Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Martin Van Ballin'. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. A tag has been placed on File:John Grimek Posing.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Islam and humanity

Underscores "_" are substituted for spaces on Wikipedia link URLs. They can be safely (and should be) removed. I took them out of your "See also" link in Islam and humanity Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 03:44, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It appears you saved your edit to that just before I did! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 03:46, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Fyddlestix (talk) 06:10, 14 May 2016 (UTC) @Fyddlestix: thanks for the tipĀ :) Martin Van Ballin' (talk) 06:14, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Noble Drew

When I last looked at the sources, this seemed to be actually part of his name rather than an honorific. You might want to check. Thanks for your work. Doug Weller talk 08:04, 14 May 2016 (UTC) @Doug Weller: Thanks for catching that, I didn't realize that. Apologies for any inconvenience I caused, thanks for fixing it back! Hello, I'm Jim1138. An edit you recently made to Gender neutrality seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 00:13, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Maiden and married names

The first sentence of the source states "for many". If "for many" isn't supported, is "for some"? There are numerous sources given in the source. Is that not support enough? Jim1138 (talk) 06:00, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Question: does someone need to go through each of your edits? Jim1138 (talk) 06:06, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Jim1138: The source didn't seem authoritative, and didn't actually state what "many" means. I thought it didn't fit, but I'll read up more on Wiki source guidelines. What would be the ideal way to handle this, when the site is blog like, or editorial? One of the linked sources states 90% of women take the name, and the only source for saying "many" face a "difficult decision" was that the author saw several forum posts of women asking if they should take the name. Unicode 9.0 Templates

Please stop updating Unicode templates before Unicode 9.0 has been released. Every time that a new version of Unicode is released a group Wikipedians have to go update hundreds or pages and templates. In order to coordinate this work we have one simple rule, not to update any pages until after the version of Unicode has been officially released. Thank you for your understanding. BabelStone (talk) 19:30, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, can you link to that rule? I wasn't aware of it. Thanks Martin Van Ballin' (talk) 19:31, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
