copyright correction 2 images

Hi Midnight comet, I received your message that my two uploaded images have copyright issues. I am not sure why this is happening now as these are cleaned personal pictures the details of which are listed in the meta data. I have tried to read the copyright help page and look for the right place to edit or correct the situation on the image info file in Commons. Not sure why this issue only pops up with certain images. misplaced copyright message, repeated post

I'm not sure whether the image I uploaded has copywright permission or not, but I would be very surprised if it didn't, as it is on Mika's homepage and advertises the album. If it isn't, then I apologize.

I got the copyright issue. I took the Pictures MYSELF with my own camera. Why would you delete my pictures that I personally took!!!

We don't need to delete them right away; you just need to add the appropriate tag with the appropriate licensing information (this guide can help you). If you actually want them to be deleted, then just add {{db-author}} to the images. --[midnight comet] [talk] 19:22, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

I dont know how to tag them this is the first time Ive upload pictures to Wikipedia. They are not copyright in the sense that Ive never copyrighted them. Book of Shadows

Hello! I saw you reverted an edit on Book of Shadows. I just got rollback privillages myself and I was about to revert it aswell but you were a little quicker than I am. However, since I am new at this and that was about to be my first rollback, I want to make sure I understand the reasons correctly; if you dont mind helping me. I was about to revert it because the change removed cited critical information with no reason why in the change log. Is that accurate? I just want to make sure I had the logic right. Recent Final Fantasy XIV revert and warning - what?

Copyright Issues

I am relatively new to Wikipedia, and I am not sure quite what to do in this situation. (Note: I HAVE read the message at the top of the page about image deletion, but am still confused.)You posted on my talk page about copyright problems with a picture I uploaded, but the thing is I didn't know how to classify it's licensing. I took it from the Russian Wikipedia on the basis that surely if it is on one WIkipedia it should be OK for another, and it can be found at ru:Иссыкское письмо. As such, I did not put anything in the licensing field, because I didn't know what to do about it. Please advise me on how to tag it, there is no information I can find on importing pictures from one Wikipedia to another. - The speedy deletion runs out 2nd September, please reply before then on either here or my talk page.

I can't figure out the exact licensing tag that's on the ru: image since I don't know any Russian, and there's no interwiki on the ru: licensing tag, however since it's a GDFL license, you might want to tag it with one of these and just say that it's from the Russian Wikipedia. --[midnight comet] [talk] 13:15, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
