ISBNs
Hello, Mikeblas. As an editor experienced in editing book articles, I'd like to ask you whether it is better to add the ISBN-10 or the ISBN-13 to the infoboxes of such articles. Thanks. FreeKnowledgeCreator (talk) 08:31, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know. I've removed the books project tag from that talk page, as well. Books doesn't cover publishers, which are companies. -- Mikeblas (talk) 16:06, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
By inadvertently transcluding that userpage, you have mass mentioned a bunch of users that were linked on that userpage, including me. Just an FYI.—cyberpowerChat:Online15:15, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
You merged Into the river into Into the River. By not acknowledging the source of the content in the edit summary you were in breaking the creative commons license and breaching the copyright of the editors who contributed to the article. Always include the page name from which the text is coming in the edit summary.Stuartyeates (talk) 23:12, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
To add to the confusion, the history of the target article shows that Anthony Appleyard (talk·contribs) denied your request to perform a history merge because the articles have parallel history. Are you sure the prescriptive advice you're providing is always applicable? It's the first I've heard of this problem, and I'm having a hard time finding authoritative documentation of the issue. -- Mikeblas (talk) 13:20, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
The prescriptive advice I'm giving is based on the text of the message immediately above the save buttom (at least in my interface) it says 'By clicking the "Save page" button, you agree to the Terms of Use and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL with the understanding that a hyperlink or URL is sufficient for CC BY-SA 3.0 attribution.' You need to provide 'a hyperlink or URL is sufficient for CC BY-SA 3.0 attribution.' Stuartyeates (talk) 20:20, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
