Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:41, 22 August 2008 (UTC) So theres way too many dumb peopleqwho dont know that Syriac = Syrian = Assyrian. Gabr-el 05:53, 21 October 2008 (UTC) Acutally, the dumb people here is you. First of all, it has never been proven and will never be either, that Syrian = Assyrian, there is theories and theories doesn't equal truth, and if you have read for example science you would know this, obviously you haven't. Furthermore, we are not speaking in terms of 5000 years, welcome to reality, welcome to the 21th century, what defines a ethnicity isn't wheter a couple of Greeks called a people Assyrian or Syrian or Aramean. Maybe you should stay to your religious topics, cause on this, you are out on deep water. The TriZ (talk) 10:44, 21 October 2008 (UTC) Syriac = Syrian = Aramean. Assyria and Syria has nothing to do with eachother. ‘Syria’ is a truncated form of ‘Assyria,’ and it simply serves as a reminder that geographical Syria was once ruled by the ancient Assyrian empire, and that Syria is not derived from "Assyria". You called me dumb, I called you back dumb. Let ous skip calling each other such things in the future. Oh, and don't play that game, you clearly mentioned me, [1]. The TriZ (talk) 00:46, 26 October 2008 (UTC) History of the Assyrians and Assyrian PeopleShlama Malik, user:dbach is at it again in completely changing this page to meet his negligent views. He has added all of the flags onto the assyrian people page without any conversation wahtsoever. This page is strictly about the assyrians and not a stupid laundry list of villages who claim otherwise. Please get an admin to block this user he is constantly disrupting our project and changing sources and information around. He has significantly changed both the history of the assyrians and the assyrian peoples page, this has got to stop someone needs to block this user from doing this. He has no discussion consensus and when you try to talk to him he dissmisses all claims. He is very narrow minded. All of the hard work that has been put into this project is being severally tampered with and changed to meet a incompetent third party who doesnt know squat about this topic. God Speed! Orthodox ChurchI have read one of your comments regarding the Assyrian or Syrian Orthodox Church. The link you found was from a blog. Here is a link from a more trustworthy site. I think this might interest you. http://www.christiansofiraq.com/joseph/reply2.html Ninevite (talk) 05:13, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Shlama Meeakrah, I was viewing the Wiki Assyria project page and I came across to Assyrians in Ottoman culture under articles to be created. I found a very relevant book to start this article here [[2]] or [[3]] and here [[4]] I just wanted to let you know, I will leave the same message for other aturayeh and perhaps we can come up with a list of books and sources to start the article. Assyrian/Chaldean/Syriac articleThe ACS article should not be moved but keep it's current ACS title. The text below the title could only mention the name Assyrians or Assyrians/Syriacs. It is indeed a really hard issue for the few of us to decide what to do when our politicians and leaders are that backward and can't even come along with the name issue. When it comes to other articles, depending on the situation one will either state Assyrian, Chaldean or Syriac and link the name to the ACS article where the ACS article below the title could only have Assyrian in it, excluding the religion part where Nestorian (ACOE), Jacobite (Syriac Orthodox & Catholic) and Chaldean is mentioned. This sounds fair to me and more or less neutral.--Yohanun (talk) 17:46, 25 December 2008 (UTC) Shimit OmtanI want to ask you something, the current standing to move the Assyrian/Chaldean/Syriac/Babylonian/Sumerian/Aramaean/Iraqi/Mehsheehahyah/Nestorian/Jacobite/Syrian/Akkadian/Maronite/Phoenecian/Aramaic/Mallabar/Melkite name back to Assyrian people is 6-3, clearly a consensus has been reached but someone has removed it from Wikipedia Requested Moves for whatever reason. Can you place it back on requested moves I am not sure how to go about the process, the directions are here [[5]] but they are a little confusing. Here is the link clearly showing what side has won [[6]] its a little bit lower than the start of the paragraph. Provide this link for the page as proof that a unanimous decsion has been reached 6-3 with the overwhelming majority wanting it back to Assyrian People. GodSpeed! Undo his edit and provide this source from Nuri Kino's offical website stating he is Assyrian here [7]. Click on the about tab and it will specifically state he is only Assyrian and not Syriac. Provide this source right after the word Assyrian to stop this POV pushing. Best Regards Ninevite (talk) 20:32, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
EdessaHere is a link I found clearly stating that Edessa and Agbar are assyrian, take a look at it [8] and [9] This link will be helpful for your argument. Ninevite (talk) 19:29, 26 January 2009 (UTC) re:Assyrian/Syriac issueI cannot locate the post on the Ethnic conflicts noticeboard. Perhaps the reason you haven't received an answer is because no one can locate your post? I haven't fully investigated, but perhaps your draft wasn't saved, or the server had a hiccup, or perhaps even someone has reverted your post? Anyway, I'd still recommend posting to that noticeboard. If that doesn't work, you may want to contact some of the admins you were working with before, or consider some of the dispute resolution steps. I hope this is somewhat helpful ;) -Andrew c [talk] 02:43, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

ShalamaGreetings...it always pleases me to see more Syriacs/Assyrians on wikipedia. I'm glad that we are becoming more prominent on wikipedia. I hate it when people refer to us Assyrians as arabs so thanks for trying to preserve our identity. Feel free to visit my userpage(and leave a message on my talk). I am in the process of making a guestbook so if its up, sign it when you vist:)Thanks.SchnitzelMannGreek. 17:18, 23 June 2009 (UTC) Iraq war detailed mapIf you are going to add towns to the map, you must give sources that back the claim that the town in question is held by Iraqi gov.,ISIS, KRG or others. For that reason I removed the last towns you added. Regards,--HCPUNXKID 22:28, 12 June 2014 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for June 17Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Syriac Military Council, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rabia (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Qaraqosh Protection Committee & Iraqi TurkmenLook, I dont have anything in favour of Turkmen or against Assyrians, but it has no logic and it would be a clear example of double standards to remove the Iraqi Turkmen from the map in Tuz Khurmato while maintaining the Qaraqosh Protection Committee in Bakhdida & Bartella, as the three towns are in control of Kurdish Peshmerga forces, although with Turkmen militiamen in Tuz Khurmato and Assyrian militiamen in Bakhdida & Bartella. I hope you understand and support this NPOV policy, leaving apart ideologies. Regards, --HCPUNXKID 22:28, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
