Tiandong North station and wikidata

I see you linked wikidata and Tiandong North railway station. I notice wikidata has info like location, number of platfors etc. Can these just be added to the Tiandong North railway station station info box or is further verification required?Johnkn63 (talk) 11:18, 8 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

riddle me this, I got lucky again, being IP-banned by a bad apple/cop on zh site. As far as I am concerned, It is most uncalled for and utterly stupid on his part. { who would win a noble literary prize at translating his mother's laundry list, one might ask, right?)

I am a profession en-> zh translator, the quality of my translation is all on the 'original' text.

IF you have any leisure time plus curiosity, do take a look into my talk page there and discern how much 'injustice' we all suffered by such bloated ego-manic. The thing is due to his stupidity, I can't make contact with _anybody_ on my team. I do have deadlines to meet.

And to judge my Chinese language proficiency: see my semi-professional profile on Proz.com [ https://www.proz.com/interpreter/2587034 ]

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

104.6 FM moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, 104.6 FM, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. List of Provincial expressways that wrongly use NTHS-like codes

Should the route which is now G6522 (created in the 2022 plan) be a part of this list? If my understanding is correct, it was signed as G65 at the time, but current G65 was signed as "G65W".

G65W

Dennis Dartman (talk) 00:45, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Well, some weeks I visited a Bilibili streaming video, and actually there's G6522 sign on it, so I think G65 entry could be dropped? Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 01:02, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
My suggestion is that if you really think this is within our scope and you want to create its article, better to use the G6522 title, which of course it matches the 2022 plan. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 01:07, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Prior to the official designation of G6522 in 2022, was G65W a provincial or a true national G-road? Dennis Dartman (talk) 18:56, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, G65W (and later G6522 during 2017-June 2022) was designed by Shaanxi locally, not actual nationally, just note that G65 and G6522 routes were exchanged in c.2018. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 02:11, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So the correct sequence is:
  1. Shaanxi designates G65W, which is not part of the NTHS despite its number (?)
  2. 71118 plan happens (2017)
  3. G65W is re-designated G6522 by the Shaanxi government (albeit without actually appearing in the 71118 list) (2017)
  4. G6522 is completed (2018)
  5. G65 is rerouted onto the newly completed highway, and the old highway becomes G6522 instead (2018)
  6. G6522 becomes officially part of the NTHS during the 2022 update (2022)
Is my understanding accurate? Dennis Dartman (talk) 04:54, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Liuxinyu970226: Dennis Dartman (talk) 00:51, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
fine. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 02:13, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What about G6517 Wuzhou–Liuzhou Expressway? A note says that it was originally "G6511" according to "GB/T 917-2013" before attaining its current number in 71118 (the current G6511 is in Shaanxi), which I take is a plan specific to Guangxi province. So if that logic is correct, shouldn't it also belong under the "unofficial NTHS code" former section?

Did unofficial G6513-16 ever exist? What about other highways numbered G6511 and G6512 before 2022? Google Maps currently only depicts G6517 out of all of these. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dennis Dartman (talkcontribs) 18:55, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There are no G6513-16 routes existing as I've re-checked, the reason why this panorama exists may be interested. G6512 is a purely new route in 2022 that doesn't exist in any time periods before this year. But for G6511, there's indeed some year-old sources indicate that Wuliu (now numbered as G6517) was numbered G6511 in the early plans, however they later switched "-11" to "-17" because the eleven is considered a bad luck number in Wuzhou dialect (just like 13 for many European peoples). Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 02:07, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, that's interesting, thanks for sharing! I wasn't familiar with any taboo surrounding 11 in Sinitic culture. Dennis Dartman (talk) 04:50, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Did G1203 ever exist?

G1201 = Jilin beltway, unofficial
G1202 = Songyuan beltway, unofficial
G1204 = Baicheng beltway, unofficial, redesigned S17

Well, where's G1203? My speculation is that it was meant to be a Da'an beltway but the plans simply never surfaced. Dennis Dartman (talk) 05:00, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Searched too many remote sources, G1203 only indicates a high-speed train from Harbin West to Shanghai Hongqiao. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 03:47, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
