Brian Quintana
Cameron Scott has assumed ownership of Brian Quintana and is in an edit war again. Can we revert page to your last edit and Protect page a little longer. We have gone back and forth for years on Quintana and finally reached a consensus. Sorry that Cameron Scott does'nt like that he's a Producer (albeit controversial) or that he has ties to Oprah. His comments about A Better Chance being a black charity or pre-dating Oprah are absurd. She adopted the charity in 2001 and it was renamed Oprah Winfrey's A Better Chance. Even the most cursory search proves that. Clearly he has a conflict of interest. Who else makes 10 changes in one day to any page. I am not Brian as he suggests and it is against Wiki policy to insert names in notes. No one likes this guy, but the national press corps does support the article. There appear to be a handful of editors (cameron scott, geniac, tabercil) who do not like him. Please escalate if needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.166.130.214 (talk) 10:56, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

There are numerous problems with the article, they include but are not limited to:
Oprah Winfrey's A Better Chance recruited him at age fifteen to attend the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut.
There is a better chance charity and Oprah did donate to it, but she does not own or run the charity. The only reliable source on the matter in the article says "an organisation" so the article was changed to reflect this
Jon Peters' top executive and co-producer 6where he helped re-launch the Superman franchise, oversaw marketing and communications, and developed new business
Yes, he was a producer - none of the sources use the weasel word top and none of them describe what he did.
and so on and so on - I notice looking at the history, that a number of editors have tried to clean up the article and it is constantly reverted to a poor sourced, poorly worded version that seems to better suit the subject. As for ownership of the article, I wash my hands of it, it's clearly under the control of the subject or people connected to him and it's a waste of doing working on it because any corrections or attempts to make it conform to the MOS are instantly reverted by socks or IP. --Cameron Scott (talk) 10:52, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Long time no speak, sorry I've been so busy. I've updated my admin coaching page if you're willing to take a look. Hope you're well. Regards, --—Cyclonenim | Chat 17:35, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

We may need to protect again or submit for dispute resolution. The same editors with the same apparent conflicts of interest keep tampering with this page. I am addressing those favorable and those against. This version was the consensus after the deletion for debate. Let's leave it alone for a month or so and see what changes. The ample sources cited appear to support and discredit this guy. We don't have to like him, but let's be fair. If you have edited his page in the past please refrain from future edits or having others act on your behalf. There are plenty of other qualified editors to catch any inconsitencies and clean up the page in the future.
Your wiki needs you
Ciao, Malinaccier. As you're probably aware, we're undergoing something of an admin drought at present. Some of us have started compiling lists of potential victims administrators at this WT:RFA thread, but we need competent and experienced reviewers to vet potential candidates, and to nominate those suitable. As an RfA graybeard with many successful nominations under your belt, would you consider taking a look? Mahalo, Skomorokh 17:02, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Hey. If you get a chance, could you consider unprotecting this? It's been fully-protected for several months, and I think the dispute has mostly died down. –Juliancolton | Talk18:52, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Hello, Malinaccier. You have new messages at Mjroots's talk page. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Should I respond to Irbisgrief. I'll admit that I didn't go researching "correct" answers, but answered the questions posed candidly. It turns out that my gut feeling was correct anyway. Admin tools are not there to be used to gain a personal advantage over someone who doesn't have access to them but are simply an extra item of equipment to use for the good of Wikipedia. Mjroots (talk) 18:40, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Did you notice this edit? The editor claims to be a sockpuppet on his talk page. Although there is a section headed "indefinate block" on the talk page there is no template stating this as fact. Is this editor on a indef block? Should there be the appropriate template displayed? I notice that Shalom Yechiel exercised a RTV. Mjroots (talk) 04:59, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
I've created an Admin sub-page, linked from my user page. Please feel free to add any useful links to it that you think will help me in performing admin duties. Mjroots (talk) 21:56, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Admin Coaching
Hi there Malinaccier,
A little birdie told me that you may have a spot open for admin coaching. I underwent an RfA fairly recently, and I feel that having admin coaching would substantially improve my chances of success. If you are interested/free, please drop me a note. Regards, MacMedtalkstalk01:28, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Can you bump down the level of protection? You're leaving us in a bad spot because several uninvolved editors keep that article updated with information. If something turns out like a Typhoon Durian, it needs to be updated.Mitch32(The Password is...See here!)16:09, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
I'm sticking with my decision as of now. If you want the article to become unprotected earlier, then you can help to facilitate discussion on the talk page of the article. Thanks, Malinaccier (talk)01:26, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Its a project dispute, doesn't involve just this article. Obviously causing a factual harm for actually important info doesn't matter.Mitch32(The Password is...See here!)

I can't image any way that something you nominate even as early as today will pass before Wednesday. If anything you've already nominated passes between now and Wednesday, or you still have things you haven't added to your submission pages, now is the time to do it! This half of the round ends this Wednesday (September 30) at 23:59 (UTC), and the bottom four contestants will be eliminated. The top four will keep their score from the first half, and continue competing through October 31. Good luck everyone!

2009 PST Fully locked
Hello. It is come to my attention that we users can't edit in the 2009 Pacific Typhoon Season due to editing war. Can you please remove the fully locked in the article. If there's any users that in edit war each other, this can be settle by just blocking them. Otherwise, we other users must not be included. thanks. User:Jpuligan_12 28 - September - 2009 0143 (UTC)
You locked the Neighbours page when I reported it for excess vandalism. This was due to expire today, yet the template is still displaying on the page? I've just logged out and can confirm that the page is still locked. Now that the page has been locked for two days I'm hoping that the person that kept posting the uncited and untrue rumours has had time to cool down. Nevertheless I have this page on my watchlist and won't hesitate to ask for help again if it is required.
Was it you that unlocked the Neighbours page? If it was then thanks very much for your help with blocking and unblocking the page. Vandals are a real pest.
I'm starting to think the 2009 PTS page needs to be unprotected. There's anarchy at the talk page at the moment, and we can deal with edit warriors individually. –Juliancolton | Talk16:13, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
