User talk:Loganberry/Archive3Re: Peter ChingokaHi Loganberry, Myself, I wouldn't tend to document when someone had been arrested and released without charge after a few hours. However, I probably wouldn't revert it either. The reason I reverted your version was that it said he had been charged, not just arrested. Stephen Turner (Talk) 08:23, 8 December 2005 (UTC) Kiritimati or Xmas IslandI do confirm that provisional jets is a mistranslation. Provisional airlines flights is perhaps better. I do confirm that Air Kiribati chartered one weekly flight to Aloha Airlines (very early on sunday morning). When the service of Aloha stopped, it was replaced from time to time by some flights on little jets, before a regular flight was reinstated last October by Air Pacific. On this flight, Air Kiribati charters 12 PAX. Marshman was (a long time ago) there: I also confirm that Air Kiribati not only charters for passengers but also for freight. It's very expensive for the Government, but as most Shops and Utilities are governmental, and few ships available, air freight is made (from HNL to Xmas) mainly by freight in provisions (and of pet fish from Xmas to HNL). And I have just been there to confirm all that (not in the seventies...Enzino 18:24, 5 January 2006 (UTC) Whole life tariffHi, I agree with your concern about Harry Roberts' presence in the table which adorns the aforementioned article. I've made an alternative suggestion, and added two further prisoners whose presence within the table is dubious (albeit for different reasons). Regards! Bentley Banana 14:22, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Recycling AfDYou previously voted keep on an AfD for LJ Drama. It was re-nominated to AfD out of spite here, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/LJ Drama, and I thought you might like to consider voting again. Hi Loganberry, Thanks for your note. I may have erred by reverting that edit. In my defence, at the time I did, it was immediately after he had left the tour, and there was no indication how long he was going to be away. I also felt that it was out of proportion to the rest of the article (which doesn't have much recent stuff at all). And finally, I thought it was distasteful to put it in the sentence next to his wife, which seemed to prejudge what the unknown personal issue was. I think one of the weakest things about Wikipedia is the way that news stories instantly get added to people's articles with no sense of perspective as to their true importance, mistaking immediacy for importance, and way out of proportion to the rest of the article. However, this one probably has proved important enough that something should be included. Stephen Turner (Talk) 10:19, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Javagal SrinathI am in Indian cricket fan and you must realise that the bowler opening the bowling in tests/ODI's in the late nineties with Srinath was Venkatesh Prasad, who wasn't all that great. So, effectively, Srinath was the only strike bowler. So, nothing wrong with this.
Well, this is obviously POV.
Only the World Cup story is true and should remain in the original article
Javagal SrinathHi, I am a big fan of Javagal Srinath and I have followed his career, especially his bowling pace.In 1996,Srinath was recorded at 157 kph against Zimbabwe in the 1st One day International match,in S Africa. The then worlds fastest bowler,Allan Donald was clocked at the highest pace of 147kph.That would mean that Srinath,if not the worlds fastest at that time, was easily amongst the 2-3 fastest bowlers of the world, with Donald and Waqar. In 1999,after his shoulder injury,in the World Cup,Srinath was officially clocked at 149.6kph which was the second fastest delievery of the tournament, against Australia. The fastest delievery was bowled by Shoib Akhtar of Pakistan which was at 154 kph.It clearly showed that even with age catching up and injury having eaten up his pace,Srinath was still easily one of the worlds fastest. In 2003 World Cup,Srinath was clocked at 143 kph, when his contemporaries like Donald and Waqar were struggling to clock 135kph. Even then,Srinath was never recognized as one of histories fastest bowler, which he certainly was.I will be thankful to you if you can bring these facts to light to your readers. And I would also appreciate if you could follow up Srinath's career, especially his bowling speed. And if you can, please send a copy of this letter to Javagal Srinath. Many thanks, Amit Anshu

Worcestershire CCCHi, I see you uploaded an image to this page last year. You do not appear to have added a fair use rationale on the image page, I suggest you take a look here otherwise the image will have to be deleted. --Wisden17 17:11, 5 June 2006 (UTC) Brookie here - I see that you have a lot to do with Cricket - do you know anything that could be contributed to the above article? (Untitled comment)Hi Brookie, I've had some contact with you before so i figured you'd be a good person to go to with my issue. There is a page that has been deleted five times, it's for the band Hollywood Undead. There is a user, I'm not sure if he's an administrator or not but he wants to delete it and protect it from re-creation because he doesn't the notability for it. I disagree wholeheartedly. The band is currently signed to Interscope Records and are recording their debut album through the Myspace Records imprint. If that isn't notable enough, that's kind of sad. Thank you much.
