Come Help Edit!

I'd be happy if you'd contribute more to the Lego Ninjago: The Series article. Your original help was great, thanks. I posted some suggestions on the discussion page as well.

If you want you can watch more episodes of the series on youtube. I believe a user named XmasToys has several uploaded.

It's last

There are cases where "it's last" is correct. Sometimes, the words are being used to mean "it is last". That was the case at Amar'e Stoudemire: [1] (which was an exact quote, anyway). Zagalejo^^^ 19:59, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I ignored every use in a direct quote as i went through the list; missed this one. Good catch, thanks for the help. Cheers, LindsayHello05:33, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion on the AFT5 Request for Comment

Hey LindsayH - this is to notify you that there is a discussion startingon the Article Feedback RfC talkpage that has ramifications for the RfC itself. Your input is much appreciated :). Thanks! and apologies if I've missed anyone Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 16:44, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Visočica (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nominationby visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. No worries to me; i only created it to help a newbie who was evidently having trouble. If it's deleted i'm not hurt ~ but his enthusiasm might be. Cheers, LindsayHello 17:03, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A cup of tea for you!

I wanted to drop by and formally thank you for your RfC close. Your decision was fair, honest, and as respectful of consensus as anyone could expect. Thanks very much for your help! Evanh2008 (talk|contribs) 08:14, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
My pleasure. Thank you for the cuppa...you've just put a thirst on me, so i'm off to pop the kettle on. Cheers, LindsayHello 14:03, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Thanks.

No problem. I happen to be generally into local geography, so I was able to quickly verify what they were saying. Another half-decent tool is to type a toponym into Google Maps, and see if multiple entries appear instantly in the drop-down menu. That's a clear giveaway of a need for disambiguation (although not bulletproof). --Joy [shallot] (talk) 09:00, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I had to decline A7 here, third-party coverage is generally taken to indicate significance, which is a lower bar than notability. No concerns about sending this to PROD or AfD if he's non-notable, which may very well be the case. Thought I owed you an explanation. Cheers, --j⚛e deckertalk 19:27, 1 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We live and learn. I've PRODded the article, as he doesn't meet notability. If you see this, thanks for the explanation, Joe; polite. Cheers, LindsayHello 04:14, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lindsay, I've contested that PROD as the player has indeed played international football for the Nepal national team therefore passing WP:NFOOTBALL. National-football-teams.com states he has played twice for Nepal both of which were against Pakistan see here. I did some digging and found reliable sources from República & The Himalayan Times verifying he played both on 6 February see here and the 9 February see hereagainst Pakistan therefore I've contested the PROD. Have a good day ★☆DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 05:23, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Juice It Up!

I think we were both reviewing the article at the same time and posted nearly identical improve boxes. I deleted my duplicate tags and have nominated the article AfD for being a corp advert and lacking notability. -Ad Orientem (talk) 04:39, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Funnily enough, Ad Orientem, i think we bumped into each other at Vasiliy Kirdyapa too, except you were first. Somehow this potential duplication ought to be captured by Curation. Cheers, LindsayHello 04:47, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Velká Chuchle

Hi LindsayH, I'm writing the article on the Velká Chuchle racetrack which you recently marked as needing improvement. I'm all for it, but, being new to Wikipedia, I'd like to ask for suggestions before I go about changing things, possibly for the worse. Any tips on making the article better would be appreciated, cheers. Aaaackhdh (talk) 07:18, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, i've not got a huge amount of time right now, but as i recall, it seemed to me that there was a little too much detail, things that weren't really necessary, especially in the History section. I also thought that the headers might have been reduced somewhat; they make navigation through the article easier, but they can also be a bit intimidating, i think. There are also some issues with grammar and vocabulary and consistency of English; if English isn't your first language, that's fine, but it does show a bit.
It is on my list of things to work on. I'm more a run around and fix a few little things kind of editor, rather than a increase the content kind, so i'll probably take another look at the English usage and various other things in the next couple of days. So, i'll probably see you there! Cheers,LindsayHello 11:21, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article Feedback Tool update

Hey Lindsay. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.

Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 18:54, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Convenience heading

Hi Lindsay,

Thanks for the noted update and position of authorship.

I only did it because someone copied my content from my 2012 article (without my permission as per chapter two of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyright_violations), to started a new one for this years running of the competition and when I try to add updates they delete my updates every time.

So I thought in doing that I would add my stamp on the content. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tazflerts (talkcontribs) 13:04, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Signature refactoring

I'm digging into memory for the great sig wars of ~2007 here, but to the best of my knowledge, refactoring obnoxious signatures when they appear in public discussions or on your own talk page is generally acceptable practice. Seeing that I've done the same several times in recent memory without complaint, I believe that consensus still holds. --erachima talk 19:01, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Curiosity (without killing cats)

I've posted at AN - thread is Merchandise. Floquenbeam sees the shop, and can't work out why I don't. Do you use Firefox with AdBlock Plus? If you do and he doesn't, that could be the answer.Peridon (talk) 18:41, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Noelia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chihuahua(check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles.Read the FAQ • Join us at theDPL WikiProject.

The annoying thing about this (and just about every other message i receive from this lovely bot) is that it is completely unnecessary. WP just stopped accepting my edits as i tried immediately to correct the link, so.... And, yes, i know i'm responding to a non-human bot; it just makes me feel a little better and eases the frustration! Cheers,LindsayHello 17:31, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kim Il-sung

Well, whenever I tried to put the pictures in the right place (for example his 1946 picture in the youth section, they seemed to cluster around the right hand side of the page, even though I put left in the code, so I thought it would be best just to remove them rather than have them in the wrong sections.
