and need cleaning up, especially the picture. I don't understand why Brisbane can't have a similar structure to Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. You prevent Brisbane from becoming a good page. Why do you think it hasn't bumped up to an A Grade or Better. Thats all I can say. It is like you are leaving Brisbane behind with alot of potential. Jetcraft AviationG'day Mvjs. I was looking at the Jetcraft Aviation article with a view to turning it into a defunct airline, but delving into the matter a little it appears that it is soldiering on more-or-less intact as Toll Aviation (different address etc. but same ABN). Given that you have been working on the Toll Priority article, and that Toll Aviation flies for TP, I want your opinion on how to treat the Jetcraft article. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). PLEASE NOTE:
Fair use rationale for File:IATA Logo.svgThanks for uploading or contributing to File:IATA Logo.svg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Courcelles 05:24, 30 December 2010 (UTC) possible copyvio?Could you have a look at this section, and tell me if its a copyvio of this http://www.passia.org/ site (-> Palestine Facts & Info -> The Meaning of the Flag)? The reason I ask is that the English is basically copied verbatim, but seemingly is not copyrighted, however it is taken from the Arabic version on another page that is clearly copyrighted. I am not so well versed in copyright that I understand if this constitutes copyvio Koakhtzvigad (talk) 13:17, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

SteveBot (talk) 04:49, 24 March 2012 (UTC) July WMAU Melbourne MeetupHi, At last month's June meetup we discussed the idea of setting up a Training Course at a University of the Third Age (U3A) to be held in 2013 and named Becoming a Wikipedia editor. In order to get this course up and running we are calling for volunteers to help develop the idea, and either tutor part of the course, or provide one on one help to students in the class. All local Wikipedians are welcome to discuss this at our 11am meetup to be held this Sunday on 22 July. Please add your name to the attending list at Wikipedia:Meetup/Melbourne 23. Food and beverages are provided. Cuddy Wifter (talk) 02:49, 13 July 2012 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for October 23Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created. Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work. Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC) New Challenge for Oceania and AustraliaHi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Oceania/The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/The 5000 Challenge are up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. The Australia challenge would feed into the wider region one and potentially New Zealand could have a smaller challenge too. The main goal is content improvement, tackling stale old stubs and important content and improving sourcing/making more consistent but new articles are also welcome if sourced. I understand that this is a big goal for regular editors, especially being summertime where you are, but if you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Oceania and Australia like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1700 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for the region but fuelled by a series of contests to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. The Africa contest scaled worldwide would naturally provide great benefits to Oceania countries, particularly Australia and attract new editors. I would like some support from existing editors here to get the Challenges off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile and potentially bring about hundreds of improvements in a few weeks through a contest! Cheers.♦ --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:12, 24 November 2016 (UTC) Fair Use in Australia discussionAs an Australian Wikipedian, your opinion is sought on a proposal to advocate for the introduction of Fair Use into Australian copyright law.
