Can you share your views on whether to keep the article List of Hindi songs recorded by Asha Bhosle or split this into smaller articles? I would be grateful if you help us retaining the article as it is. Because, it is based on all the songs of a singer in a single language. If articles like this splittens into 3-5 separate articles, many unwanted articles will be created which absolutely have no relevance.

Cleopatra

Wikipedia exists to be a neutral party demonstrating facts. The quote "I am against the film because it is pushing an Afrocentric agenda, regardless of the historical accuracy of whether Cleopatra was Black or White," demonstrates Monica Hanna claiming that the pseudohistory is made when she says "Regardless of the historical accuracy." 3vvww661 (talk) 06:37, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Pseudohistory has a very specific definition. An actor playing a role doesn't make this a "pseudohistorical". Virtually no major source has called this a piece of pseudohistory, and there is a reason for that. Afrocentrism is also not a pseudohistorical approach. Robert Todd Carroll as quoted on the Wikipedia page for Pseudohistory has stated that

Pseudohistory is purported history which:

• Is on a mission, not a quest, seeking to support some contemporary political or religious agenda rather than find out the truth about the past
• Often denies that there is such a thing as historical truth, clinging to the extreme skeptical notion that only what is absolutely certain can be called 'true' and nothing is absolutely certain, so nothing is true
• Often maintains that history is nothing but mythmaking and that different histories are not to be compared on such traditional academic standards as accuracy, empirical probability, logical consistency, relevancy, completeness, fairness or honesty, but on moral or political grounds
• Is selective in its use of ancient documents, citing favorably those that fit with its agenda, and ignoring or interpreting away those documents which do not fit
• Considers the possibility of something being true as sufficient to believe it is true if it fits with one's agenda
• Often maintains that there is a conspiracy to suppress its claims because of racism, atheism or ethnocentrism, or because of opposition to its political or religious agenda

And African Queens noticeably contains some amount of these traits. Dr. Monica Hanna is the most credible source to cite this from, and she as an associate professor and the acting Dean of the College of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) she is a major source, just like the government of Egypt, just like the former antiquities minister & Egyptologist Zahi Hawass. 3vvww661 (talk) 16:17, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Follow-up: I propose and argue that the statement "They are imposing the identity politics of the 21st century and appropriating the ancient Egyptian past, just as the Eurocentrists and the far-right in Europe are doing." on the article African Queens should stay as well, because of Wikipedia's Policy towards no biased POV.

Directly quoting, "We should then list all points of view, according to their importance, and, if possible, be precise as to who holds them. There exist some cases where the vast majority of political parties, politicians and journalists hold a certain opinion, while a sizeable minority do not: both views should be stated." In addition to Wikipedia's own article on Pseudohistory agreeing with the definition, and the section with Adele James and Gharavi's defenses, having both perspectives makes sense with Wikipedia's policy and the current definitions of pseudohistory. The problem isn't exclusively over what defines something as pseudohistory. It is part of it, and since the wording "pseudohistorical" wasn't used or even alluded to in your source, it shouldn't be added. Furthermore, it can come across as original research. You are forming your own opinion on the definition from Wikipedia's sources and projecting it onto the article, which can look like you are forming your own opinion on the subject matter.

As for the second quote, I didn't remove the material, I just kept it brief. It's not good practice to load an article with quotes. Honestly, I wouldn't be opposed to cutting down some of the others in the article. Maxx-♥ talk and coffee ☕ 21:11, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion if a section has a lot of quotes, creating a new section for quotes with their topics of interests specifically is ideal practice, which I did in James’ response.

A Twitter trend has been created because of this show where native Egyptian people create a half-and-half picture of themselves and an ancient historical piece of art, always a face to mirror theirs, to demonstrate their similarities to their ancestors. New quotes and new sections would be justified in their own creation for this— as a fellow editor, I would be grateful for your help with recording this!

In many sources for the Egyptian peoples’ response to the show, they refer to African Queens as “Falsifying Egyptian history” “Erasing Egyptian history” and “Spreading false and deceptive facts [about the Egyptian civilization].” I believe these quotes allude to the concept of psuedohistory and that from the perspective of the Egyptian people, this would be their opinion. It is their voice and likely their opinion because of their culture and its falsification by the show.

As for the point of original research— I believe I am only following the definitions of a precedent built by more reputable sources. I do not believe I am sociopathic-ally smart, or entitled to throw my subjective opinion into anything, that is why I linked the article to you. 3vvww661 (talk) 22:47, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
