User talk:Matt Deres/Archive 5Disambiguation link notification for April 30Hi. When you recently edited List of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero episodes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sheik (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Disambiguation link notification for September 3Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 14:35, 3 September 2012 (UTC) Thank you!You deserved a barnstar if I did. Nonetheless, I hope you'll accept my sincere thanks - work's so much lighter when it is shared, and I agree that behind-the-scenes work on something as valuable as the RD is satisfying for its own sake. There are many who don't seem to appreciate what a welcome the RD can be to many users (I've seen comments at Village Pump etc), yet I'll bet there are a fair number of new editors who make their first steps on the RD, then move to content (hard to track if that shift is accompanied by creation of a username). Cheers! -- Scray (talk) 01:41, 8 November 2012 (UTC) DYK nomination of For sale: baby shoes, never wornHello! Orlady (talk) 23:51, 16 May 2013 (UTC) You're welcome. I knew we had to have this article, and it had to be good. Glad to have helped. Daniel Case (talk) 01:17, 17 May 2013 (UTC) Disambiguation link fixing one-day contestI have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 03:06, 18 November 2013 (UTC) Speedy deletion declined: InspirerHello Matt Deres. Comment on the Gazetteer IdeaThere is, of course, the "political" problem that if you propose more than one of these things at a time (e.g. schools and places) the opposition to the concept doubles as the two interest groups support each other. A piecewise approach would probably deliver better results. RomanSpa (talk) 17:02, 29 June 2014 (UTC) archivingThanks. I'm (finally) back. —Steve Summit (talk) 15:18, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Elvira's Movie Macabre: Movie linksI apologize in advance if I am doing anything wrong. I made an account so that I can get this message to you. I remembered seeing this movie but could never remember the name. Why this movie stood out so much is the screaming of the pigs. Thank You! for making this article. It helped me find this movies name. In return for making this article & helping me, here is the link to said movie. I am fairly good at finding things. I shale look at the list & see if I can’t find a link to the other movies. If there is any other way of dropping you a line please let me know. Again, Thank You for the article & understanding! Regarding the recent revert you made to Wikipedia:Reference desk/Miscellaneous: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. 147.126.10.21 (talk) 22:30, 23 October 2016 (UTC) Hello thank you for your response on the reference desk page , I had a further question (about DOH), please have a look and let me know if you have further opinions! much appreciated! : ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.116.19.172 (talk) 11:27, 31 October 2016 (UTC) ExcelUnfortunately, it didn't do what I needed; I must have described it wrongly, or followed your instructions wrongly. I'm not as inclined to offer them any accommodations as I was before you did that. However, I'm still curious to hear their position on our article, if for nothing else than to understand Axact's PR strategy. There have been a bunch of lame attempts to whitewash the article, but this is the first time anyone has actually come out and declared themselves as an employee. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 21:41, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

Patience?I don't Have Patience. I don't Know any other Website for these Questions, so Why can't You give Me your Honest Opinion Seriousy True after Watching the Conversation between [Pardhoo & Prakash]? I should've asked This question A long time Back: Asadhyudu is an Indian Movie on Youtube with Telugu Language & English Subtitles maybe too. Prakash and Thambi are [F-A-Holes Criminals along With their Henchmen] terrorizing the City, but 1 day, Thambi gets into fight with [Pardhoo main hero a tourist from a different city]. Pardhoo kills Thambi hilariously, but Pardhoo finds out later about Thambi's death. Pardhoo should not apologize to Prakash because Prakash is a goon. When Pardhoo apologizes to Prakash, Prakash probably says, "I did not expect you to have courage to come straight to my place but I still want to kill you." 1. Main Question: Why does Prakash still want to kill Pardhoo? Is it because Thambi was evil? Is it because the public is happy about Thambi's death? Is it because Prakash's evil empire collapsed half-way due to Thambi's death?(98.239.113.209 (talk) 16:33, 27 November 2017 (UTC)).

Regards,183.192.59.73 (talk) 07:42, 10 August 2018 (UTC) On B&W moviesWith regard to your "sniff test" remark here, now that I had some time I decided to examine the 64 movies that my previous computations gave as the number of B&W releases in the year 1980. I had assumed previously that there would not be a significant number of double-counted movies, i.e. those shown as both color and B&W because they contained segments of each. But in fact 27 of the 64 were in this category. Those titles were: Agee (1980); At the Fountainhead (of German Strength) (1980); Barnes & Barnes: Fish Heads (1980); The Big Red One (1980); Blue Suede Shoes (1980); Broken Nights (1980); Ecstatic Stigmatic (1980); Fantastic (1980); Fist of Fear, Touch of Death (1980); Fixation (1980); Generations of Resistance (1980); Ghosts of Cape Horn (1980); Journeys from Berlin/1971 (1980); The Last Prom (1980); Life Dances On... (1980); The Life and Times of Rosie the Riveter (1980); Lion of the Desert (1980); Memories of Duke (1980); The Mirror Crack'd (1980); Musing (1980); Popeye (1980); Raging Bull (1980); The Sea Wolves (1980); Send in the Clowns (1980); Tell Me a Riddle (1980); This Is America Part 2 (1980); The Trials of Alger Hiss (1980). I have not attempted to look up their IMDB pages to find further information. I did look up the other 37, the ones shown only as B&W. (I did this manually, so there may be occasional errors.) And as I suspected, most were documentaries or shorts. Specifically, there were:
And that leaves 6 features for your sniff test:
Now that the page has been semi-protected again, I hope you will post find this interesting enough to post part or all of this data in the thread for me as you see fit. --76.69.46.228 (talk) 22:50, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
