Hi. I believe the Gudban article has been placed on listing for a little too long. Is it possible for you to clean it up, or if not, give me some tips on what I could do to somehow speed up the process? Thank you. Auxerre dejufan (talk) 19:21, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
Hi Moneytrees, thanks for your quick revdel on Dogra. The user in question keeps re-adding the content; I've requested cv-revdel via the template for now, but you might want to take a look. Best, — Blablubbs(talk • contribs)20:25, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Ritchie333, I agree it looks a bit suspicious (in particular "subject of a scandalous lawsuit") but I couldn't find anything. Looking over the talk page of the creator, the two warnings they have for copyright aren't that serious (an unattributed translation and an unattributed in wiki copy), so I don't think there's anything to worry about. I did find some interesting articles, such as this one called "Impotence and Suing for Sex in Eighteenth-Century England" from Urology (journal) aka "The Gold Journal", and this website, which notes "The judge, however, based his decision to sustain the marriage on the testimony of two doctors who said they had cured Edward and were sure he could have sex." It seems like their actually might be enough information about impotency lawsuits among British peers for an engaging article, which I think is right up the alley of one of our acquaintances. Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI!14:52, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
Quite possibly so, considering my attention was drawn to a statement in Urology - "This left room for laymen, and especially women, to diagnose and interpret the condition according to their own devices." The latter is a billion dollar industry. AtsmeTalk📧15:16, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
I'll certainly do my best to rise to the occasion. Everywhere one turns there's material. For example, from [1] we learn that an estate was decorated with the help of the Dorset firm of Bastard Brothers, and [2] is full of potential hooks, such as
... that Mrs. Weld admonished her son for not coming out of the closet? ( Mrs. Weld, who lived with the newlyweds at Edward’s Lulworth Castle estate, “several times observed that [her son would] sit up by himself in his closet till one or two of the clock in the morning " She admonished him that “now he was married he had other business to do,”)
... that doctors believed that "If any part of this process linking nerve, blood, testes, penis, and prostate went awry, a man would be “broke and bankrupt in his bed-tackle"?
... that Mr. Beaufort decided to masturbate in front of a judge, two physicians, and three surgeons? (Various proofs were admissible, ranging from compurgation, in which a set number of witnesses testified to the potency of the accused, to the embarrassing trial by congress, in which the accused engaged in sexual intercourse or masturbation before an audience. Trial by congress was seldom used, although in Beaufort v. Beaufort, the defendant chose to demonstrate his virility by masturbating in front of a judge, two physicians, and three surgeons
... the the trial records of Weld v. Weld were turned into a poular form of pornography? (In 1732, shortly after Weld v. Weld left the Court of Arches, published records of the trial quickly became a popular form of pornography.)
😂 I see you've been taking your vitamins. Unfortunately, the article is now at AfD. We probably shouldn't let a great DYK get away, especially now that WP's top hooker rose to the occasion and laid 4 of the best hooks I've seen in a while right in our laps. AtsmeTalk📧01:29, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
@Ritchie333: Greetings. This [3] could be the "hook" you are looking for from Boston. See what you think. She has anticipated some of the content of your exchanges.--Po Mieczu (talk) 21:05, 31 August 2020 (UTC) PS, I have just noticed that the page numbers of the BULR article are sort of delicious too. --Po Mieczu (talk) 21:36, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
The closet hook would be perfect for April Fools. Let me also say that the article's interesting, but it needs a good copyedit if it's going to appear on Main Page. If you really get serious about this I'll do it, but I'll be too busy for a while. EEng02:04, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
Mass revert and TB needed IMHO
Can you (or another admin) mass revert this LiquidWhiz before he does further damage?
Could you look at it when you get a chance?[4]. How do I add a country code? Maybe if you correct it for me then I will use that as an guidance. - GizzyCatBella🍁14:48, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
Saint David Parish, New Brunswick/Saint Stephen Parish, New Brunswick
Having looked up the Wikipedia:Overquote article, I understand what you were trying to do. However, in the case of Saint David Parish you removed the only boundary description there is in the article.
I'm naturally loath to remove information but have seen something that I think would work well. There's some editing method that produces sections that can be toggled to show or hide their information. I've looked at the how-to but it went over my head. Do you know how to do this? G. Timothy Walton (talk) 02:01, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi - could you please assist. I have been chasing trying to get a section of my draft article restored. It appears that a copyright violation has occurred, although it is all my own work anyway, including alink to an external source containing a PDF. I intended to remove the offending link, but I notice that the section "World War 2" is missing along with the image that I uploaded to wikicommons. Everything is my own work, not copied from exterior works. Can you help me with what I need to do please, as I cannot seem to re-edit an older draft to get back everything I have written.
