UtherSRG (talk) 19:39, 19 January 2023 (UTC)AfC vs non-AfC draft space workWhile I appreciate the desire to use the draft space to initially create articles, if you don't want to go through the AfC process, then don't put the AfC tags on the draft. :) And definitely don't then submit it for review. :D Anyway, since you did do all of that, it was easier for me to use the AFCH tool to do the move after manually deleting the redirect that was in the way, instead if the manual move I would have had to do from RM/TR... and then the cleanup of the AFC tags and such... Anyway, good job on the article. I updated the benzyl bromide article to have a similar "distinguish" tag on it. Template:Year in 'country' changeHello Michael7604, I hope you're doing well 🙂 I recently reverted two edits you made to the Template:Year in the United States. All of these templates should have a pretty standard formatting: being a link to the country's history first, a timeline of their history (if available) second, and finally a list of years of that country. For clarity sake, I tend to not shorten these links so its clear what they link to, but I am willing to discuss that with you. Also, as far as I'm aware, no 'year' in United States politics and government article exists, and I really don't think one should, because if a government policy isn't notable enough to make it onto the main 'year' in the United States article, it probably shouldn't have it's own wiki page. I do want to give credit where it is due though, and thank you for making that great looking year in U.S. territories template, and putting it on every year in the United States page- it looks great! Sorry for the long message, I couldn't think of a way to shorten it, cheers! Johnson524 13:53, 26 November 2023 (UTC) ArbCom 2023 Elections voter messageHello! But the major refs I find, such as doi:10.1002/9780470638859 and doi:10.1016/C2021-0-02076-9, all seem to use the phrase organic name reaction not name organic reaction. Any objection to renaming the subcat to Category:Organic name reactions? DMacks (talk) 19:37, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
ArylYou might ask around, but in my world, pyridyl is not an aryl. IUPAC implies as much. March, which is the bible for most of us, repeatedly refers to aryl, but invariably as a derivative of phenyl. I'm guessing that most organic chemists would object to pyridyl being aryl. Org. Syn, an open-source series overseen by the organic cognoscenti, refers to aryl >500x. A quick spot check of Org Syn again indicates that aryl is used exclusively as phenyl derivatives. --Smokefoot (talk) 13:42, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
List of years in the United States Virgin Islands moved to draftspaceThanks for your contributions to List of years in the United States Virgin Islands. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and Effectively empty - including the 2 'blue' years. Create individual year articles first..
