Hello, welcome to Wikipedia.
I'm curious about your user name Magalhães . Isn't the Portugese version of Magallanes? Are you a portugese speaker or filipino?

Hi Justox,
Great that you have some images you can upload! You can do two things: You can upload them on the English Wikipedia, or you can upload them on "Commons". The advantage of the first is that it is a little bit easier the first time, because you already have a user name here, the advantage of the second option is that users of all Wikipedia's (in each language) can use your image.
Using Option 1, Go to "upload file" on the left of your screen, browse to your photo, provide a decription of the image (including the fact that you created the photo yourself, assuming you did) and choose one of the available licences. The best (if you made the picture yourself) would be to choose "PD: (Self made): Donate to the public domain/release all rights" and then press the button "Upload File" and your finished
Using Option 2 Go to Commons and create a user login just as you did for the English Wikipedia (only necessary the first upload). The best would be to use the same nickname as you have here. After that the procedure is almost the same. Go to "Upload File", browse to your picture, write description. In the description you should add a category, so the people can find your image: for example [[Category:Philippines]], choose a license (For example "Own work, release all rights" and press upload. This image can now be used in Wikipedia the same way as can all other images.
Ooh... I think a Cebu City map would be too much for me to handle making myself, with 81 barangays and streets all over. Sorry, I'm not sure what else to suggest but to search for a map on Google and hope to find something that's not copyrighted. Coffee15:39, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
My RfA
Hi, I would like to express my gratitude for your participation at my recent RfA. The final vote was 68/21/3 and resulted in me becoming an admin!
Hi! May I know if you are Jeroen Hellingman in bohol.ph. I've read a lot of the articles at bohol.ph, and even used some as reference in articles. Hence, the interest.--Pinay0617:57, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I am not the Jeroen of Bohol.ph. Jeroen is a very common first name in The Netherlands ;) I do know somebody, who knows Jeroen Hellingman however. It's a small world. I see that you uploaded many photos of Bohol. Very nice. As written in my reply on commons, I also have some more pictures available from landmarks and churches in Bohol. I will upload them soon. Hi! Just though of letting you know that I've finally touched base with Jeroen Hellingman (also from Netherlands) at bohol.ph. He has some very good resources. Check out Project Gutenberg of the Philippines. Maybe I can hook you both up, too. Let me know. Best regards.--Pinay0616:18, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info. I missed this reply somehow. That website is indeed a very good source. I will start reading it to see whether is contains usefull stuff for use on Wikipedia. Magalhães08:07, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
locator maps for Philippine Tarsier and Chocolate Hills
You did make a comment which helped me decide on making the 2 articles separate. Anyway, it was invaluable, and Sandugo is the very first few articles I created. Hence, the special thanks for all those who helped...
USC Talamban pic
Hi! Can I use your University of San Carlos Talamban picture in the University of San Carlos article? How to use it since it is in Netherlands version. Please help. What other pictures do you have of Cebu and Bohol?--Guest81804:18, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I have uploaded the picture to commons, using the same name. This means you can just include it in the article by using [[Image:University of San Carlos Talamban.jpg]]. I have many photos available of Cebu and Bohol. A couple of them are already uploaded to either the Netherlands version or commons. You can find them on this page. When the picture is on the Dutch wikipedia, you just have to upload it to commons. All of them are Public Domain, as far as I remember. Magalhães15:36, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, that wouldn't be me. I've been to San Francisco a lot, but I've never lived there. Filipinos are all over the place, though. --Guest81823:31, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have a lot of photo's but do not know whether they are really interesting enough to upload. Also, I do not know the name of some of the buildings that are on the pictures. I will try to do a couple this weekend. I am extremely busy, because I am changing job and buying and selling a house. Magalhães21:16, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Its more an art than a science IMO. I tend to treat species as low importance except for really famous ones (like dodos), familes as either mid or high, orders as high, and just a few articles are top. As for quality, you had the right idea with the eagle. The swallow article was nudging towards b, there was plenty of info there, but to my mind it was too poorly organised and there were too many gaps. But it isn't worth worrying about too much. I tend to only rate articles when I'm too fried to write them! Sabine's Sunbirdtalk18:40, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