I have just copied and pasted from my original documentation, the section that was gone. Am I OK with content violation now or am I heading down an alley somewhere??
Much appreciated

Please moderate your language when filing statements like this. While we may all disagree with each other, no one was "violent". Your use of this word was wholly inappropriate and designed simply to heighten the drama. CassiantoTalk06:44, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
Hello Again...
I have re-written my entry rather than shifting the PDF. Could you please check if the copyright violation is now gone? When I publish changes, it remains red at the top, but this may be historic?
NiborJacks, It's still very similar to it's source (click on this link to see the comparison), so I removed the similar material, although not all of it. Do you happen to have a website? If you aren't able to figure out the licensing for the book then maybe you could place the text on your website and release that page under an acceptable license following WP:DONATETEXT. Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI!02:05, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
As you can see from the talk entry - I am editing on behalf of the author, as he is elderly and cannot fathom the syntax. I understand his deep knowledge and understanding of the subject here, and I think that is the issue - his "book writing skills". I have undertaken a much colder precis for him, which I think is closer to what is required, but may still require some tweaks.....
All the best - Chris
Most of the content cited in the article include the following sources1,2,3, 4, 5, 6 ,7 ,89 and 10 that make most of the content which was the article. Don't you think its practical only to remove only the specific content that violates copyright without those that are reliably sourced from publicly available sources that pass WP:GNG. These sources alone without any reference to copyrighted material pass to make an article to pass WP:N. These are genuine reliably referenced sources all in the public domain and clearly detailed to reliably reference the article. --waweruboyWaweruboy (talk) 13:32, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
thankyou for your feedback Moneytrees, i have cleaned up article to remove sources that have any issues related to copyright to rely on publicly available reliably sourced material. --waweruboyWaweruboy (talk) 14:23, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi User:onel5969. I was cleaning up to remove any copyrighted content and sources. Please are you able to advise on the specific things that are causing violation. cleaned up sources to remove copyright material but look forward to your feedback to help improve wikipedia from publicly reliably sourced material --waweruboyWaweruboy (talk) 15:06, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
You can't add copyrighted material, and then "work on it", the copyrighted material remains in the history, which is not allowed. When I first started on WP, I wrote the prose portions of my articles on MS Word, ensuring that there was no close paraphrasing or copyright violations, then posted it on WP. If you are working on an article, and it will take you some time, put {{construction}} at the top of the article, and this will prevent reviewers from taking action while you work on it. Hope this helps. And, Moneytrees, apologies for having this discussion on your talk page, but felt it was okay to answer Waweruboy. Please feel free to move the conversation to my talk page, or the article's talk page if you want to remove clutter.Onel5969TT me15:14, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi Onel5969 thankyou for your input. As per this, the sources of apparent violations including this is public news site by Daily Nation which is freely available for re-use. This one too 1 is a public government website with freely available content to use that is not copyrighted. As per this abeingo website lists its content available for free use, website is about luhya news blog with content freely available for use. Can you help expand this to address this issue. I relied on these freely available material to make edits.--waweruboyWaweruboy (talk) 15:25, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Waweruboy, We can't use content from Daily Nation, as their website says, "Your use of the Nation Site is for your own personal and non-commercial benefit only."- Wikipedia cannot use non commercial content. As for the other sites, material from them needs to be explicitly released under a license compatible with us; see WP:COMPLIC for a list. I am sorry if you feel that I made a mistake by creating Haulmont Technology page. I just re-edited the article to have it shorter and not looking like a copy of its sources. I understand that this page is a stub, and appreciate if someone can expand it.
I explained the reason behind its creating at Haulmont Technology talk page. Could you please take a look when it's convenient to you, and decide if you can remove speedy deletion notice. Please advise what shall I do next if I feel that the page helps users to navigate better through the topic of various JDKs and their applicability. Hello,
I hope I am posting this message correctly -- I've never used this forum before, but I am trying to add some biographical information to the page on Earl Zindars.
I am Earl Zindars's daughter, and the owner of his copyrights since his passing in 2005.
I am also the author of his biography on his website: www.zindars.com
How can I update his Wikipedia page with his biographical information so that it is not removed again?
Thank you,
