Marmalade

You probably happened upon the above article almost by chance with your modest, but appreciated edit. On inspection, I discover you have a passion for cricket - easily, incomparably, the best sport in the world ever (no POV from me, of course). However, if you have any interest at all, the present Marmalade article is strewn with fancurft, hear'say and other unsourced bollocks. I fancy trying to improve this, but need an ally or two, to make it work. It is probably outside of your usual remit, and I will not take any offence at all if you decline to lend a hand. Just a thought. Best wishes from a truly pathetic opening batsman, hopeless wicketkeeper (dropped everything - including my cup of tea) and extremely minor league all-time loser. If you still write about (or care about) Adam Hollioake or Ben Hollioake could you take a look at a question I've asked on each discussion page on those articles regarding the logic of where they went to school . E G Martin

Thanks for your good work on E G Martin. I can't remember from where I got his birth date. The information for the sailing came from # Jolie Brise - Robin Bryer, Secker & Warburg 1982 ISBN 978-0436071812 I am only a dabbler (probably a source of some annoyance) on Wikipedia so am grateful for your assistance. Indian Cricket

They didn't mention anything in Hindu or Sportstar, as far as I know, and I am fairly regular reader of both. It just stopped without mentioning any reason. I have a friend who works in the sports desk of Hindu and he says (quoting their sports editor) that there are no plans of reviving it, and the reason appears to be that it wasn't selling too many copies. (The argument against this is that Indian Cricket *never* sold too many copies but Hindu retained it as a tradition). Tintin 17:38, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
